Abstract

The research is aimed at searching and providing an alternative method to increase the reading ability of the children with Mental Retardation. Mental retardation is the condition of mental development is limited and does not grow normally. Researches have prooved that the Glenn Domann Method can improve the Baby’s ability and injured children in reading. The reseacher conducted an action research by applying Glenn Doman method and then applied qualitative approach to analyze five students with special needs in the learning process of public elementary school for children with special needs. The research was investigating the implementation of the method in the teaching learning applied four times per week which spent thirty minutes per meeting. This research had been conducted within twenty four meetings in three months with three circles. The result of this reseach is that the implementation of Glenn Domann method did not significantly increase the reading ability of the mental retardation students. Students are more interested with the object drawn than the words provided. The no involvement of parents during research could be the factor why the influence is not significant. However, although the facts that the students have low intelligence and mental retardation became the crucial factors of the failure of the method, the positive movement and more concerns on the students with the same condition must always be committed.Keywords: Mental retardation, reading, glenn domann method

Abstract

The evaluation was conducted in an integrated manner with the learning activities. evaluation can be done both in formal and informal atmosphere, in the classroom, outside the classroom, integrated in the teaching and learning activities or done at that particular time. The evaluation was conducted through a variety of means, such as written tests, assessment of students’ work through a collection of work (work) students (work-sheet), and evaluation work present (performance)of students. In this study using the technique of documentation in the form of draft national final exam Madrasah Aliyah (MA) in 2012/2013. This study used a qualitative method, which seeks to describe about the quality of the test items the national final exam Madrasah Aliyah (MA) in 2012/2013 in terms of validity andthe reliability, the degree of difficulty of items, distinguishing items, and functionof troublemaker, and compliance problems with standards of competence and competence base. From the analysis conducted, it appears that in terms of materials and construction aspects of the study exam final exam national standard Arabic subjects Madrasah Aliyah (MA) in 2012/2013 in general is still not good. Abstract

Social science is an important subject to be taught in the school because it has been designed to develop knowledge, insight, and critical thinking so that the students would be able to live in harmony in the misdt of the society. Nevertheless, the current teaching practice of social science is far from perfect since it consists only general explanation of a topic being taught. Consequently, the students tend to dislike social science. To cope with such, the researcher utilized the mind-mapping model to develop the teaching practice so that, in turn, the students would be better at doing the class activities. The research was conducted in State Senior High School 1 of Gisting district. The research itself was a classroom action research consisting of two cycles. The result of the research shows that the use of Mind-mapping model has helped the students of the school increase their grades as well as their involvement in the classroom activities.Keywords : social science learning, classroom activities, grades, mind-mapping model

Abstract

Teachers do not need to be “preachers” who continues lecturing and cramming the students with a lot of theories. In this modern era, a child should not be treatedlike a “wastebasket” which just became a reservoir of knowledge. Learners need tobe treated as a whole and holistic as human learner will absorb the experience as much as possible through the learning process interesting and fun. Therefore, the class needs to be designed as a “mini-society” that is able to provide an overview of how the students interact with each other. In other words, the class should be able to become a “magnet” that can suck the students’ interest and attention of students to continue to learn, not as prison that restrains their freedom to think, talk, argue, take the initiative, or interaction.Keywords: Deep dialogue/critical thinking, teaching methood, innovative.

Abstract

Submission of the people to God is limited by legal formal jurisprudence which is a set of procedures for worship. Though closeness to God can only be built with the submission, obedience and spiritual dialogue with God are needed. That is commonly practiced by Sufis and also perhaps by the Jama’ah Tabligh (JT). One of the teachings in the JT concept is to develop a simple lifestyle, full of modesty, moderation, also do not like to waste. Ushulul Dakwah has clearly illustrated that view by reducing four things namely: the time to eat and drink, sleep and rest period, a mosque and a time out to speak or perform activities in vain.Keywords: Sufisme, Jama’ah Tabligh

Abstract

Character is a crucial problem in Islam, and the character of education must be applied for all of Moslems in the world because in the Islamic perspective a branch of the pilars and fundamental doctrine of Islam is developing akhlak (noble character) beside aqidah, and syariah. Ibnu Maskawaih is the intelectual muslim and he is who have the doctrine of golden mean. He introduced in Islam about and improved how to be the good moslem, and he was thinking that caharacter education will be given to the human being since early age, because it is a integrated system in Islamic religion and will be identity of Islamic society. Good character must be possessed for every one to make the harmony in the entire of their life. Abstract

This study is aimed at classifying the kinds of errors in Arabic conversations of students majoring in Arabic at the State Islamic College of Jurai Siwo Metro in Academic Year 2013/2014, describing the frequency of the language errors, and explaining the factors that caused the language error. The data were collected through observation, field notes, and tape recording. The results showed that errors in Arabic conversations of the students can be classified in three kinds of languages errors, namely: (1) the pronunciation errors, (2) the morphology errors, and (3) the syntax errors. On the kind of pronunciation errors, the highest frequency of errors occurred at pronunciation of / ض/, / ث/, / ع/, and / Ð/. On the kind of morphology errors, the highest frequency of errors occurred at tashrif fi’il madhiy and tashrif fi’il mudhari›. On the kind of syntax errors, the highest frequency of errors occurred at the structure of mudhaf-mudhaf ilaih, na›at-man’ut, and jarmajrur. The factors that caused the pronunciation errors can be categorized as the inter-language errors. While the factors that caused morphology errors and syntax errors can be categorized as the intra-lingual errors.Keywords:Language errors, inter-language errors, intra-language errors

Abstract

Hadanah is widely known as children upbringing conducted by the parents. It involves parents’ activities of educating and serving the children. This research deals with hadanah seen from Islamic family law. The objective of the research was to clarify whether hadanah should be accounted as a right or an obligation for the children. This article is a library research in nature with a descriptive qualitative method. The research data was analyzed through the so-termed content analysis. The research approach used in this research was normative theological so that the result or the finding of the research could be accepted normatively. The result of the research shows that hadanah is a right that belongs to a mother, father, and child. When a dispute occurs, the child’s right should be a priority from which the solution is derived. This research suggests that the parents should understand and elaborate the concept of hadanah into modern context.Keywords:Child upbringing, child, parents
