This research has benefits because it can provide a critical picture and analysis of organizational change in terms of organizational communication dynamics in research institutions. This research method uses a qualitative phenomenological approach to capture the image meaning of a series of events in the process of organizational change in research institutions from the aspect of organizational communication. The phenomenon of organizational change began with various rejections from various levels of employees both researchers and non-researchers who demanded openness and certainty and maintain the honor of the institution as a research institution. The demand for information disclosure is a reflection of the inability of the organization's management to communicate the planned change strategy to cause resistance to the process.

Abstract

Hydroponics is a technique of cultivation that uses water and without soil. The technique emphasizes meeting the nutritional needs of plants. Hydroponic plants need less water than plants that use soil media. The purpose of this study is the creation of a monitoring system to control room temperature and hydroponic water plant nutrition. The method used is web-based system design. The results of the study show that with a web-based room temperature and water nutrition monitoring system, room temperature and water nutrition of the hydroponic plant can be controlled anytime and anywhere. Also, test factors in functional testing of systems using black-box show valid results. Furthermore, based on the implementation test conducted to determine the performance of the monitoring system that has been made, 87.5% of 35 respondents rated it good, 9% thought it was quite good, and 3.5% thought it was not good.

Abstract

The growth of Wireless Fidelity (WiFi) technology is so rapid and popular. The technology most widely used for WiFi services is the IEEE 802.11 family of standards. To support the Internet of Things (IoT) era, 802.11ah standard technology has developed, and the standard is intended to provide a low-cost mode of operation, with a wider coverage area, and can support thousands of devices per cell. This paper discusses IEEE 802.11ah Standard Network Planning for the Internet of Things Application (Case Study: Smart Meter Using WiFi.id Network in Bandung), to improve network quality in terms of coverage and capacity to improve the efficiency of the WiFi network and so that it can supports the Internet of Things (IoT) service. Network planning using 802.11ah for the internet of things application with a smart meter case study using the WiFi.id network has been successfully carried out. To cover the entire area of Bandung, 23 sites are required. In the capacity, the Tx slots needed to cover possible smart meters for each site are only 9 tx slots out of a total of 100 tx slots.

Abstract

This study discusses the framing conducted by detik.com and reuters.com on the issue of the 2019 Papua riots. It is motivated by the tendency of the different news angles from each of these both media. It uses a qualitative method using Robert Entman's media framing theory which divides framing into two large dimensions: the selection of issues and the highlighting of certain aspects of the issue. Studies on two online medias: detik.com and reuters.com are intended to provide a comparison of the ideology between the domestic and foreign media in framing the issues of riots that are in direct dealing with the government. The analysis shows that detik.com conducted an issue selection by describing the riots in Papua as a security issue. This media highlighted aspects of the Indonesian government's role in overcoming the riots. On the other hand, reuters.com described it as a social issue by highlighting aspects of discrimination and violence by the Indonesian government in overcoming the riots.
