Abstract

Jember is a regency that have a lot of tourism objects and culture that needs to be introduced through Indonesia. Rembangan is one of potential tourism object that needs to be managed. This Unique Dutch Heritage Architecture and Interior  Building is historical. Based on research, Rembangan has been experienced some renovation for a few times, but Rembangan itself had not has a fixed form of building. Jember is famous with a fertile soil and abundant agriculture which becomes one of appeal tourism attraction. The people’s modern lifestyle has also required a changing of the activities pattern and interior needs, which caused there is a needs of facility replenishment that gives comfort and gratification. The facility will not only focus on its function but also from the aesthetic and culture application. The coherency of the function, aesthetic and culture will create an appropriate living environment. The concept application “Luxury in Farming” that gives luxury and farming environment which also the constitute of the soul of the Jember resident to applied in a space create a Rembangan tourism object will be the best hostelry in Jember town.

Abstract

Hydrotherapy and physiotherapy are therapies that are truly required by the society, particularly those who are experiencing health problems. However, in Surabaya, the places that can accommodate such therapies are still insignificant. Hydrotherapy and physiotherapy can help people to move their body parts and perform their daily activities optimally. Activities involving hydrotherapy and physiotherapy require a conducive environment with a spatial design that support therapists in performing their therapeutic skills. The design of these spaces also need to be attractive in terms of aesthetics while also providing a sense of comfort for their users. This thesis aims to design the interior of a hydrotherapy and physiotherapy center in order to assist the society in performing their daily activities. It is designed with complete facilities consisting of medical rehabilitation spaces involving hydrotherapy and physiotherapy and providing doctors to support the therapeutic processes. The project uses the comparative design methodology, involving similar case studies and exploration so that the final design may articulate the facilities that are needed by the users according the design standards of places that accommodate hydrotherapy and physiotherapy.

Abstract

Surabaya City is one of big metropolitan city in Indonesia that known as Hero City because of its historical battle value at the past that give a big role to the independence of Indonesia. However, there are few places that can attract people to appreciate the struggle of the past generation that fought for Indonesia’s freedom. As the city grows, so many shopping centers built as recreation center and the impact is that historical recreation is not attractive for local people anymore. With designing a recreation place about Surabaya in past time by using diorama concept that show the old town of Surabaya in the colonial age and adapt people’s modern lifestyle nowadays, the designer hope that the people, especially in Surabaya City, will appreciate more and have a good knowledge about history of Surabaya City and be proud to our heroes in this city.

Abstract

Cafe & Lounge as a place to gather together, enjoy eating and drinking also doing a variety of activities become an essential place in the life of today's society. Relish Cafe & Lounge is designed to be a public place that can accommodate the community to meet the need for socializing, a comfortable place to enjoy food and beverage offerings, and for hobby activities such as reading books, events photography, as well as to do the job like a business agreement or deal and so on. Attractive design, capable of attracting visitors to come in, therefore therefore, the modern gothic style design chosen because it has elements of a timeless classic but still keep up with the times. The concept offered is Rose Garden, which has meaning beauty, timeless, balance, secret, mysterious and romantic feel also many variations or options that are offered to visitors. Concept and design style is applied both in the use of chandeliers for lighting, wallpaper with roses pattern, checkerboard pattern and rose motifs on the floor, window and wall framelis pointed arch shaped, carved gothic oak leaf foliage, red, purple, black , and a cream colors is applied to the furniture, also  other decorative elements in the interior and the interior design of the Relish Cafe & Lounge in order to attract customers to come in and enjoy the facilities inside.

Abstract

Playground is a useful place for children to explore, play and spend time with their friends. Every playground has a character and purpose, which causes every playgrounds have different sensations. Therefore, the design of the playground itself must have an exciting and educational activity, especially for early childhood. The role of a game is very important for children's intelligence from motoric, cognitive, and affective aspects. At early age the physical growth and development of the child's brain is very rapid. So playing and learning is an activity that deserves to be created into an area or building.

Abstract

This design would make a hospital’s lobby interior that not only provide health services, but also make patients feel comfortable by giving some facilities. Facilities to be added to the hospital’s lobby are interior design and furnitures ambience, the furnitures are made to facilitate the disabled as well, smart hospital system, as well as a good circulation system for the smooth operation of the lobby. The addition of a better atmosphere at the hospital can provide an increement of hope in patient’s healing process. In addition, the smart hospital system and a good circulation system can support the activities that occur in the hospital’s lobby.

Many of the people of Indonesia who have "fever" K-pop, they are made up of mostly young women. In Surabaya alone, many in dirikannya fanclub for their respective idols, like ELF surabaya, surabaya Sone, Beauty, and so on. Abstract

Global warming is one of thephenomenon forms due today environmental problems,so that green design as an answer to respond environmental issues and human inside. Embodiment of green design into a building are important, but people still lack awareness of it. Therefore, we need a place that is environmentally friendly, educating, and can transmit eco friendly lifestyle for the public.This interior design implementing green design aspects with the facilities such as galleries, workshop, consultation area, office, cashier, and receptionist with the application of nature as the conceptthat has the character which is purity, diversity, dynamic, and openness. Green design aspects with the concept of nature is applied to the layout arrangement, natural colors, diversity of shapes for the furniture and elements of interior, eco friendly materials, lighting, and energy efficiency ventilation. Design method used is analysis method. Through this design,can provide a Green Product Centre interior designthat environmentally friendly, educating, and can improve the eco friendly lifestyle for the whole community.

Abstract

Surabaya is the second largest city in Indonesia right after Jakarta, the capital. It has a myriad of achievements, one of which is the implementation of their open government system. The interior design of planning gallery of Surabaya is a response to that Open Government award from Singapore magazine by enhancing the Open Government system. Surabaya is yet to have a place where people can get information on city planning, which could create a transparency between the people and the government. The gallery could also be an educational center where people can participate and keep track of the city’s development. The methods used in the design is design thinking, consisting of seven steps: sense intent, know context, know people, frame insight, explore concepts, frame solutions, dan realize offering. The result is a gallery with the concept of a time capsule that holds the city’s past and future. The design has a galery with an exhibition hall, a theater, a communal room, maquette area, cafe, an aspiration room, and consultation area. At the exhibition hall, people can get information on Surabaya’s present, like facts & challenges that the city is currently facing, and on Surabaya’s future where people can contribute to the city’s development. This gallery could be a space where the people can learn, address their aspiration, and discuss the development of Surabaya.

Abstract

Ganefo Hotel was originally a residence of an ex- lieutenant of China who was assigned by the Dutch to oversee the activities of the local population. Although at this time the building has functioned as a hotel, the styles of Dutch Colonial and Chinese are applied to the building is still maintained until now. The combination of styles in this hotel makes it an interesting object to be researched. This study aims to analyze the Dutch Colonial and Chinese styles which still exist in this building. The method used in this study is descriptive qualitative method. The result demonstrates the application of Dutch Colonial design styles and China on the interior Ganefo Hotel Surabaya which is seen on the building orientation, layout, organization of space, space-forming elements, transition elements, furniture, and decorative elements.
