Abstract

Background: Pre school children need adequate nutrition for growth and development, as one of the most vulnerable groups is primarily anemia. Nutritional disorders of anemia can be caused by various factors, one of which is a diet (amount, frequency and variety ) that does not meet the balance. Objective to analyze The Effect of Diet on Hemoglobin Levels In Pre-School children. Methods: Cross-sectional study was conducted on 28 chlidren. Sampling is done by Purposive Sampling technique. Data collect from food Record and misson Hb. Data analyze used Pearson product moment correlation test and Multiple Regression Analysis. Results: The results of this study obtained the average hemoglobin level of children is 10.18 (0.99). The results of the test on energy intake (ρ = 0.820), iron intake (ρ = 0.300), vitamin C intake (ρ = 0.300) which states no significant relationship with hemoglobin levels. Protein intake (ρ = 0,007), variation (ρ = 0,000), and frequency (ρ = -0,035) have significant relationship with hemoglobin level. Multivariate analysis of dietary variations significantly influenced hemoglobin levels in pre-school children (ρ = 0.000, r = 0.0636; R2 = 0.405). Conclusions: That daily intake, iron intake and vitamin C alone have no effect on hemoglobin, but it is necessary to increase protein intake, eating frequency setting especially variation in food menu. Required intervention strategies to increase intake, selection of foodstuffs, processing, presentation to children for iron absorption and control of anemia can be solved.

Abstract

Background: The physical condition of patients with transtibial amputations affects the fulfillment of activity of daily living. Transtibial Prosthesis is used to increase the patient's activity abilities. This research is to find the effect of using transtibial prostheses on the activity of daily living. This study aims to determine the effect of the use of transtibial prostheses on the activities of daily life. Methods: This research method uses Quasi Experiment in the form of two-group post test only design. The study population was transtbial amputee at PT. Kuspito Prosthetic Orthotics. The sample in this study 40 people, namely 20 people using Transtibial Prosthesis, 20 people using Axial Crutches. The study was conducted at PT. Kuspito Prosthetic Orthotics from April to May 2019. This study used an observation sheet prepared by Kempen, et al (1996), namely The Groningen Activity Restriction Scale. Results: The normality test used is Shapiro Wilk. Mann Whitney test resuls shows an average difference of ADL between users of transtibial prosthesis users (22.40) and axillary crutch users (19.95) with a p value = 0.008 where a p value <0.05. Conclusion: So there is a difference in ADL which is statistically significant in patients using transtibial prosthesis and patients using axillary crutches. Where for transtibial prosthesis users better in ADL than axillary crutch users.

Abstract

Background: Low back pain is a complaint that is often encountered and very disturbing in carrying out daily activities. Myogenic pain is the most common complaint, around 49%.Physiotherapy modalities that can be given are Proprioceptive Neuromuscular Facilitation (rhythmic stabilization and combination of isotonic). Purpose this study to analyze effectivity rhythmic stabilitation exercise and combination of isotonic to decreased pain for myogenic pain. Methods: this research is two groups pre and post test design. Subjects: 30 subject diagnosed with myogenic pain in Dr Moewardi Hospital during the period between 2019 June –Augs. Results: The result of test toward pain effect between pre and post in group one after 3 weeks (6 times of therapy) is p = 0.009 with Wilcoxon test. The result of test toward pain between pre and post in group two is p = 0.001 and the test of pain between group one and group two shows p = 0.051. Conclusion: there is no difference in effect between the group one and group two toward the reduction of pain of patients with myogenic pain so that the results cannot be seen which is more effective.

Abstract

Background: Laboratory of Chemical Engineering Environmental Pollution is one of the laboratories that produce liquid waste. However, during this treatment, liquid waste is only stored in a temporary storage area. It will cause part and quality of wastewater produced. It is necessary to research the design of laboratory-scale sports equipment to minimize pollution due to the accumulation of wastewater in conditions without maintenance. Methods: in its design, this tool applied three methods of physical, chemical and biological. This tool will be applied in management using coagulation, electrocoagulation, adsorption, and phytoremediation technologies. Results: This tool can work optimally with an initial capacity of 45 Liters. The parameters tested were pH, TDS, Total Hardness and Lead. The test is carried out to find out the rate of decrease of parameters in each process and the decrease parameter. Conclusion: After testing, it was proven that the biggest decrease in the adsorption process and the result of the calculation of the biggest decrease in TDS was 72.64%. The existence of this tool is expected to overcome the presence of accumulation of liquid waste in the laboratory so that no environmental pollution occurs.

Abstract

Background: Interprofessional education (IPE) is important to create effective interprofessional collaboration also improve quality of health care. Student readiness and perception of IPE will influence the implementation of IPE. This study aimed to analyze an overview, factors that influence and obstacles related to students' readiness and perception of the application of IPE in Indonesia. Methods: Literature reviews with multi-step literature searched on IPE from online databases such as ProQuest; ScienceDirect; SpringerLink and Google scholars by applying the inclusion and exclusion criteria. Samples of 8 studies met the criteria and then analyzed for the study. Results: Most of students have a positive perception and readiness for IPE. Factors influencing students' readiness and perception such as motivation; study program options; student cognitive level; culture; initial clinical experience / exposure; IPE experience in the curriculum; and the readiness of lectures. Conclusion: It is necessary to find a solution in anticipating obstacles in encouraging students' readiness and perception of the application of IPE in Indonesia, including unclear role constraints (role blurring) and the stigma of feeling inferior compared to other health professions.

Abstract

Background: Cardiac arrest is the biggest cause of death. The number of patients who survived is low. Data in the UK shows only 7% of patients who survived. The key factor to increase the amount of survival is the quality of cadiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR). CPR that is done manually or by humans tends to be of inferior quality due to fatigue. Mechanical chest compressions use machines and pistons to compress the chest, so that the frequency and depth of chest compression quality for a long time. The purpose of this systematic review is to analyze research evidence of the effect CPR using mechanical chest compressions to survival cardiac arrest. Methods : Systematic review is used to analyze the effectiveness of mechanical chest compressions against cardiac arrest. The article is traced from the data base of science direct, pub med, and EBSCO with the main keywords are mechanical chest compressions and cardiac arrest. Search on google search using the keywords mechanical chest compressions for cardiac arrest. Researchers only take research in the form of randomized controlled trials (RCT), and there are no language restrictions. The interventions carried out were mechanical chest compressions, measured outcomes were survival cardiac arrest, and side effects of the action. The quality of the study was assessed using the critical appaisal skill program. Data was synthesized based on the implementer, the intervention carried out, the blinding process, the results, conclusions and side effects of the action. Results: Findings in the form of 4 articles with high quality. The entire article states there is no difference in survival cardiac arrest between mechanical chest compressions and manual chest compressions. Mechanical chest compressions have more adverse side effects than manual chest compressions. Conclusion: The results of a systematic review show that mechanical chest compressions are no better than manual chest compressions, so they are not recommended for use.
