Abstract

Abstract : Nerve Mobilization, Myofacial Release, Carpal Tunnel Syndrome. Carpal tunnel syndrome (CTS) is defined with signs and symptoms resulting from compression of the median nerve at the wrist. CTS lead to discomfort and pain, limited daily activities, sleep deprivation and the inability to work. Nerve mobilization is manipulative technique in which the nerve tissue is moved and stretched out both motions relative to the surrounding (interface mechanical) or with the development of tension. Myofascial Release (MFR) refers to massage techniques, instructions for stretching the fascia and releasing bonds between fascia and integument, muscles, bone, with the aim to relieve pain, increase range of motion and balance the body. Some research concluded the difference in the length of time the treatment is with a shorter time can produce significant pain reduction. The aim of this study was to determine the effect of the difference between the provision of nerve mobilization and myofacial release to the reduction of pain in patients with carpal tunnel syndrome. This research is a quasi experimental study with two group pre test and post test control design. The subjects were all patients diagnosed with carpal tunnel syndrome who came to the clinic physiotherapy Dr. Moewardi Surakarta hospital who met the inclusion criteria, exclusion and drop out. Number of research subjects in group I, amounting to 8 people and group II amounted to 7 people. Group I was treated nerve mobilization and group II were treated Myofacial release. Treatment was given 2 times per week for 3 weeks. Results: (1) mobilization of the nerve may reduce pain in patients with CTS (p = 0.012), (2) MFR can reduce a patient's pain CTS (p = 0.018), (3) there is no difference between mobilization nerves and MFR to reduce pain CTS patients (p= 0.189).

Abstract

Abstract : Spray Gels, Sunscreens, Physical Stability, Rhizome Temugiring And Cortex Kayumanis. Excessive sun exposure can harm human skin, for skin damage can occur after exposure, namely in the form of burning or skin Erythema which is the onset of symptoms of degradation of cells and tissues. Sunscreen preparations have benefits to protect skin from exposure to ultraviolet rays and also contains antioxidants. Cinnamon (Cinnamomum burmanni Nees.) that has the activity of sunscreen, because it contains the compound sinamaldehid in addition also have activity as antioxidant. Rhizome temugiring (Curcuma Heyneana Val.) contain a flavanoid with fairly high antioxidant activity. Preparation of the gel has a number of advantages including not sticky and gels have a steady flow of tiksotropik and pseudoplastik i.e. solid gel when it is stored and will soon melt away when beaten. Spray technique is one of the new material has advantages which allow preparations sprayed with the dispersed evenly without needing to contact directly to flatten. Base that is often used in the making of gel karbopol and HPMC, among others. This type of Research design is a True Experiment. The formula that is used, there are three types with a combination of karbopol and HPMC. The research of spray gel extract kayumanis and extract temugiring on physical organoleptic stability Formula I red the typical smell of condensed form, kayumanis, part or a little murky, there are some air bubbles and cool on the skin when sprayed. Formula II, color of red brick the distinctive aroma preparations kayumanis, condensed form, no turbid and slightly cold when air bubbles, didispersikan to the skin; Test the viscosity Formula I 4000mPas, Formula II 1000 mPas, Formula III 1500mPas; Power test scatterplot latched into a Formula I attached did not drip to the formulation II is slightly attached and dripping, Formula III wasn't too attached to or flow; Test the spray pattern, the Formula I and II pattern that is formed is not round spread, Formula III pattern formed round spread; Its homogeneity test Formulation I, II, and III there are no particles; Irritation test Formulation I, II, and III the absence of symptoms of irritation. Abstract

Abstract : Extra Virgin Olive Oil, Mangosteen Peel Extract, Serum Lipid Levels. Cardiovascular disease was the number one cause of death, risk factors of cardiovascular disease were divided into the risk factors that can’t be modified and the factors that can be modified. Some of the plants that have therapeutic benefit are olive oil and mangosteen peel extract. Olive oil is a useful food because of its content is rich in monounsaturated fatty acids (MUFA). Mangosteen peel extract has properties as antilipemic that can increase the activity of Peroxisome proliferator-Activated Receptors (PPAR). This research had a purpose to examine the effectiveness between Extra Virgin Olive Oil and the mangosteen peel extract against cholesterol levels. The methode of this research was laboratory experimental with post test only control group design. Thirty eight male wistar rats were divided into four groups. The negative control (K1) was fed with standard food for 38 days. The positive control (K2) was fed with high fat food for 38 days. The first treatment group (P1) was fed with high fat food for 38 days then it was fed with standard food and Extra Virgin Olive Oil 0,5 gr/day for 28 days. The second treatment group (P2) was fed with high fat food for 38 days then it was fed with standard food and mangosteen peel extract 0,0125 gr/days for 28 days. Afterwards, all of the groups total cholesterol and trigliserida were examined. The data analysis used One Way Anova then it tested by post-hok (p > 0,005). The result for K2 were 336,9 ± 43,76 trigliserida and 263,3 ± 12,9 total cholesterol, K1 were 138,2 ±12,7 trigliserida and 76,3 ± 8,2 total cholesterol, P1 were 325,02 ± 38,2 trigliserida and 73,6 ± 17,8 total cholesterol, P2 were 328 ± 48,14 trigliserida and 66, 5 ± 13,7 total cholesterol. The analysis result between positive control group with Extra Virgin Olive Oil and the mangosteen peel extract for total cholesterol was p < 0,05 while for trigliserida was p > 0,05. The ratio Extra Virgin Olive Oil and the mangosteen peel extract was p > 0,05. Extra Virgin Olive Oil and the mangosteen peel extract has the same effectiveness to reduce cholesterol on a male wistar rats that were induced by hyperlipidemia.

Abstract

Abstract : Sustained Maximal Inspiration, Pursed Lip Breathing, Shortness Of Breath. Currently lung disease is a major cause of chronic morbidity and mortality worldwide, many people suffer from this disease for many years and die prematurely due to unhealthy lifestyles such as smoking and work environments that are exposed to much air pollution due to under-employed workers personal protector. One sign of lung disease is airway obstruction in nonreversible or partial reversible airway. One result of lung disease is a lack of respiratory muscle strength resulting in complaints of shortness of breath. Disturbances or complaints of breathlessness can occur towards inspiration or expiration. There is a theory of the effect of breathing exercises on respiratory muscle enhancement in people with shortness of breath. In this study was conducted with the aim to prove the provision of Sustained maximal inspiration (SMI) and pursed lip breathing (PLB) to increase respiratory muscle strength in patients with shortness of breath. This research uses true experimental research with pre-test and post-test design. The study was conducted at the physiotherapy laboratory located in Tabanan, Badung and Denpasar with a sample of 17 patients who experienced complaints of shortness of breath. The number of research subjects was grouped randomly in one group. In this study the group was given treatment as much as 1 time a week and performed for 24 weeks. The expected result of this study was to reduce complaints of shortness of breath without the use of medicines from doctors in cases of cardio respiration

Abstract

Background: Acupuncture is a type of advanced health service which is covered by PT. Askes. Since BPJS Kesehatan applied, acupuncture is not covered by National Health Insurance (JKN) program. BPJS Kesehatan refers to Clause 25 verse (1) letter K of Presidential Regulation No.19 of 2016 concerning Second Amendment of Presidential Regulation No.12 of 2013 concerning Health Insurance. The provisions of the Minister of Health Regulation No.28 of 2014 concerning Guidelines for Implementing National Health Insurance are different from Presidential Regulations on Health Insurance which states that medical acupuncture is covered by JKN. BPJS Kesehatan uses lex superior derogate legi inferior, therefore it does not cover acupuncture in the implementation of the JKN program. This study was a normative study with a statute approach and a conceptual approach. Method: The study showed that the issue of Law No.36 of 2014 concerning Health Practitioner gives legitimacy to acupuncture in Indonesia. The Law of Health Practitioner categorizes acupuncture into physical therapy and separates it from traditional medicine. Results: The provisions in implementing regulations of BPJS Law have not referred to the position of acupuncture in Indonesia and still categorize acupuncture as complementary, alternative and traditional medicines. The settlement of acupuncture regulations disharmony in the JKN program using lex superior principle has not been sufficient because it has not been able to provide legal certainty and legal protection. Conclusion: Regulatory reformation of acupuncture in Indonesia is urgently required, especially in the JKN program, so the implementation of the legal position of acupuncture that is guided by the Law of Health Practitioner can be implemented effectively and efficiently.
