Abstract

Popularity of cupcake in Indonesia starts from Bandung and endemic to other major cities. House Of Cupcake is a form of reaction to respond to these trends in Surabaya. House Of Cupcake is a place that is commercial, entertainment and education, aiming to make the cupcake as the cake is easy to obtain but still unique, as well as accommodate the cupcake connoisseurs and customers in particular in the city of Surabaya, which is one of the major cities in Indonesia. Design method using the approach of Michael J. French, where the results of the initial stages of the design will be used in the next stages, but can occur reciprocal to produce an appropriate design. Raised the concept is stylish homey, where the interior is to be created but the atmosphere of the house gets a touch of style commercial. This concept is applied in interior and decorative elements. Stylish homey is manifested through the choice of colors and a homey atmosphere raises the appropriate material.

Abstract

Indoor Air Quality (IAQ) is an aspect that greatly affects the health and comfort of room users. Indoor Air Quality (IAQ) is influenced by physical factors (temperature, air humidity and air velocity) and chemical factors in the form of substances such as HCHO and TVOC in the air. Indoor Air Quality (IAQ) has actually been applied since a long time ago in traditional buildings such as Baileo . The study used a comparative quantitative method on Baileo in the mountainous area with the aim of reviewing and comparing Indoor Air Quality (IAQ) on Baileo and building formations to materials used as references in future designs. Indoor Air Quality (IAQ) in mountain Baileo in West Seram is good where temperature, air humidity, air velocity and TVOC and HCHO substances in the room do not exceed the threshold value (NAB) which adversely affects the health and safety of room users.

Abstract

The emergence of theater community and  arts institution in Indonesia proved that the development of the art of drama/theater is growing. The community is able to deliver good performances, mature and  both visually. This research to determine the set of stage elements that are applied to the staging platform "Bunga Rumah Makan" and "Operasi" uses descriptive qualitative method with an empirical approach (Moleong, 2007, p11). The research object is Scenery Realist Theater performances on building Sawunggaling. With field studies, collecting data library research, interviews and questionnaires in 2 cases realist theater in Sawunggaling Shows Building, State University of Surabaya.     This analysis technique used for this study conducted randomly or random sample. (Arikunto, 1983, p.93). Determination of sampling, giving questionnaires to a random audience with a number of 30 pieces each staging.The result showed, that 2 scenery realist theater at the stage University of Surabaya included in either category, it appears from the appreciation of the audience were positive and scenery standards that apply.Scenery realist theater can besaid to be ideal.Conclusions on the analysis of a set of elements of this stage is skeneri on both the interior staging interesting, balanced, unified and attractive design. Obtained lighting gives the impression of a warm, comfortable, energetic and intimate. While supplies (interior elements and aesthetic elements) forming an interior composition skeneri good, so it feels unity with the surrounding atmosphere.

Abstract

Candy and chocolate are well- known snack by pople. Because its taste and sweetnes, candy and chocolate is often used as a snack in between meals. Visualization of shape, color, and attractive packaging also be an attraction of sweets and chocolate to be consumed. One brand that is quite popular chocolate candy is M&M's. M&M's also have different types of milk sweets and also the preferred brand character. M & M's outlets are spread throughout the country like London, U.S, Las Vegas, and many other countries. However Outlet M&M's are still not in Indonesia today. Therefore, the design of the M&M's outlet is required to provide satisfaction for candy and chocolate lovers, and can also provide an alternative for family entertainment venues in addition to the mall.

Abstract

Piazza Italia and Brandi Pizzeria are two of the Specialities Restaurants in Surabaya City, Eastern Java. Piazza Italia and Brandi Pizzeria are two restaurants that particularly serve Italian cuisine with Italian thematic interior design that fits the serving system. The goal of the research is to identify the characteristic of the interior that is applied to the restaurants. Theoretically, this research should be a useful addition to interior academic in terms of standards of interior characteristic in Italian restaurants and how to evaluate them. The atmosphere of the restaurant is built by its aesthetic aspects that are organized visually by means of layout, room-forming elements, room-transition elements, room-filling elements, decorative elements, and lighting systems. This aesthetic aspect is one unity of building and room that is analyzed using four basic theory by Francis D.K. Ching, i.e. functionality, shape, technical, and room theory. On the other hand, cuisine and serving system are analyzed using theories from Soekresno and Marsum. Methods of research used are descriptive analysis to parse the field data that helps the data analysis. The result of the research shows that the interior design application of both restaurants are different in terms of layout composition. Piazza Italia gives a familiar, romantic, and intimate atmosphere by Ala Carte table layout with Fine Dining concept, while Brandi Pizzeria gives the familiar, spacious, and laid-back atmosphere with casual table layout. Big conclusion acquired from this research is that the interior design applied in both Italian restaurant fits the standard of Specialities Restaurant that has thematic interior atmosphere that is adapted to the local condition, thus supporting the serving system of the restaurant. This can keep the quality of both restaurants to satisfy the needs of customers when enjoying the food and atmosphere of the interior applied in the restaurant.

Abstract

Bali is an island which always be a tourist destination, both local tourists and foreign tourists. It makes the property entrepreneur compete to build the functional and aesthetic architecture interior, start from nature tourism, culinary tourism, up to shopping tourism. Many attractions in Bali make the most of Bali’s population choose livelihoods related to the world of tourism. For the people of Indonesia and overseas, saturated daily routines at their origin place make them yearn to relax and restore the body's vitality. It makes the fitness center and body treatments like spa is many emerging, such as Sanctuary Spa & Relaxation Centre in Surabaya.                In this era, woman spa design development grows rapidly including in Bali. But, in the midst of these developments, there are many spa places encountered by incorporating elements of foreign culture and use imported products. It makes local culture and domestic products are less widely known. Therefore is necessary a new spa design like Sanctuary Spa & Relaxation Centre in Bali so the local culture and domestic products can be applied and be able to compete in the global marketplace.

Abstract

Sports boxing in Surabaya branch in reality do not have adequate space and facilities, ranging from the standard and inadequate led to the growth of boxing underdeveloped and young seedlings that have no boxing talent can develop their potential well. Through interior design that implements the concept of "Transformation of young spirit" is expected to evoke the spirit of his special community youth so interested to practice the sport of boxing and also in the presence of adequate facilities can spur so excited to practice in this boxing gym.The concept of "Transformation of young spirit" uses the style of urban design. The concept of "Transformation" itself was taken because he wanted to show the impression of the atmosphere of the room at Edy Pirih original boxing camp so at the lobby using bricks that are colored white paint coupled with wall hangings such as poster art and occurs the change from the original space into a lobby that is both modern in another room of her, while the "young spirit" is a form of style urban design application that is composed of gravity, murals, and poster art which refers to the young style.

The interior design of this terminal will become a place for transportation facilities devoted to the residents who want to take advantage of cruise tourism. This project is planned as a response to the high demand of international and local tourists, which made Bali as a major tourist spot with beautiful beaches and seascape, as well as business purpose for the investor. Abstract

Magelang is a small town in Central Java which rich in cultural heritage, one of them is colonial buildings. In the early XIX century, Ko Som Ien was a landlord and Ko Kwat Ie was an owner of a cigar factory in Magelang. Their family residentials are exist until now and still keep their originality. This research paper aims to determine the effect of the colonial-style in Ko Som Ien and Ko Kwat Ie Family Residential's Interior at Magelang, using qualitative descriptive research method. The object of the research focused on aspects of the form in which the scope of the research are organization of space, interior structural elements, and transitional elements. The results showed that Ko Som Ien and Ko Kwat Ie Family Residential's Interior at Magelang has influences from more than one Colonial style.

Abstract

The fashion world is now experiencing rapid development, especially in Indonesia, because fashion is the part that cannot be separated from people’s appearance and everyday style, and also as a communication tool to state their identity. The development of fashion world also affects the emergence of manufacturers offering goods that have been designed to attract the attention of consumers to meet their fashion needs and be more up to date. Fashion needs they buy and also collect make the role of furniture very much needed to become a storage container at home. Therefore in this design multifunctional wardrobe are designed not only to store clothes, but also other items such as shoes, hats, bags, and other accessories based on collected data on user needs and activities while in a storage cabinet, so that the designed cabinets can store many items in the same place without having to be placed separately and also make user activities easier when selecting the items to be used.
