Abstract

The importance of employee commitment reflects the good relationship between employees and organizations. Employee commitment can be influenced by some factors, such as person-organization fit (P-O Fit), job motivation, and job satisfaction. This study has objective to analysis the person-organization fit, job motivation, and job satisfaction influences toward employee commitment. Researcher uses 60 employees as sample in the UB Hotel, exclude the Director Data is analyzed by using Partial Least Square (PLS). The result shows that person-organization fit has a positive and significant influence on job motivation, job satisfaction, and employee commitment. Also, job motivation and job satisfaction have a positive and significant influence on the employee commitment. In the other hand, there is an indirect relationship between person-organization fit toward employee commitment through job motivation or job satisfaction

Abstract

The objectives of this study are to examine and analize the influence of human capital and organizational learning on organizational performance mediated by organizational competence and innovation culture.The population of this study was all of the private Higher Education who had 50% of accredited study programs, as many as 68 PTS, 15 PTS used to instrument test.The sampling technique used is sencus method as many as 53 PTS. Testing model uses structural equation modeling (SEM) with Partial Least Square (PLS) Approach. Result of the study show that 1) the intellectual capital to constitute primal indicator of human capital had significant influence on organizational performance mediated by organizational competence. 2) the intellectual capital to constitute primal indicator of human capital had significant influence on organizational performance mediated by innovation culture. 3) Personal's skills constitute primal indicator of organization learning had significant influence on organizational performance mediated by organizational competence. 4) Personal's skills constitute primal indicator of organization learning had significant influence on organizational performance mediated by innovation culture.

Abstract

The research aims to investigate and examine the mediating effect of on employees'trust, in thecontext of transformational leadership at Civilian Para-Police Force Institution in Banyumas Area. It isexpected that the result of the research will provide an account to human resources management literaturewith regards to transformational leadership issue.The research is an explanatory study which attempts toexamine and describe the variables using cross-sectional data analysis. Quantitative approach and indepthinterview are employed in this research. The research population consists of all employees of CivilianPara-Police Force Institution in Banyumas Area (Banyumas, Purbalingga, Cilacap, dan Banjarnegararegency). Total number of the population is 266 employees, but only 132 respondents returned the questionnaires;thus, the response rate is 74%. Proportional random sampling is employed as the samplingtechnique of the research. Structural Equation Modeling (using AMOS software) is performed for dataanalysis purpose. The result shows that trust has mediating effect on the relationship between transformationalleadership and employees'commitment. The result provides an account in establishing a model oftransformational leadership that will be more effective and suitable for this kind of organization (CivilianPara-Police Force Institution).

Abstract

Law of the Republic of Indonesia No. 14/2005 on Teachers and Lecturers called the four competencies of teachers, which include: pedagogical competencies, personality, social, and professional; fourth is a component of professional competence of teachers; with variable compensation determines the quality of performance. The purpose of this study to see the professionalism and the influence of variable compensation to performance. The approach used is a combination/mix (embedded correlational mixed methods approach model) exclusively for personal competency variables that serve to support the findings of expost facto quantitative approach to the design. Number of samples 76 teachers (50%) of the total population in Malang. Analysis of data using multiple regression techniques and sequential analysis of data. The study's findings that the pedagogic competence, personality and professional significant effect on teacher performance, social competence, and the compensation effect is not significant. Competence of the personality of the results of interviews indicate that at first not interested in being a teacher, but is becoming interested and fun, so it performs well, this means finding qualitatively supports the findings of the quantitative approach.

Abstract

Children consumer can take consumption decisions. Children consumers are unique because they have lack abilities and cognitive skills compared to older consumers. This study aims to describe the phenomenon of children ability to make decisions independently to buy snacks. ? What is known and taken into consideration and how we can build children consumer empowerment. The method used is phenomenology. Data obtained from interview with 10 informants of children and mothers. The results show thatchildren take decisions of consumption independently but not with full consideration. Reference factors which are teachers, parents, and product determine a quick evaluation or choice of alternative of snack product. Physical and psychological needs become the basis of quick evaluation of alternative of product and purchasing decisions by children consumers. This study also gives the concept of children consumer empowerment in order make decisions.

Abstract

The importance of the organization to build commitment all target markets increasinglynecessary as part of a marketing strategy to maintain effective long-term relationship, asreflected by the loyalty market. To measure the magnitude of the role that market commitment is necessaryto identify through research the dimensions of affective commitment, calculative and goal commitment onloyalty, in addition to the antecedent factors of service quality and reliability. The research was carriedout by involving students at a private college (PTS) of the Yogyakarta. The results show the importanceof the role of affective commitment dimension and level of trust as a mediator variable to the buildstudent loyalty. Predicted size of student loyalty is also directly contributed by the quality of service hasbeen provided by management and the level of student goal commitment.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of employee involvement, organizational culture andleadership style on organizational commitment in improving performance. Inferential statistical analysisused was SEM (Structural Equation Modeling) by collecting data through a survey of administrative staffat UB as much as 130 repsonden. The analysis proved that there is a positive influence signifikant betweenemployee engagement, organizational culture and leadership style on organizational commitment, a positiveinfluence signifikant between employee engagement, organizational culture, leadership style andorganizational commitment to employee performance.

Abstract

in the long-term perspective, this study aims to improve Indonesia's competitiveness through theapplication of labor standardization. The specific objectives of this study was, first identify the areas ofcompetence that must be owned agro-industry sector workforce in Indonesia. Second, formulate a modelstrategy (grand strategy) agro-industry sector workforce development in Indonesia. Third,formulate aneffective policy alternatives to improve the competitiveness of agro-industry sector workforce inIndonesia. Fifth, to formulate indicators of competence as the basis for assessment of the labor certificationin agroindustry sector in Indonesia. The method of analysis used in this study were (a) Analysis of MappingFunctions work, EFI & EFE Matrix Analysis, SWOT Analysis, Policy Analysis, and Basic Function Analysis.Based on the analysis of the work function mapping got the result that the area of competence that mustbe owned by the agro-sector employment in Indonesia, namely 5 (five) key functions include 1) developmentprocess, 2) development of quality standards, 3) the technical development of packaging, 4) developmentof storage , and 5) development of marketing and business strategy. SWOT analysis results indicate thatthe agro-industry sector in workforce development is in quadrant III is a grand strategy to turnaroundstrategy.The alternative strategy of agro-industry sector workforce development in Indonesia includestrategies SO and WO of each there are 4 strategies, ST strategies totaling 3 and WT strategiesamounted to 2.Policy Analysis of the results obtained there are 30 alternative policies agro industrialsectorworkforce development. One is the restructuring of the Training Center by establishing a vocationaltraining center specialized agro-industry. The results of the analysis ofthe basic functions and processes inthe production of agro-industries can be generated 65 competence of workers in the agroindustrialsectorof Indonesia.

Abstract

This study was developed with refer to the contingency theory in assessing the suitability ofgovernment intervention, strategy and performance of PDAM in Sulawesi. The purpose of this study are: (1)Explain the effect of government intervention on the efficiency and performance of PDAM, (2) Explain theinfluence of resources on the efficiency and performance of PDAM, (3) Explain the role of non-marketcapabilities in moderating the effect of government intervention on performance PDAM, (4) Explain theinfluence of efficiency on the performance of PDAM and (5) Explain the role of efficiency in mediating theeffect of government intervention, resources on the performance of PDAM in Sulawesi. Data was collectedusing a survey method at 60 PDAM in Sulawesi. In 60 PDAM is obtained only 54 stating willingness tobecome responden. Between 54 PDAM willing just, 50 questionnaires that may be analyzed by using PLS.The findings in this study are: (1) Financial assistance of local goverment is on time and the amount alongwith production capacity and optimal water distribution. (2) Financial assistance reinforced by communicationability of PDAM with local government side. (3) Availability of resources such as pipe lines, machineand pump according to the requirement.

Abstract

The second-phase developmental research was intended to produce a model, namely the KPRI’sstrategic performance management (SPM) model. The effectiveness of model was verified through fieldtesting based on pre-test/post-test without control group design in workshop forum. The sample was takenby using a purposive technique including sample of KPRIs and personnel samples of KPRI. Data wereanalyzed by using paired-samples t test and one-sample t test. The result showed that the field testing ofmodel in workshop forum: (1) contributed positively to KPRIs personnels attitude; (2) affected in increasingKPRIs personnels knowledge of the model principles; and (3) was effective in both its process andproduct. Following up the field testing of model in workshop forum, the further researches based on operationalfield testing are very important to conduct. In operational field testing, the effectiveness of model willbe verified through daily activities of KPRI.
