Abstract

The objective of this research is to find out the influence of liquidity, profitability, and leverage ratio on Dividend Payout Ratio in Manufacture companies listed on IDX period 2009-2011. The liquidity ratio is represented by Current ratio, profitability ratio is represented in Return on Investement (ROI), and leverage ratio is represented by Debt to Equity ratio. The data used in this research are financial reports of 13 manufacture companies period 2009-2011 obtained from ICMD. Purposive sampling technique is used in order to get sample which is appropriate with the define criteria. The analysis tool used is multiple linear regression analysis. The result of the research shows that Current ratio, ROI, and Debt to Equity ratio simultaneously have significant influence on Dividend Payout ratio. The result also indicate that partially ROI has positive and significant influence on Dividend Payout ratio.Keywords:  Dividend Payout ratio, Current ratio, Return on Investment, and Debt to Equity ratio

Abstract

The objective of this study is to examine the effect of environmental performance and Corporate Social Responsibility disclosure on financial performance. Environmental performance is measured by the companies’ performance in the PROPER rating program by Indonesian State Minister for the Environment, while the disclosure of corporate social responsibility is measured by the index of Global Reporting Initiatives. Corporate financial performance is measured by calculating the company's stocks expected return. This research was conducted by testing the hypothesis, aimed to explain the phenomena of the relationship among variables. The hypothesis one examines the effect of environmental performance on corporate financial performance. Then, the hypothesis two examines the effect of Corporate Social Responsibility disclosure on corporate financial performance.  The samples of this study are 55 Basic Industry and Chemical Companies. The data was obtained from annual reports of the companies listed on Indonesia Stock Exchange and joined PROPER program from 2010 to 2012. Hypothesis analysis used in this study is multiple linear regressions. The findings of this study showed that environmental performance, Corporate Social Responsibility disclosure, and predetermined variable that is earnings per share are the significant variables to determine the dependent variable (corporate financial performance).   Keywords: Environmental Performance, Corporate Social Responsibility Disclosure, predetermined variable, Corporate Financial Performance

Abstract

Hotel income is not only obtained from a single source, therefore there is a need of management tool that can control and monitor income regularly from each income source. To give optimal contribution for the management, it is necessary to have an appropriate internal control system and good accounting control system so that the demand for relevant information by management can be fulfilled. This research employs descriptive qualitative approach. This approach is intended to provide a description about the research object which is internal control system in revenue cycle at Sahid Montana Dua Hotel. The data are obtained through observation, interviews, and documentation.Next, the phenomenafound are analyzed based on its individual component as set by the Committee of Sponsoring Organizations of the Treadway Commission (COSO) and evaluated to give some suggestions that can be useful for company and management. Based on the results of the evaluation, Sahid Montana Dua Hotel has a good internal control system in revenue cycle. However, there are some problems found because of the double duties in some positions that can lead to lack of control. In addition, the existing organizational structure has to be revised because it doesn’t describe the real condition/structure. Some improvements have to be made in the aspect of reporting procedures, organization structure and monitoring, so that the hotel internal control system can be more effective.   Keywords: Accounting Information System, Internal Control System, Revenue cycle

Abstract

This study  is  aimed to understand the roles of  Internal Audit Function  (IAF), specifically Sales Operation Audit (SOA), in supporting Good Corporate Governance (GCG) implementation based on the result from external reviewers in PT. Astra International, Tbk. Case study was employed as the research method and designed to answer the research questions. The thematic and content analyses were used  for interpreting  the  data. Moreover, the data collection methods were interview, observation and documentation. The findings of this study point out three main roles of IAF, specifically SOA, in supporting GCG implementation, which reviews corporate risk, provides assurance towards corporate control and assists business activities. In reviewing corporate risk, it requires the auditor to identify and control the risk. Then, in giving assurance towards corporate control, the evaluation of internal control is conducted. The last, in assisting the business activity, auditors become the business partner for management. This study has several implications which are classified into theory, practice, and policy. The theoretical implication refers to IAF which has roles  in supporting  GCG implementation which can contribute to the development of science, particularly in the audit disciplines. In the  field of practical implication, GCG nowadays becomes the important part of company and its good performance will indicate  the business sustainability. In addition, Group Audit and Risk Advisory have the key roles which could form them as the important function in Astra. Thus, it is appropriate for them to enlarge their roles for  the achievement of company’s long-term objectives. The last is implication in terms of policy which is appropriate for regulators and standards setters to continue in encouraging the companies in Indonesia to implement the principles of GCG by creating other initiative activities and/or adding up the incentives, such as the rewards, ease of  access,  or other motivational things for the companies. Abstract

As a company that sells services, servqual is closely related to the customer satisfaction. As a company whose main role is to give service to people, Biuti Hotel needs to pay attention to the Servqual factor to satisfy their customers. This research test  the Servqual that given by Biuti Hotel. The purpose of this study to Analyze the influence of Service Quality toward the satisfaction of Biuti Hotel customers in Banjarmasin This research used Multiple Regression Analysis. The results of the Multiple Regression Analysis show that Servqual (tangible, reliability, responsiveness, assurance and empathy) simultaneously has an influence toward the satisfaction of Biuti Hotel customers. And when these factors are partially tested, only the variable reliability that has not significant influence toward the satisfaction of Biuti Hotel customers. The value of Adjusted R Square shows that the satisfaction of Biuti Hotel customers influenced by servequal as much as 0,807 or 80,7%. While the rest as much as 0,193 or 19,3% influenced by other variable. Key words: Servqual, Customer Satisfaction, Biuti Hotel.

Abstract

This study aims to examine and explain how service quality, customer satisfaction and corporate image create customer loyalty in Indonesian banking company. The research was conducted in the area of Malang city, the individual customers who have  funding product owned PT. Bank Bukopin, Tbk in Malang city. Further  convenience sampling  technique  is used in this research with 150 people. The analysis tools are  Partial Least Square (PLS)  to determine the pattern and effect  relationships between variables in sequence, i.e. endogenous and exogenous variables. The  results of the study explained that there is a significant effect between  the  service quality to the customer satisfaction and corporate image,  the  corporate image to  the  customer satisfaction and  the  customer satisfaction to  the customer loyalty  Keywords: Service quality, customer satisfaction, corporate image, customer loyalty

Abstract

This research aimed to determine the effect of the promotion mix to consumer decision choosing Ollino Garden Malang Hotel rooms simultaneously and partially. Multiple linear regression analysis method used to know how big influence the independent variable (promotion mix) on the dependent variable (purchasing decisions). Based on the results of multiple linear regression analysis is known that the variables are not researched more influence on purchase decisions. Therefore, the promotion mix that has been done by the Ollino Garden Hotel Malang less influence on consumer decisions in choosing Ollino Garden Hotel Malang. Public relations and publicity variables more dominant influence on purchase decisions than the other promotion mix variables. Abstract

Aims  of  this  study  was  to  examine  CSR  disclosure  influence  concerning  financial performance within  tobacco  companies  listed  on  Indonesian  Stock  Exchange.  This research  describes  the  influence  of  independent  variable  Corporate  Social Responsibility disclosure on  two dependent variables namely Return On Equity and stock  return.  This  research  included  in  the  type  of  explanatory  and  population research. This  research used 3  firms namely PT Gudang Garam Tbk., PT Hanjaya Mandala Sampoerna Tbk., and PT Bentoel  Internasional  Investama as a population for  a  period  of  3  years  from  2009-  2011.  This  research  used  linear  regression  to examine  Corporate  Social  Responsibility  disclosure  effect  to  tobacco  financial performance. The result couldn’t prove that both research hypothesis were Corporate Social  Responsibility  disclosure  have  positive  influence  to  Return  On  Equity  and stock  return.  It  means  that  investors  assess  the  Corporate  Social  Responsibility information  disclosed  by  the  companies  in  their  annual  reports  for  their  investment decision. Abstract

The use of celebrities as part of a marketing strategy is one popular way to support the creation of a brand image (brand image).  Selection of celebrity as brand endorser which one of the strategy to built brand image. This study aims to investigate the influence of Iwan Fals as a celebrity endorser  on TOP Coffee brand image. This type of research in this research is explanatory  research. The data were collected through a questionnaire to college students as consumer TOP Coffee at UB. The sampling technique used was purposive sampling and obtained 150 college students as a sample. To test the hypothesis which is proposed in this study used multiple  regression analysis. The results show  that the dimensions of the variable celebrity endorser :  credibility, attractiveness, expertise, trustworthiness, and match-up product has a significant effect on brand image (Y) with a significance of 0.000 with a coefficient of determination (R2) of 0.446 (44.6 %). While partially, variable credibility, attractiveness, expertise, trustworthiness and product match-up showed a significant effect on brand image. The results of this analysis can be input for the company in terms of marketing strategy, especially TOP Coffee product promotion strategy. Keywords: celebrity endorser, brand image, TOP Coffee

Abstract

Kualitas pelayanan merupakan bagian dalam program pemasaran yang dapat mempengaruhi konsumen dalam melakukan pembelian sebuah produk atau jasa. Seiring meningkatnya tingkat pendidikan dan kondisi ekonomi, konsumen menjadi lebih pintar dalam memilih produk ataupun jasa yang berkualitas. Kualitas pelayanan berperan penting dalam mempengaruhi kepuasan konsumen. Kepuasan konsumen dapat tercapai jika kualitas pelayanan yang dirasakan konsumen sama atau melebihi harapan konsumen. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui Pengaruh Kualitas Pelayanan Terhadap Kepuasan Konsumen Dalam Menggunakan Jasa Transportasi Kereta Api Madiun Jaya (Studi Pada PT. Kereta Api Indonesia Daerah Operasi VII Madiun). Jenis penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah explanatory research  (penelitian penjelasan) yang bertujuan untuk menjelaskan hubungan kausal sebab akibat antara variabel-variabel  melalui pengujian hipotesa.  Data dikumpulkan melalui survei menggunakan kuesioner  terhadap penumpang kereta api Madiun Jaya. Adapun teknik pengambilan sampel yang  digunakan adalah purposive sampling  dan diperoleh sampel sebanyak  100  responden.  Untuk menguji hipotesis yang diajukan dalam penelitian ini digunakan analisis regresi berganda. Hasil analisis regresi menunjukkan bahwa  variabel kualitas pelayanan yang terdiri dari bukti fisik, keandalan, daya tanggap, jaminan, empati, kenyamanan, koneksi dan kemudahan  memiliki pengaruh yang  signifikan terhadap kepuasan konsumen. Di antara kedelapan variabel tersebut, variabel yang memiliki pengaruh dominan terhadap  kepuasan konsumen  adalah  variabel kenyamanan.   Kata kunci: Kualitas pelayanan, bukti fisik,  keandalan, daya tanggap, jaminan, empati, kenyamanan, koneksi, kemudahan, kepuasan konsumen.
