<![CDATA[Abstract: This study aims to determine the effect of various types of organic fertilizers on the growth of water spinach (Ipomea reptans Poir.). This research is an experimental research conducted in October-December 2021 at the Biology Education Nature Laboratory, University of Riau. This study used a randomized block design consisting of 4 treatments with 4 groups of replications so that there were 16 experimental units. The treatment consisted of control treatment, manure treatment, bokashi fertilizer treatment, and composter drum fertilizer treatment. Data was collected by measuring plant height, number of leaves, and plant wet weight. The results showed that the application of various types of organic fertilizers had a significant effect on the growth of water spinach (Ipomea reptans Poir.). Bokashi fertilizer produced the best growth with a height of 37.80 cm, a total of 23.25 leaves, and a wet weight of 21.74 grams.Key Words: Organic fertilizer, Growth, Ipomea reptans Poir.]]>

<![CDATA[Abstract: This study aims to determine the effect of foreign ownership and women's boards on the financial performance of manufacturing companies listed on the IDX in 2017-2022. This research will be conducted on food and beverage sub-sector manufacturing companies listed on the Indonesian Stock Exchange (IDX) in 2017-2021 that have complete data (foreign ownership, women's boards and financial performance)There are 7 companies with a year of 35. This type of research is descriptive and quantitative research using Path Analysis. <![CDATA[Abstract: The purpose of this study was to determine the correlation of self-efficacy with cognitive learning outcomes in science for class VII students of SMP N 42 Pekanbaru during the Covid-19 pandemic. In order to achieve this goal, quantitative research was carried out in the form of correlation research and descriptive research design. The variables observed in this study were self-efficacy (self-confidence) and student science cognitive learning outcomes which were carried out in November 2021-January 2022. The instruments used were validation sheets, self-efficacy questionnaires and test instruments. The data source comes from primary data, namely the results of closed questionnaire data from self-efficacy and the results of students' cognitive tests in the form of objective questions on natural science material classification of living things and open interviews. The results of the study showed that there was a significant correlation between self-efficacy (X) and cognitive learning outcomes in science (Y) in the moderate category in science learning class VII SMP Negeri 42 Pekanbaru during the Covid-19 pandemic in the 2021/2022 academic year. self-efficacy affects science cognitive learning outcomes by 28.39% and the remaining 71.61% is influenced by other factors not determined in this study. <![CDATA[Abstract: The term "code-mixing" is used in research of bilingual language acquisition to describe a developmental stage in which children mix vocabulary from different languages. That, the objective of the research is to learn what the students think about using code-mixing in the process of teaching, and based on the final result, it seems that the objective has been achieved. his research was designed using a descriptive- quantitative methodology, They found that code-mixing has positive effects on them. They thought that using code-mixing helped them save time in finding the words to use in a conversation. <![CDATA[Abstract: This study aims to determine the perception and motivation of students in choosing the Japanese Language Education Study Program at Riau University. In addition, it is also to find out the most dominant factors that affect the perception and motivation of students.The method used in this study is the Quantitative Descriptive method by using the Google Docs application as a data retrieval medium, namely Angket. Then the researcher analyzes the data by using the SPSS application to get the mean value. After the mean value is obtained, the calculation of the dominant factor that affects the perception and motivation of students is carried out. The students who were used as respondents were students of the class of 2020, 2021 and 2022.From the results of the study, it can be concluded that students of the Japanese Language Education Study Program have a positive perception and motivation towards the simultaneous selection of their study program. Furthermore, researchers are expected to expand the scope of respondents, not only students in one study program, but also other study programs in the language and arts education department of Riau University.Key Words: Perception, Motivation, Student]]>

<![CDATA[Abstract: After direct observations in the field, it was impressed that the Learning of Physical Education on Sports and Health During the New Normal Period for Grade 9 Students at MTsN 4 Kampar had not been implemented effectively. That is, physical education learning at the school is still far from other fields of study. Likewise, the students in participating in learning seem less motivated to take part in physical education learning. It is as if the physical education learning is just a spare time filler and complement. When learning takes place the students also look not serious and often play truant for no apparent reason. The purpose of this study was to find out and at the same time describe students' motivation in learning physical education, sport and health during the new normal period in class VIII MTsN 4 Kampar students. The target population is the number of students who are always actively involved in participating in the physical education learning process as many as 91 male students and 97 female students spread from class VIII A to class VIII F. From the population, 20% of the population is taken randomly or with the Random Sampling technique. Thus obtained a sample of 38 people. Data is taken through the distribution of questionnaires. Based on the findings of research on students' intrinsic and extrinsic motivation towards learning physical education, sports and health at MTsN 4 Kampar, it can be concluded that the intrinsic motivation of students at MTsN 4 Kampar obtained an achievement level of 84.70%, classified as "Good. Extrinsic motivation of students at MTsN 4 Kampar obtained an achievement level of 83.07%. The classification is "Good.Key Words: Motivation, Intrinsic, Extrinsic.]]>

<![CDATA[Abstract: The purpose of this study was conducted to find out the perceptions of athletes according to the trainers and athletes of the city of Pekanbaru fencing towards training through virtual methods. This research was conducted using a type of quantitative descriptive research. The data in this study are primary data, namely data obtained directly from the respondents in the form of the results of the fencing practice perception test during the virtual method. The time in the research process was carried out in May-July 2021. The instrument used in this research was a closed questionnaire. Based on the results of the research and discussion that the authors have described in the previous chapter, it can be concluded that the results of the perception data of fencing athlete training through the virtual city of Pekanbaru method are in the Very Low category of 13 athletes and 2 coaches. It can be seen from the statistical figures showing the results of the standard deviation of 26.9 while the highest score is 80 and the lowest score is 20. Therefore the quality of the athlete's fencing is very low during virtual training. Then the results of the analysis are seen from the results of the frequency numbers which show that there are 13 athletes whose results are low, which means that there are 13 athletes who are in a low position, virtual training greatly affects the quality of the Fencing athletes in Pekanbaru City. <![CDATA[Abstract: This research aimed at finding out whether there is the effect of intensive reading on vocabulary mastery of SMAN 2 Tapung Students. This research used a sequential explanatory mixed method combining quantitative and qualitative methods. The sample of this research is 30 students of XI IPS 1 class. The research data were collected through Pre-test and Post-test as the research instrument. The test items consist of synonyms and antonyms. The result revealed that the posttest mean score was higher than the mean score of the pretest. Additionally, the result of hypothesis analysis showed that the significance 2-tailed was lower than the alpha that was 0.000 ≤ 0.050. It indicated that Ho (Null Hypothesis) was rejected and Ha (Alternative Hypothesis) was accepted. Briefly, in all the explanations above there was a significant effect of intensive reading on vocabulary mastery of SMAN 2 Tapung Students.Key Words: Intensive Reading and Vocabulary Mastery]]>

<![CDATA[Abstract: The problem in this study is the agility of the men's badminton players PB KKNP Dumai that is not optimal points for opponents, the aim of this study was to determine the effect of shuttle run training on the agility of men's badminton athletes at PB KKNP Dumai. The population in this study consisted of all male badminton players using a total sample technique of 17 athletes. This type of study uses a single-group pre-test-post-test design, using the Hexagonal Obstacle Test. Based on the descriptive analysis of the pre-test data, there is a difference in the numbers increasing or increasing by 2.03. And based on statistical analysis, using the t-test yields a tcount of 9,666 and a ttable of 1,764. Means tcount > ttable Based on the above findings and data processing, the following can be concluded: There is an influence between shuttle run training (X) on agility (Y) in the male athletes of PB KKNP Dumai.Keywords: Shuttle Run, Agility, Badminton Training]]>

<![CDATA[Abstract: The aim of this study was to find out the ability of the eighth grade students of SMPN 20 Pekanbaru in comprehending procedure texts. The population of this research was the eighth grade students of SMPN 20 Pekanbaru. There were 30 students who participated in this study. The research instrument was multiple choice questions, which consisted of 30 questions. The test given include 5 components such as: finding main idea, finding factual information, finding generic structure of procedure text, finding meaning of difficult word and finding references. The data were analyzed by classifying them into 5 levels of ability, such as very poor, poor, mediocre, good and excellent. The result showed that the ability of the eighth grade students of SMPN 20 Pekanbaru in comprehending procedure texts was at mediocre level with the mean score was 55.5. Thus, it can be said that the majority of students was able to comprehend procedure texts. Based on the results of the research, it is advised that the students read more procedure texts and practice comprehending procedure texts to enhance their reading comprehension.Key Words: Students’ Ability, Reading Comprehension, Procedure Texts]]>
