Abstract

Motivation is an important factor for employee especially for salesman in doing his job productively and qualified. The objective of this research is to find out: (1) How far is the employee’s motivation in his job. (2) How far is the employees’ initial motivation which is already suitable with his interest. The methods used quantitive approch by collecting data with questionaires and interviews. The sampling taken purposively from 10 respondents who are the sales men of 17 sales forces of companis located in Jakarta. The results show that: (1) the employees’ motivation influences significantly to their performance in doing their job. (2) The initial motivation of the employee is needed to help him in doing his job which is suitable with his interest. It is recommended for the recruitment and hiring process to have the potencial candidate who have initial mativation in his job.

Abstract

Leverage ratio is the ratio that indicates the extent to which firms which uses external funds to buy assets to measure the volatility of the stock which is a measure of the uncertainty of stock price movement in the future. The purpose of this study is to analyze the effect of leverage ratio on the volatility of stock on consumer goods industry companies listed in Indonesia Stock Exchange-year period 2004-2008. This research used 19 samples from 33 companies by purposive sampling method, regression analysis with SPSS version 16.00. This study concludes that: (1) the leverage ratio (DER, LT-DER, and DR) has a significant positive and together on the volatility of returns. (2) The decision to invest in Indonesia stock exchange especially in the customer goods industry, in addition to using information leverage ratio of macro factors and other corporate performance must also is analysed.

Abstract

Retirement is a time that naturally would have faced by every employee upon retirement ages limits. For some people. Retirement is regarded as an unpleasant period due to declining income and the loss of its own authority (post-power syndrome). But many people are not yet ready and understand how important it is to prepare earlier to face retirement. The purpose of this paper is to: (1) discuss retirement for employees, (2) the strategies how to prepare in facing retirement. The methods used are examination of the descriptive exploratory approach with library research. It can be concluded that: (1) the existence of the pessimistic assumption about retirement is entering an old age and as asign of someone's been useless and not needed anymore in the world of work because productivity has decreased and the loss of its own authority (post-power syndrome), (2) many employees in Indonesia are not ready mentally and financially to cope with retirement. (3) making the preparation earlier in facing the retirement by is required by each employee for having retirement life which can be calm, comfortable and prosperous phisically and mentally (4) the strategies in preparing retirement among other things: (a) preparing financial planning through the projected savings and investment, or (b) keep the networking (friendship), (c) maintain a healthy life patternsand conduct religious activities.

Abstract

College education providers should improve service quality, so with a good quality of service they can give satisfaction to the customer in this case students. The purpose of this study is to: (1) describe the quality of service and the satisfaction of students of the Polytechnic Campus in East France, (2) analyze the magnitude of influence. service quality, satisfaction of Student interest refer France Polytechnic Campus in Bekasi (Campus The purpose of this study: 1) to describe the quality of service and satisfaction LP3I Polytechnic Campus Student Bekasi. 2). To analyzethe influence of service quality, student satisfaction referring to interest at the Polytechnic Campus Campus LP3I Bekasi, 3). To analyze which factors have a dominant influence on campus interest Politeknik LP3I Jakarta Campus Bekasi. The research method using multiple linear regrersi, kind research using quantitative and qualitative measurement scale with a Likert scale. Polytechnic student population is LP3I Bekasi Jakarta Campus with a sample of 100 questionnaires that can be analyzed further. Analysis methods such as statistic analysis assisted management with SPSS. From the research, the numbers obtained correlation (R) between quality of service (X1), customers at is faction (X2), there ference interest (Y) is equal to 0836. that is, the relationship between the two variables is very strong. The positive correlation indicates the relationship between service quality, student satisfaction with the direction of there ference interest. To determine the influence of service quality, customer satisfaction, then visits his R Square. Figures R Square is also called the coefficient of determination.

Abstract

The quality of products is an important factor that consumers consider in the purchase decision. The Body Shop is a company that provides safe cosmetic products are safe and becomes the pioner of green marketing. The quality of The Body Shop product is relatively different from the other cosmetics. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of product quality perception on purchase decisions of The Body Shop. The sample of this research is that consumers who ever made a purchase of The Body Shop. The sampling area is located in Kelapa Gading from May-June 2013. The sampling used is a nonprobability sampling technique using judgment / purposive sampling technique considering the criteria that have been determined in advance by the researcher. Data were analysed to test each variable and hypothesis testing using the simple regression through 18 SPSS software. The study resulted in the finding that the perceived quality of the product was a good fit with the questions and the consumer would make repeat purchases. The perception of product quality had a significantly positive effect on purchasing decisions. It is recommended that The Body Shop improve the perception of quality as a natural product and maintain the quality of other products.

Abstract

Social security is a critical issue in the economy which functions as earnings substitute for all employees having loss of earnings due to sickness, work-accident, layoff, death and pension. Social security in Malaysia is managed separately in the operation since the first establishment in the 1950s seperate into 4 agencies consisting of employees provident tunds (EPF), social security organization (Socso), pension system for civil employees and armed force’s saving funds (AFSB). The objective of this research is to identify the operation of social security which keeps continued separately between private workers and public employees has reflected any good governance in the protection of working people. The methodology used in this study is descriptive method which focuses on review of ILO, ISSA concept and Malaysian system including the application of 5-principles of Good Corporate Governace GCG for the analysis of social security agencies as whether to be accepted universally in the globalization era. The conclusion of this study is that the operation of social security for the different status of members in Malaysia shall be separated, because of different financial sources between social security programs for private workers and public employees which indicate their different characteristics respectively.

Abstract

Usaha Kecil dan Menengah merupakan unsur pelaksana Pemerintah Daerah Kotamadya di bidang perkoperasian, usaha kecil dan menengah. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh faktor motivasi sebagai faktor penguat (hygiene) dan sebagai faktor pemuas (motivator) terhadap kinerja pegawai Suku Dinas Koperasi, Usaha Kecil dan Menengah Kotamadya Jakarta Timur. Metodologi yang digunakan adalah teknik analysis of variance untuk analiasis data yang membuktikan faktor motivasi pegawai sebagai variabel bebas dan kinerja pegawai sebagai variabel terikat, dan teknik analisis regresi linier sederhana dengan pengujian test untuk mengetahui ada tidaknya pengaruh yang positif dan signifikan. Populasi penelitian adalah seluruh pegawai di lingkungan Suku Dinas Koperasi, Usaha Kecil dan Menengah Kotamadya Jakarta Timur yang berjumlah 31 orang, dan keseluruhannya menjadi sampel. Teknik pengumpulan data, yang bersifat data sekunder dikumpulkan dari data yang ada di Suku Dinas Koperasi, Usaha Kecil dan Menengah Kotamadya Jakarta Timur, data primer digunakan kuesioner. Berdasarkan pengolahan data dengan Program for Windows R.60, 2001 hasil menunjukkan terdapat pengaruh yang positif dan signifikan antara faktor motivasi terhadap kinerja pegawai di lingkungan Suku Dinas Koperasi, Usaha Kecil dan Menengah Kotamadya Jakarta Timur.

Abstract

Lembaga perbankan merupakan instrumen penting bagi pemerintah dalam mengendalikan kebijakan keuangan dan moneter dalam menstabilkan serta meningkatkan pertumbuhan ekonomi. Sebagai perusahaan jasa, bank dituntut semakin profesional, dapat dipercaya dan unggul dalam pelayanan serta dapat mengimbangi perubahan keinginan nasabah secara efektif. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui: (1) pengaruh kualitas pelayanan terhadap kepuasan nasabah Bank BNI,BRI,Bank Mandiri dan BCA di Bekasi, (2) faktor yang paling dominan dari variabel-variabel kualitas pelayanan. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode survei. Teknik pengolahan dan analisis data dengan regresi linier berganda dan analisis uji hipotesis dengan bantuan program statistik SPSS. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) Faktor kualitas pelayanan berpengaruh signifikan terhadap kepuasan nasabah Bank BNI,BRI,Bank Mandiri dan BCA di Bekasi. (2) Lima faktor variabel kualitas pelayanan yaitu Tangibles (bukti fisik), Reliability (kehandalan), Responsiveness (cepat tanggap), Assurance (jaminan), dan Emphaty (empati) secara bersama-sama dan secara parsial berpengaruh signifikan terhadap variabel kepuasan nasabah, dengan faktor yang paling dominan adalah variabel Assurance (jaminan).

Abstract

To increase the productivity of the company, required not only the factor of human resources (HR) who are good and have the ability, but is also influenced by factors such as leadership, compensation and quality of work. The purpose of this research is to know the: (1) the influence of leadership on quality of work and productivity, (2) the influence of compensation to quality of work and productivity, and (3) the influence of the quality of work to productivity. The research conducted at the PT. KMK Global Sports with a total population of 1498 people and the number of samples taken 200 people, chosen by purposive. The processing techniques and data analysis using the Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) software with amos 22.0. The results showed that: (1) influential leadership significantly to quality of work, but the effect was not significant to productivity (2) compensation effect significantly to the quality of work and productivity, (3) the quality of the work of influential significantly to productivity.

Abstract

The implementation of social security in an international perspective has been directed at the social protection systems need to have the coordination of various things, among others: (1) the availability of employment, (2) health care facilities and (3) the role of labor market in the reemployment of employees having layoff to new employment in order to ensure the sustainability of their social security system. The purpose of this research was to compare social security in the us, Korea and China so that it can be taken as an example implementation in Indonesia. The method used is the study of librarianship with a descriptive exploratory approach. The method used is the study of library research with a descriptive exploratory approach. It can be concluded that: (1) conducting of social security in the US., South Korea and China have been well protected with the availability of work and the existence of permanent employment market presence. (2) Conducting SJSN by BPJS in Indonesia is still exclusive, has yet to reach the protection of workers as a whole, because membership of the workers against the labor force is still less than 25%, due to the stakeholders’ intervention.
