Abstract

Report Cards in Yadika 2 high school were prepared by homeroom teacher. Report card grades are the grade accumulated in each subject provided by each subject teacher. The report card preparation was done manually and not well documented in a system. The preparation required a relatively long time and held the risks of document loss or damage. The grading system at SMA Yadika was designed to anticipate these risks. The objective of this system was to facilitate homeroom teachers to prepare the report cards and to compile students grades in a system. The time required to prepare the report cards was reduced and the students scores were well documented. THe system design used survey research methodology, UML, usecase diagram and activity diagram. Students grades that had been inputted were stored in a database accesible to teacher, homeroom teachers, students, and administrator. Keyword: Grades, Students, Report Card

Abstract

Knowledge sharing activity has been considered as the key activity in knowledge management. This study aims at exploring and conceptualizing knowledge sharing process and behaviors of the members of Warung Tegal (Warteg) business supply chain network. The study specifically examines the role of Warteg in the knowledge sharing process. Using informal interviews to five selected Warteg owners, value chain, supply chain network, and knowledge sharing process are explored. Knowledge sharing behavior among the actors in the network is then analyzed. The study found that most of the Warteg owners chose similar source of suppliers which shared similar certain knowledge to the Warteg owners. Suppliers play a significant role in owners’ decision making. The difference lies on the decisions taken by owners after knowledge have been transferred. Keywords: knowledge sharing, supply chain, warteg, decision making

Abstract

The implementation of planned and preventative maintenance is essential to the operation of aircraft engines so that failures can be prevented. The case study in PT XYZ reveals that the engine starter generator has an important function for the activation during the operation. The short brush component has the highest damage frequency among other components in the starter generator (approximately 63.16%). The Mann test results claimed that the failure of short brush was Weibull distributed with MTTF value of  329.674. In order to maintain the reliability of the machine, it is suggested that  performing routine maintenance and replacing critical components prior to the MTTF should be done. Spare parts need to be prepared with an appropriate standard of care. Keywords:  predictive maintenance, realiability engineering, MTTF

Abstract

Transactions over the internet are uncontrolled both from the legal clarity and trade tax aspects. The increasing number of deception and fraud cases emphasizes the importance of a system or a governing body to manage online trade. This system or body should issue permits for or approve the legitimacy of commercial websites. The online transactions are expected to be better organized and legally existed. The government can also apply trade tax for online transactions. The website legality will increase customers’ confidence to do online transactions, reduce the crime rate, and increase the country’s income through online trade tax.  Keywords:  legality, legality of commercial website, EC-trust

Abstract

The library is an institution that collects printed and recorded knowledge and manage them in a special way in order to meet the intellectual needs of its users through a variety of modes in the interaction of knowledge. Currently, many users of Ukrida‘s library said that Ukrida‘s library services can not meet their expectations. The objective of this study is improving the Ukrida‘s library services by using the Servqual and Quality Function Deployment methods. The results show that tangible and reliability dimention have the biggest gap and the variables that need to improve are depanding on others such as the number of locker and internet (multimedia) facilities. Based on House of Quality results, the proposed improvement is checking the condition of the books as well as providing critique and suggestion boxes. Keyword: Servqual, Quality Function Deployment, House of Quality

Abstract

IT governance describes about how IT can assist organizations to pursue and fullfill their business strategies . This paper discuss es IT governance in general based on the literature study, how it can help the top management to manage their IT dan policies that conform to the ir business strategies. The findings suggest that IT is expensive, leading to questions concerning the benefits of IT investment and the importance of IT in business context.
