Abstract

Problems faced by society in general now is the emergence of a view that places the material aspect which is free of the dimension value in the dominant position. View of life that is based on the ideology of materialism which then push human behavior into economic principals hedonistic, materialistic and secularistic. Indonesia as the country with the world’s largest Islamic community, as well as the role of Muslims in a bid for independence is one proof that Islam teaches morality and responsibility in defending the homeland. Economic role is as the main street permanence in the life of the state. Infact, Islam teaches its followers to be a lot of the individuals who are experts in economic development as a means contributive to realize the vision of building a multicultural Indonesia.

Abstract

Pesantren (Islamic boarding school) grew as traditional Islamic education institutions since the beginning of Islam arrival to Indonesia. The kiai in the traditional pesantren educated the student set of classical Islamic text books those organized by the method sorogan and bandongan. In the early 20th century, pesantrens have got challenge with school education system that introduced by Dutch Colonial Government in the first 1900s. The challenge to pesantren also came from Muslim Reformist which also performed modern educational system in their schools and madrasah. Facing the challenge, most of pesantren modernized their educational system by performing schools and madrasah affiliated to the Indonesian government. There were only a few pesantrens those rejected the of modern educational system. Pesantren al- Is’af rejected the school education system and had ben keeping the sustainability of traditional education of Islamic knowledge teaching learning. The rejection brought about the effort of the pesantren in sthrengtening teaching learning classical Islamic textbook (kitab kuning) with sorogan and bandongan methods. Some of the text books had taugt the rule of santri learning. There were many rules, norms and belief that resulted the culture of learning in Pesantren.

Abstract

ISLAMIC LAW IN THE ERA OF DEMOCRACY. Challenges and Opportunities for a formalization of Islamic Politics in Indonesia: This paper describes the long journey of struggle to include the Islamic teaching into constitution and laws of Indonesia, the challenges faced by some muslims who would establish Islamic teaching through state institutions and the extent to which the opportunities provided by the democracy in Indonesia which can be used by muslims to offer what they consider to be Islamic laws. Attempts to include the Islamic teaching (Shari’ah) in the constitution of the republic of Indonesia appeared before this state is officially declared. Before that, the founders of the state have been arguing about the foundation of the state. Most of them want the basic state of Indonesia is Islam, while others require that the state of Indonesia’s basic is nationalism. The first compromise was reached at the time of the founders of state agreed that the Jakarta Charter which combines elements of nationalism and Islam will be the opening of the country’s constitution.

Abstract

Symptoms of intolerance that was done by most of the ummah of Islam in Indonesia lately, shows that globalization has brought the ideology of the new that actually erode the identity of Islam Indonesia were very accommodating and tolerant of the wealth of local culture, upholding the values of diversity and emancipatory on the role of women in everyday life. Islamic educational institutions should play a role in the reconstruction of intolerance symptoms that Appeared lately. Through management soft skills-based Islamic education is expected to restore Islam Indonesia on Islam very famous identity steeped in local culture and uphold the values of diversity. This article reviews how the management arrangement soft skills-based Islamic education is Able to restore Islam Indonesia returned to his identity.

Abstract

The 5.0 social era has changed the face of global education, including in Indonesia, which has given impacts to its young generation. As a matter of fact, the Indonesian youths merely use their intellectual skills to explore the technological advancement while neglecting the values of virtue, character, and attitude. Thus, it is necessary to recall the thoughts of the Indonesian prominent scholar Ki Hadjar Dewantara who combined multidiciplinary sciences and Indonesian local values as a reference to solve the aforementioned problem. This study is a library research which aims at investigating thoroughly his thoughts, especially ones concerning with the educational theories as well as interpreting the unstructured existing methods used in Indonesian education. The results show that Ki Hadjar Dewantara presented educational ideas from the perspective of multidiciplinary sciences, especially from Sufi Elements in Islam. Ki Hadjar Dewantara introduced this method in three levels: Firstly, children aged 0-7 can be given sharia-packaged exemplary and habituation methods. Secondly, children aged 7-14 can be given hakikat method which applies reward and punishment. Thirdly, students aged 14-21 can be given tirakat and ma’rifat methods which apply physical and mental learning experiences.

Abstract

Diversity is the initial trigger of changing attitudes among individuals. The attitude change can be negative or positive, depending on each individual whether to menfilter anything that indicates the creation of a change of attitude towards a positive or negative. Writing this article aims to provide an overview of male and female students of SMK Plus Nurul Ulum were able to create a positive change in attitude towards the tolerance with teachings based on Islamic religious and cultural values Pendhalungan. The method used in this study is a qualitative method that is by conducting indepth interviews with some of the parties in the relevant schools. Then the data were also obtained from journals and literature support.
