Abstract

Heavy metal Cu(II) which contained in electroplating wastewater is a highly toxic substance and very dangerous for living creatures. The toxicity that these metals carry can lead to chronic, acute, and cancer-causing poisoning. Biosorption with fungi is one of the abatement methods to reduce the metal contaminant in environment. The present study aimed at determining the maximum biosorption capacity and the removal percentage of Cu(II) biosorption by Coprinus comatus. Empty Fruit Bunches(EFB) is used as growing medium of Coprinus comatus then used to adsorb a solution containing heavy metal Cu(II) with concentration 1,62 ppm. The adsorbed metal ion was calculated from metal ion concentration after activated by H2SO4 with variation concentration based on the analysis with Atomic Absorption Spectrophotometry (AAS) method. The result showed that Cu(II) not effectively adsorbed by Coprinus comatus activated by H2SO4 as the biosorbent. Keywords : Biosorption, Coprinus comatus, Activated, H2SO4, Electroplating

Abstract

Crude Palm Oil (CPO) processing plant PT.Z Pelalawan Regency is one of the palm oil processing factories that uses palm kernel shell fuel and palm fiber as an energy source. Pal oil processing is certainly in the environment, pollutant gases and dust. This research to analyse the concentration and distribution of dustfall from the pollutant source. Sampling of dustfall using a dustfall collector based on SNI 13-4703-1998. Variation of dustfall sampling distance 0 m, 300 m, 1230 m from the pollutant source. The results showed that the highest concentration of dustfall wa at distance of 0 m, from the pollutan souerce with an average value of 24,46 g/m2/month at a distance of 0 m from the pollutant source and the lowest at distance of 1230 m wit an average value of 5,13 g/m2/month.Keyword : Shell, Fiber Distance, Palm Oil Mill

Abstract

Ozone is a strong oxidizer consisting of oxygen which can replace chlorine so that it is used to treat wastewater, deodorizing, deinfecting, sterilizing medical devices and eliminating germs. Ozone can be generated by using ultraviolet radiation, optochemical reactions and dielectric barrier discharge (DHF). The most widely used ozone generation technology is dielectric barrier discharge.The power supply tools built are power supply as a PLN voltage rectifier, switch control circuit IC CD4047, push pull inverter circuit, parallel LC resonant circuit and flyback transformer as a voltage to voltage converter high.The resonant frequency of a parallel LC with a constant inductor (L) value of 100mH and a variation of the capacitor (C) value of 150nF, 470nF and 1F. This test also uses permanent magnets above and below the electrode with two conditions, namely attraction and without magnet. The test results show that the even distribution of plasma occured in dielectric barrier discharge (DHF) at a gap of 2mm air gap at a resonant frequency of 41 kHz in two magnetic conditions was attraction and without magnet. Furthermore, the greatest voltage seen occurs in the Ia model (resonant frequency 41 kHz magnetic attraction condition) compared to other conditions with a voltage value of 8.73kV. The highest ozone concentration in this study can be seen in the Ia model of all testing models. The ozone concentration of model IIc (503 Hz resonant frequency without magnetism) had the lowest ozone concentration of all models and conditions. Abstract

One of the significant purposes of reliability system analyzing is to evaluate the system’s ability to complete the load system requirement. The real problems of assessing the adequacy of the generation and bulk power transmission system about providing a dependable and suitable supply at the terminal stations can be designated as composite system reliability evaluation. The electric power system of Pekanbaru is an isolated system consisting of 4 generations, 12 substations, and 22 transmission lines. The calculated reliability evaluation by using expected energy not supplied indices at each substation in the contingency N-1. The outage of the generation unit significantly affects the EENS value in the hybrid system, the amount of capacity that comes out of the system greatly affects the value of the load that can be served. There is no EENS value when the contingency N-1 of the transmission line is due to the ring system model and the radial system as well as the large current-carrying capacity of the transmission line, so that when a contingency N-1 occurs the transmission line system can still serve all load points. The results of this study show that the EENS value existed at the release of the PLTU tenayan 1 and PLTU Tenayan 2. The EENS value is 2347,5415 MWh/ year or 0.054% of the total energy consumption in 2019 at the Garuda Sakti substation.Keywords: composite reliability, contingency, load curtailment, EENS, ETAP 12.6.

Abstract

Domestic liquid waste has organic matter and high pollutant load. Microalgae Chlorella sp. is able to utilize organic material as a source of nutrition for its growth, hence it may reduce pollutant of domestic liquid waste. Microalgae Chlorella sp. which grows on the surface of the disk is suspended in domestic liquid waste using a Rotary Alga Biofilm Reactor (RABR) is able to absorb high level nutrient, so that they have high cell growth. In this research, it is conducted by using speed rational variations in RABR process (2, 4, dan 6 rpm) and contact time (0, 1, 3, 5, 7 days) to remove COD parameters. Based on the results toward the removal of pollutant parameters by using 4 rpm rotational speed variation is higher than using 2 and 6 rpm. The concentration of COD removal of 210 mg/L with the removal efficiency of 73,08 %.Keywords: Chlorella sp, COD, Rotation Speed, Domestic Liquid Waste, Rotary Alga Biofilm Reactor (RABR)

Abstract

Sodium hydroxide is one of the basic chemicals that has an important role in the production process such as silica. NaOH is used as a solvent to dissolve the silica present in the palm fly ash. NaOH recovery is an alternative to reduce production costs. This study aims to determine the NaOH recovery process in the manufacture of silica from palm fly ash. NaOH is recoveredusing the caustification method by reacting the by-product Na2CO3 with Ca(OH)2. The variables studied were 40 minutes (lowest) and 100 minutes (highest); and the mass of Ca(OH)2 is 30 gr (lowest) and 50 gr (highest). The fixed variables used were Na2CO3 0.5 L; stirring speed of 500rpm and temperature of 85oC. The caustic solution was analyzed by titration to determine % NaOH and % Na2CO3. RSM-CCD was used to determine the optimum conditions for the NaOH recovery process. The results showed that the optimum operating conditions were 90.2 minute and the mass of Ca(OH)2 was 54.14 gr.Keywords :NaOH, optimization, palm fly ash, RSM, caustification.

Abstract

The development of internet technology is currently overgrowing, so the need for technological tools is increasing, one of which is the need for the internet. One easy way and much-loved by people is to use a wireless system/hotspot system. However, in using Wi-Fi network services in aplace with a limited bandwidth/speed, the user becomes wasteful both in terms of time and internet network usage. The purpose of this research is to design a Wi-Fi corner hotspot system using a proxy in a public place at the Otot IT store and make the voucher system key access to the internet network. This research was carried out in the Otot IT shop environment on JalanRaya Pekanbaru-Bangkinang KM43, Koto Tibun village. The stages carried out in this study began with problem identification, literature study, identification of system requirements, system design, and system testing. The RB 941-2nD (hAP Lite) router will be the primary device in creating a Wi-Fi corner hotspot. The voucher system is made using the Mikhmon application.Testing the internet connection quality can be seen using the PING, download, andupload parameters. In this study, the data analysis technique used is qualitative analysis with the Quality of Service (QoS) method. This study shows that users who want to use internet service access must have a voucher first, different from before where users only ask for a Wi-Fi password and can repeatedly enter with the same password. If you do not have a voucher, youcan directly come to the store admin to buy it. With the voucher system, the network quality in the store will be able to be controlled and managed, such as limiting the sale of vouchers if users are using the internet a lot and avoiding repeated logins by users as before doing the voucher systemKeyword: Wi-Fi Corner, Hotspot, Mikrotik, Otot IT, & Voucher

Abstract

The development of fifth-generation network telecommunications technology (5G) in Indonesia can make commercial, medical, academic, and governmental services more efficient and faster in the field of communication so that 5G technology is needed for the future. The 5G telecommunications technology can be optimally applied in Indonesia in 2020 if the parameters are designed following Indonesia's 5G channel. Channel Modeling 38 GHz for 5G communication using NYUSIM (New York University Simulator) using Matlab-based SSCM (Software Statistical Channel Modeling) data. This research was conducted in Pekanbaru City sub-District for the urban microcell (UMi) scenario, the resulting value was in the form of Pathloss value (125.5 dB), Power Receive (-95.5 dBm), AOA (Angle of Arrival) angle of arrival (from receiver to transmitter) displays the angle received is ± 180 degree, while the AOD (Angle of Departure) departure angle (from the transmitter to the receiver) shows the angle of departure is ± 270 degree, and the Omnidirectional Power Delay Profile (PDP) value is 750 ns with standard deviation is 12.3 ns. The results displayed are a reference source and make future predictions for researchers for installer, planners and commercial communication with 5G. Keywords : NYUSIM, Power Delay Profile, Pathloss

Abstract

This study examines the effect of crumb rubber on the mechanical properties of rigid pavement fiber concrete as an added material to increase the flexibility of rigid pavements. The specimens were tested mechanically such as compressive strength, tensile strength and flexural strength for 7, 14 and 28 days. The results showed that optimum compressive strength occurred at a percentage of 2% crumb rubber, but for the effectiveness of using rubber waste without sacrificing the compressive strength of the plan using a percentage of 4% crumb rubber. The value of the compressive strength of concrete PCC Normal and PCC +4% crumb rubber experienced a steady increase. The value of PCC +4% split tensile strength crumb rubber showed lower results than normal PCC concrete. PCC +4% concrete flexural strength of crumb rubber has a higher value than normal PCC concrete. Based on the results of these tests it was concluded that PCC +4% concrete crumb rubber had mechanical properties on increasing compressive strength which remained stable and better flexural strength, but the tensile strength showed a decrease in normal PCC concrete. Abstract

Minas Gas Turbine (MGT) is one of the main assets owned by the Department of Power Generation and Transmission (PG&T) operated by Chevron Indonesia Company (CPI). PG&T hasthe duty to guarantee the distribution of electricity to all assets and offices operated by Chevron Indonesia Company (CPI). Minas Gas Turbine has a Power Output of 200 - 400 MW. MGT has 11turbines that are driven by gas fuel which are processed through the Gas Power Cycle. Gas which isused as fuel is distributed by PT. Conoco Philips in Grisik located in Jambi and gas from a well owned by CPI. PLTG is a generator that has a fast response to changes in load. Therefore, changes inthe burden on PLTG often occur. To maintain the performance of the PLTG, the existing equipment in the PLTG must be maintained so that it can work optimally. In this Final Project an actual analysis ofthe efficiency of the gas turbine will be carried out on the operation load of the Gas Turbine unit # 6 type MS5001PA, by analyzing the efficiency produced by a natural gas-fired gas turbine. From theresults of this study it was found that the thermal efficiency of the Turbine Gas Turbine unit # 6 typeMS5001PA in the Minas Gas Turbine area at a load of 20 MW is 19.06%Keyword: Gas Turbine, Thermal efficiency, compressor, turbine
