Abstract

Popo Danes Architecture and Melati Danes Space and Style office is one of the architect and interior consultant office in Bali. The office still applies Balinese traditions in its design. In the room division there are some rooms that are not used in accordance with its function, making it difficult for employees to interact and work productively. Therefore, the concept of feel the art through the office that can answer the problems of the office. So with the concept is expected to be more comfortable and efficient for employees while working in the office of Popo Danes Architect and Melati Danes Space and Style. Futhermore, with this design can increases the number of requests for the services of architect or interior services because the client likes the design of Popo Danes Architect and Melati Danes Space and Style office.

Abstract

The elderly is the final phase of human life. At this phase, human change is prominent both physically and mentally, therefore extra care is needed to improve the welfare of elderly people. Family plays an essential role in caring for the elderly and helping the elderly to reach the available resources in order to meet the needs of their life. However, due to current development in this modern era and increasing demands of life, the habits of children or families to take care of their elderly parents are decreasing rapidly. Changes within the family structure are causing the family to consider that the existence of elderly is a burden.The interior design of the Usia Anugerah Nursing Home aims to fulfill all the needs of the elderly who do not receive special attention from their family. This design uses an analytical method by conducting field observation and interviewing directly as well as interacting with the elderly to clearly know the problems occurred. The Design of the Usia Anugerah Nursing Home uses the Healing  Environment approach in form of a garden in order to overcome hollow nest syndrome which gives negative impact on the elderly. In addition, the concept implementation of "Serve with Heart" is applied in the design in order to provide a sense of comfort and positive influence while in the nursing home.

Abstract

Exhibition is an effective way for food and beverage entrepreneurs to promote and market theirs products. Base on a survey, an exhibition generally takes place for a short time with a predetermined area between 2000 x 2000 mm, 2000 x 2400 mm, or 2000 x 3000 mm. These limited time and space make some entrepreneurs pay less attention to interior booth. Therefore, a design is needed to solve the problem through Kembel five methods which comprise emphatize (the step to look for problems), define (the process of formulating the problems), ideate (the steps of designing to solve the problems), prototype (the process of realizing result of the design), and test (assessing the design results in solving the problems). The design solution is to design a modular booth system through folding and knockdown construction. The purpose of the design is to enable entrepreneurs to conduct an exhibition maximally both in the assembly and disassembly for praticial and easier use, and artistic booth design that can be changed as desired to attract visitors.

Abstract

Human need light for everyday activity and because of that lamp is necesary for human life. With technology advancement, many type of lamp is created, like LED lamp which in demand right now because this lamp is bright, light, cheap, and did not emmit heat. Not only lamp, technology also make advancement in material product. May type of material can be choosen to make desain more vibrant. This advancement make desain that not possible to be made previouslyy to be possible now.  Because of that right now, lamp not only be use for lighting but also for decorative purpose.

Abstract

The interior design of Librarica (Cafe & Bar) serves as an interior medium that combines a cafe, lounge, and bar with a library and provides a variety of books. This café & bar with library concept is made as a place to relax and to gather with each other while reading books and eating great foods, which capable of attracting a greater public interest especially from young generation to read books and re-visit the cafe. Considering the huge number of people who come to a cafe to eat, relax, and communicate with their friends, this library cafe would be a very suitable choice for people to try. By facilitating the customer activities in order to give a relaxing and comforting environment to the people, the supporting rooms that will be used by the customer shall be designed or adjusted to the behavior of people around. Therefore, this cafe is able to accommodate the people’s activities which suit their behavior so that the convenience, safety, and the relaxing state can be achieved in this library cafe. So, with the effort of making this representative interior design concept, it is expected that the interest in reading books and the numbers of potential customers of this cafe will increase.

Abstract

Santa Maria De Fatima Church once was a traditional Chinese residence that belonged to a Chinese noble located in Chinatown so this building is still preserves its Chinese style. This research is an interesting object to study because this traditional Chinese residence was refunctioned into a Catholic Church. This research’s aims are to understand the adaptation process that has been occurred between Catholic and Chinese culture in the interior of the church and also to find out how much the adaptation have taken place. This research was done by an observational method by collecting data through literature, interview, observation, and documentation. The results indicate that the adaptation process between Catholic and Chinese have occurred in the church. Catholic elements that have undergone adaptation interior are the building, facade, building organization, partition, candle table, tabernacle table, tabernacle, statues of lion stone, pillar, peony flower, roof consul, and accessories. Chinese elements that have undergone adaptation are layout and sedilia. The elements that adapt to each other on the church are spatial elements, transition elements, altar table, pulpit, lighting, meandering carvings, and wall illustrations. While the elements that aren’t adapt on the church are building directions, congregations’ bench, acolytes’ chair, and holy lamp.

Abstract

Salon is a place that is needed by the whole society, ranging from children, teenagers, to adults. Salon is used to perform body treatments and beautification that will make someone appear more confident. In this case, salon visitors can treat and beautify their body from head to toe with various treatments offered by each salon.In general, salon provides various facilities, such as hairdressing, makeup, facial, embroidery eyebrows, manicure pedicure, and others. However, it is rare to find a salon that can provide all the treatments and facilities completely in one place. Sometimes some salons provide only a few treatments because of the limited space owned by the salon. This will affect the consumer's interest to visit the salon because the provided care is incomplete and they will look for other salons to meet their care.Beauty Lounge Salon interior design aims to provide a place that has complete body care and supporting facilities so that customers can use their time efficiently to treat their body. The New Born Beauty design concept which means "reborn beauty" from Lotus as the basic idea creates a fresh, relaxing and comfortable atmosphere.

Abstract

Listening to music is a form of entertainment that can be enjoyed whenever and wherever using various means, one of which is vinyl record. In comparison to other musical medias, vinyl record comes with a multitude of benefits, such as clarity and sound precision, so nowadays vinyl records are gaining more attentions from the mass, both local and international. However, there has yet to exist a proper vinyl record store in Indonesia. In addition to music, film and cafe are another popular example of entertainments that can easily be found in Jakarta. Nonetheless, cinemas dedicated to old movies as well as cafes with old style interior that accompanied by music played directly from vinyl records are still hard to find, if not impossible. With that in mind, a cafe, record store, and mini cinema is designed in order to provide the necessary facility that could embrace the said demands. The design takes inspiration from the industrial and retro style, with an eco interior (refunction) approach using container, wood pallets, used wood crate that is still in good condition as a few elements of the interior. This combination are expected to produce a unique and exquisite design.

Abstract

Bazar and temporary market is an event that currently booming in Surabaya. This event is used by tenants to introduce their new brands or products. Usualy this event is held for about 3 days and lately it is held more frequently, so tenants need furniture which are easy to carry and moved. Seeing this problem, appeared an idea about a set of furniture whose size is able to be reduced so that it will be easy to move. Not only that, the furniture should also be able to meet the needs of a tenant who has not been fulfilled yet. Thus, the idea of a practical furniture can certainly help or ease the burden on the tenants when they do loading dock and also meet the needs of tenants when the event bazaar and the temporary market held.In this design process, used Bryan Lawson’s methods, starting from the first stage of insight to the verification stage. After the initial stages have taken place, came to the conceptual stage. Folding furniture with moveable concept has chosen into a solution for the problem analysis. The moveable concept applied to the folding furniture set that consists display racks, tables, and chairs, which are easy to carry and moved. The furniture set is not only easy to moved when they do loading dock, but also when they carry its to the events’ place. In addition, these folding furniture sets also provide more facilities for tenants, such as the existence of a poster and brochure’s place, as well as storage for storing personal items belonging to the tenant. With the advantages given to this folding furniture, it will provide some benefits for the tenant, such as cost-effective, time saving, as well as the practicality of a furniture that is easy open and fold without the use of additional tools.

Abstract

Surabaya is a city with a lot of active population ranging from children, adolescents, to adults. Of course the daily activities are so busy that it is almost impossible to spend time because of the busyness of each. Side effects are obtained when continuous life pattern like that is susceptible to disease, bone loss, and stiff muscles. For that it is necessary a facility that can support so that all the bad impact can be prevented. Thus emerges an idea and design that can accommodate all that. In the design of this gym there are enough facilities to meet the needs of the sport.
