Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui bagaimana kinerja keuangan perusahaan Semen yang terdaftar di BEI periode 2007-2011. Mengingat persaingan di dunia usaha semakin lama semakin ketat sehingga penilaian kinerja perusahaan menjadi ukuran keberhasilan sebuah perusahaan. Analisis Economic Value Added (EVA) dan Market Value Added (MVA) untuk mengetahui kinerja keuangan PT. Semen Gresik, Tbk, PT. Holcim Indonesia, Tbk, dan PT. Indocement Tunggal Prakasa, Tbk. Periode penelitian yaitu tahun 2007-2011 ( 5 Tahun). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat nilai positif pada kedua indikator penilaian kinerja keuangan perusahaan. Nilai EVA positif menunjukkan bahwa perusahaan mampu menciptakan nilai tambah sehingga laba yang tersedia mampu memenuhi ekspektasi para penyandang dana. Nilai MVA positif menunjukkan bahwa perusahaan telah mampu meningkatkan kekayaan para pemegang sahamnya. Demikian pula berlaku sebaliknya. Terdapat korelasi antara nilai EVA dan MVA. Kenaikan nilai EVA ternyata juga diikuti oleh kenaikan nilai MVA, hal ini mengindikasikan bahwa pasar merespons positif kinerja keuangan perusahaan yang mampu memberi nilai tambah bagi perusahaan.   Kata kunci : kinerja keuangan, Economic Value Added (EVA), Market Value Added (MVA)

Abstract

The  aim  of this study  is  to determine how the application of  equal employment opportunity (EEO) by ratification of Convention of ILO No. 111 towards the elimination of gender discrimination in the  Bank X  Branch Kediri. This study used qualitative research methods  -  case study, the method used to reach,  explain and describe any problems with greater depth and in accordance with the problem and research objectives. This study uses three informants  as key persons, selected by  purposive and snowball sampling. The data analysis technique used is the analysis of the meaning (content analysis).  Data verification analyses used are construct validity, internal and external validity,  and reliability. The results of this study are not encountered discrimination against female workers in terms of: access to employment, access to training and development, access to appropriate positions gain increased experience, and the same wage. In the aspect of working conditions, provision of life and health insurance provided to employees of women are not equal to male employees Keywords: Equal Employment Opportunity, ILO No. 111, Gender Discrimination.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of Capital Adequacy Ratio (CAR), Return On Asset (ROA), Non Performing Loan, and Interest Rateof SBI on total outstanding of loans (Studies in Foreign Exchange Banks that listed in BEI over period 2010-2011). Types of research used in this research is explanative research that aims to explain the causal relationship between the causal variables through hypothesis testing. The sampling technique used was nonprobability sampling and obtained a sample of 21 companies and 42 samples in total. To test the hypothesis proposed in this study used regression analysis. Regression analysis showed that ROA, and CAR as well as have a significant influence on dividend policy, meanwhile DER and Firm Size have not a significant influence on total outstanding loans. Based on these results, banks can make Capital Adequacy Ratio, and Return On Asset as reference in predicting total outstanding of loans.. Abstract

This study disscuses the servicescape and interpersonal comunication skills of employees that affect customer satisfaction tourism service. The purpose of this study was to determine whether the servicescape factors consisting of enviromental conditions, spatial layout, signs and symbol or artifacts and interpersonal  communication affects customer satisfaction and also to find out which factors are the most dominant influence on custumer satisfaction. The analytical method used is multiple regression analysis and classical assumption. As for testing the hypothesis using the F test and T test based on the analysis performed, variable ambient conditions (X1), spatial layout (X2), signs,  symbol, artifacts (X3), and interpersonal communication skills (X4) jointly have a significant impact on customer satisfaction. Based on the T test is known that (X1), (X2), (X3), no significant effect partially while (X4) significant effect partially. Through standardized β coefficient obtained that variable interpersonal communication skills have a dominant influence in the amount of 0,544. Abstract

This study aims to determine whether  fundamental factors proxied by variables WCTO, ROE, DER, DPR, Sales Growth, and technical factors proxied by Beta affect firm value represented by PBV.  The population in this research is a  manufacturing company listed on the Indonesian Stock Exchange (BEI) in the period 2009-2012.  Sampling  methode using purposive sampling and acquired 36 companies  were selected as sample. The analysis technique used is multiple regression, the classical assumption, hypothesis testing using t-statistics to test the partial regression coefficients and F-statistics to test the simultaneous effect on the level of significance of less than 5%, and Standardized Coefficients Beta Test to determine the independent variables that The most dominant effect on the dependent variable. The results of this research indicated that simultaneously (f-test), the average individual fundamental factors WCTO, ROE, DER, DPR, Sales Growth, and technical factors Beta affect the average PBV with R2 64.6%.  Partial test (t-test)showed that the average ROE and Sales Growth has positive  significant  influence  to the average PBV, while other average individual fundamentals factors WCTO, DER, DPR, and technical factors Beta did not influence the average PBV. Based on Standardized Coefficients Beta Test, the average ROE dominant  influence  the average PBV among other independent variables. Abstract

Penciptaan suatu nilai perusahaan dapat memberikan dampak positif kepada pemangku kepentingan termasuk pemegang saham. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menguji  pengaruh profitabilitas, kepemilikan manajerial, kebijakan dividen dan leverage terhadap price book value sebagai proksi dari nilai perusahaan. Populasi pada penelitian ini adalah perusahaan manufaktur yang terdaftar di Bursa Efek Indonesia selama periode 2009 sampai 2011. Sampel diambil dengan teknik purposive sampling yaitu didasarkan pada kriteria tertentu. Pengolahan serta pengujian data menggunakan software Statistical Product and Service Solution versi 17. Dari hasil analisis regresi berganda diketahui bahwa secara simultan profitabilitas, kepemilikan manajerial, kebijakan dividen dan leverage berpengaruh signifikan terhadap nilai perusahaan.  Secara parsial profitabilitas dan kebijakan dividen tidak berpengaruh terhadap nilai perusahaan. Sedangkan kepemilikan manajerial serta leverage berpengaruh negatif secara signifikan terhadap nilai perusahaan. Artinya semakin rendah kepemilikan saham dalam manajerial dan semakin rendah hutang, maka nilai perusahaan akan meningkat. Abstract

The work environment is circumstances of the surrounding workplace in physical and non-physical manner that can give enjoyable, secure, reassuring, and feel work at home impressions. The working environment is very important because it is closely related to the level of the employee performance, if the working environment better, it could give a positive influence on employee’ performance, and vice versa. This study uses the "explanatory research” approaching, that explain the causal relationship between the variables through hypothesis testing. The location of this research is the data collection office employees of PT. Perkebunan Nusantara X (Persero) Pabrik Gula Lestari, located on PG Lestari St., Ngrombot Village, Patianrowo sub-district, Nganjuk Regency. Based on the source, the data of this study consisted of primary data and secondary data. In collecting the data, the technique was used is: the spread of documentation and questionnaires with the respondents 34 employees. Data analysis techniques in this study  is multiple regressions that using SPSS 16.0. Based on the test results of multiple regression analysis it is known that the physical work environment and the non-physical to explain the employees’ performance is 26.9% while the rest is explained by other factors that unverified. Simultaneous hypothesis test to prove there is a significant effect on the physical environment and the non-physical work on employee performance. Partial hypothesis test to prove the physical work environment there is a significant influence on the performance of the employee while the non-physical work environment to prove there is  a significant influence on the employee performance. The independent variables were the dominant influence on employees’ performance evidenced in the standardized beta coefficients table with the highest value of non-physical work environment in the amount of 0.497. Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect  of  Hoftede cultural dimensions simultaneously or partially on deviant workplace behavior to  Pratama Singosari Tax Office’s employees . This type of research used in this research is explanatory research to study the  effect of independent variables, namely  power distance, collectivism/individualsm, masculinity/feminimity, uncertainty avoidance  and the dependent variable is workpace deviant behavior. The research instrument used was a questionnaire. Data analysis tool used in this study  is a multiple linear regression, which includes the classic assumption test, multicollinearity test, normality test, and  heterokedastisitas  test. As for testing the hypothesis include the F test and t test. Results showed variable  power distance, collectivism /individualsm, masculinity/feminimity,  partially contained  is not  significant influence  on  the workpace deviant behavior. As for the variable  uncertainty avoidance partially contained significant influence on deviant behavior workpace. Abstract

Satisfaction, quality, and experiential marketing are influencing parts that create a product’s or service’s word of mouth communication. Word of mouth  is the most effective promotion strategy in order to promote a product or service. Social networks nowadays are a requirement to socialize, one of them is Twitter. Twitter success could be affected by a good word of mouth in it’s marketing. Satisfaction, quality, and experiential marketing are important things in creating a word of mouth so the consumer encourage their friends and colleagues to use Twitter as a social networks too. A good word of mouth created only if consumer feels that the product or service brings a good satisfaction, quality, and experiential marketing. This study aims to explain the impacts of satisfaction, quality, and experiential marketing on Twitter’s word of mouth in Economics and Business Faculty students of Brawijaya University. This research use explanatory research approach that aims to explain causality among variables using hypothesis testing. Data is collected by survey using questionnaires for Economics and Business students of Brawijaya University. Purposive sampling is used as sampling method and gained 80 respondents. To test the hypothesis, multiple regression analysis is done.  The results of multiple regression analysis shows that the following variables: satisfaction, quality, and experiential marketing have significant influence on word of mouth. Abstract

With the development of information technology is very fast, the internet has become an effective tool in the delivery of information particularly in the business sector. Internet Financial Reporting is voluntary disclosure form that made the company to provide all financial information of the company through the internet. This will have an impact over the long term for the company because the stakeholders have the right to obtain information about any company's activity that will affect their decisions. Disclosure of information via the internet is also the company's efforts to reduce the asymmetry of information by outside parties. It is also a form of corporate communications with outside parties to improve their confidence and reduce uncertainty will be the prospect of a company that will come.  This research aims to know the influence of the Internet Financial Reporting and the level of disclosure of information Website Of the frequency of stock trading in Company Securities Indonesia LQ45 Index. The type of research used in this research is explanatory research (research description) that aims to explain the causal relationship between the causal variables through hypothesis testing. The Data collected through the study documentation on the Indonesia Stock Exchange Fact 2013. To test the hypothesis presented in this study used multiple regression analysis.  The results of this research show that the negative effect  and not IFR significantly to frequency of trading stocks. This indicates that there is no practice IFR or does not affect the level of frequency of stock trading. While the level of disclosure of a positive and influential website significantly to trade company stock LQ45 frequency. So the higher the level of disclosure of the high-frequency stock trading.
