Abstract

The religious conflicts seem to correlate strongly with factors of non religion. Religion is usually a factor triggering the riots that preceded the conflict with economics, such as snatching parking lots, the area, and other factors. In other words, a small conflict often happens to be a huge deal. Multicultural education is education which notes the skill and knowledge base for the citizens of the world, it is important for students, penetrating all aspects of the education system, develop the attitudes, knowledge, and skills that enable students working for social justice. Process when a teacher and students together learn the importance of cultural variables for academic success as well as implement science education provides a critical attention to the social sciences and to help students to develop skills. Multicultural education is very important to minimize and prevent the occurrence of conflicts in some regions. Through education-based, multicultural attitudes and mindsets (the thinking) students will be more open to understand and appreciate diversity. In addition, the multicultural education are also useful for establishing ethnic diversity, race, religion, and culture (promoting diversity values). A key aspect in implementing multicultural education in schools is the absence of a policy that inhibits tolerance, including the absence of affront to race, ethnicity, and gender, cultivate sensitivity to against cultural differences.

Abstract

Gender equality study is the study that will continously be discussed in human life. The study of gender examines the diverse roles of women and men in community life. The concept of mubadalah is of the new studies in gender equality. The concept of mubadalah is way of looking at two relations, namely man and woman, in which both of them as dignified human beings who are able to take advantages of all aspects of life for their good. Education is an important means of educating people who are knowledgeable and have noble character. Gender-based education is the foundation in creating a gender responsive young generation. This study aims to examine more deeply the concept of mubadalah and its implementation in Islamic education. This study used qualitative approach and the type of this research is library research. Data were obtained from various sources relate to the concept of mubadalah and Islamic education. The results show that the concept of mubadalah is one of the concepts of gender equality which can be used as a reference for understanding gender equality and equity that seeks to see women and men as servants of Allah swt. which is the subject of the texts in Al-Qur’an as well as in their interpretation. Education in an Islamic perspective becomes a forum for teaching gender equality through the design of a gender responsive education component.

Abstract

As a religion which concerned with the social, cultural, psychological and spiritual of the community, Islamic laws had the ability to answer the new problems, especially in all muamalah fields. The Islamic of Nusantara was the comprehension, experience, and implementation of Islam in mualamat of fiqih segment as the dialectical result among the syariat, cultural and  reality throughout the archipelago. The reality reflected on in waqf that became a dynamical ijtihadiyyat  laws along with the benefit which fulfilled the certain space, time and situation. The waqf as the social institution was the realization of the Islamic laws transformation to become a law formation which consisted of the funding system of tasawuf (ilahiyah) study and Islam absolute which grew as the social framework that had the ability to answer all the community needs in some of life fields which affected by the dynamic of space and time. In the context of social institution, the waqf was the  norm system which arranged all the human actions in order to fulfill the basic needs in community life, and it was  a part of  community norms which formed the social, religion institutions and the other institutions which protected by the state.

Abstract

This paper aims to make efforts to develop the Criminal Code derived from the yudicial pardon value in Islamic law as a law that lives and thrives in society. The Criminal Code as the basis of criminal law enforcement is a legacy of the Dutch era which do not know peace to end up the case. It is not in accordance to Pancasila as the basis for legal development in Indonesia. Research method used socio legal and qualitative data analysis. The result of the research claims that Islamic law is a legal source in the development of the justice Criminal Code, forgiveness is possible in the jarimah-hudud and qisas-diyat in solving the criminal case. Implementation in the development of the Criminal Code needs to be added to the reason for the abolition of criminal prosecution if between the perpetrator and the victim is already forgiven, further, in the case of a crime with a slight loss the judge may decide to be forgiven even if the defendant is found guilty.

Abstract

Nowadays, radical Islamic issues has becoming an international’s issues. News stories in media filled by this issue. Even local media also put this issue in their agenda, like local media in Bali Province. Since Bali bombing in 2002, people in Bali have their own trauma related to radical Islamic especially terrorism. Media have the power to shape people’s agenda, and to shape people’s perspective in any issues. So, local media in Bali have power to influence how people in Bali to see and understand the issue. The research’s quetions is how the media in Bali framing radical Islamic issues in 2018? Unit analysis in this research are Bali Post and Tribun Bali. Both of them have the highest traffic and the oldest newspaper in Bali. Research is using Entman’s Framing Method, which focus in how media selected issues and what aspect is highlighted by the media during 2018. The result is peace journalism has been practiced in framing radical issues in Bali.
