Abstract

Nowadays the Javanese traditional children’s games have started erased its existence. The development of technology, traditional games is now considered less interesting and have started being replaced with more modern toys and electronic toys. Whereas traditional game has many benefits for the development and growth of the child. With the presence of the museum of traditional childrens games are expected to introduce Java back knowledge about all kinds of Javanese traditional childrens games, as well as cultural values embodied in the traditional game. The design concept being used is the game gobak sodor. Gobak sodor is a group game and competition. While applications in materials, colors, furniture and interior, which are extracted from human motion playing gobak sodor, and competition in the game that is the opposite of games as well as paying attention to the museums main target function is intended for children. Adoption of these applications can be seen from the use and incorporation of dynamic and static forms, warm colours, namely orange that gives the impression of a dynamic, cheerful and uplifting and cold colours green gave the impression, tranquility and natural shade, natural materials of wood, parquet, bamboo and artificial materials include carpeting, pipe, and glass. In addition, applying local Javanese culture through elements of interior  batik motifs.

Abstract

Restaurant and kongkow place are a unity when talked about residents from Medan city. These became a problem for those migrants from Medan city in Surabaya city because of the lack of places for kongkow avtivity. So there’s needs for a restaurant that also can accomodate kongkow activity. This restaurant applied interior atmosphere that adapted from street atmosphere based from Medan city residents’s habit to kongkow outside. This restaurant is espected to become a place for all Medan city migrants in Surabaya city gather up or even introduce Medan city’s food to Surabaya city resident.

Abstract

Stylish design shows a shape, characteristic, expression, behavior and human culture that produces a new idea or thought about the concept of style in artifact factors. Catholic Church St. Albertus Magnus in Jetis Yogyakarta is one of the works YB Mangunwijaya. This church building reflects the simple and open but still retain the details that contain profound meaning of the traditional values of local cultures. This study uses qualitative research. Collecting data through interviews, literature review and field observations. The data were analyzed descriptively, the aim to determine the extent of the application of interior design styles on Church St. Albertus Magnus Jetis both in the field of space-forming elements (floors, walls and ceiling), transition elements (windows, doors and ventilation), a space filler elements (furniture), symbols, and decorative elements. From these results it was concluded Design of this church still thick with the feel of Java but still guided by the provisions of the church building, according to the design style of the concept of Romo Mangun who make the Church a simple and not extravagant but still true to the design, the church is also inculturation cultural experience. Inculturation of the church with the local culture. Inculturation seen from the laying of the building, forming elements of space and space filler. While the design style of Romo Mangun visible from space forming element, the element of space filler and natural materials.

Abstract

“Interior Designing Bike Center in Surabaya” is an idea to built and provide facilities for people who love sports, specifically cycling, in Surabaya. Cycling is very popular in Surabaya nowadays.The most like are fixed gear bike and road bike.The designer covers the bike lovers with facilities such as a café, mini-velodrome track, indoor training or gym, clinic, bike store, workshop, offices, and many other facilities. Linear Design Method is used by designer, and produce visualization design space and a 1:50 scale prototype. Designer presenting mini-velodrome and many other facilities that peoples can enjoy with their community, the design itself is especially for communal activities, so every spaces are designed fot community, not individual.

Abstract

The advancement of fashion industry is growing rapidly, and every single society is fond of it. Attention is given on formal, informal, and even casual outfit. With the presence of Jakarta Fashion Week every year, people are able to see the diversity of fashion’s evolution. Hence, this Jakarta Fashion Week Museum Interior Design is expected to provide knowledge and educate the public visitors regarding the evolution of fashion trends in Indonesia. Moreover, it conveys a message to the world that Indonesia is able to compete in global fashion industry. The Harmony of Geometrical Shapes concept is what this design will put forth. Thus, the will-be-used interior is more towards simple and geometric formation. This geometric formation is used in order to make the displayed fashion looks more prominent and attractive. Supporting facilities in this design are the lobby, gift shop, retail shop, café, museum display and show area, which will make visitors comfortable.

Abstract

The growing number of cars in Indonesia is getting higher, particularly in big cities like Surabaya, the second largest city in Indonesia. Aesthetic considerations become a major factor in choosing a car. With the rapidly growing amount of cars, the number of car repair services also increased. This is because the car owners always wants their car to be perfect. Therefore, whenever there is minor or major accident, the car owners will try to restore the condition of their car to its initial condition. Yuspeed is one of car repair shops in the city of Surabaya. A companys revenue is influenced by a lot of things, one of which is the presence of good interior design. With a well planned interior design in YuSpeed, it is expected to provide a good repair services, and also makes visitors feel pampered and comfortable.

Abstract

The development of tourism in Batu, Indonesia began to grow rapidly. This condition shows that there is an increasing number of people needs traveled in the area adjacent to nature. To facilitate what tourism needs, so we made a Green Interior Resort Hotel that can facilitate stay overnights with the excellence of the green interior concept application which is expected to become a new tourist destination icon.                The data analysis done with literature study, the data retrieval with comparative study and fields survey directly. While designing done with programmatic approach that involve programming, schematic design, and technical drawing.                The aim of this design is to produce a design that applies various variables of Greenship Interior Space versi 1.0 and get platinum certification level.

Abstract

Nowadays the economic developmentis increasing in Surabaya. This has a positive impact on retail companies in Surabaya. In order to remain competitive shop among many other stores, they need a unique interior design, comfortable and functional that can attract customers to shop. An attractive interior design alone is not enough, however they need an interior design that canreflect the image and strategies.Rotelli is one of the famous shoesbrand from Italy and has a vision to be a trendsetter in the field of womens fashion shoes in Indonesia. This study aims to determine whether the interior design of Rotelli reflects their brand image, which has an elegant, exclusive and comfortable concept and describe the application of brand image through interior design, color and materials they used.The final result is Rotelli is one of the brand that priorities their interior design’s shop and has a strong brand image. This is applicated through the interior arrangement is comfortable and supportive shopping activities, colors and materials that reflect the brand image of Rotelli.

Abstract

Bowling and Billiard Club is a form of recreation that could accommodate the communitys needs, especially Surabaya. As the information spread and peoples interest to try something new rise, availability of functional Bowling and Billiard facility is needed. Hence, appears the idea to provide a recreational and sport facility which applies "Garden" theme concept design as a means of Family Entertainment. The design of this bowling and billiard club also including some types of support facilities such as Bowling Club Area, Billiard Area, VIP Room, Control Counter, a sports retail shop, gallery, café area, lounge and bar area, as well as reading area.

Abstract

Expression and Appreciation interior design center for Indie Community in Surabaya "or called Indie Art Center is a place for the artists to express themselves and work as well as to gain an appreciation of the general public to provide direct observation and appreciation of works of art proficiency level. Indie art center based in East Java, which is located in the city of Surabaya is expected to accommodate a variety of work and creativity of the indie community can accommodate diversity event showcases. Indie Art Centers design with the theme sounds of change refers to the fighting spirit of the indie community to speak out loud and express their feelings, opinions and aspirations that contain the propaganda messages that are not directly bring changing to the world for the better world.
