Abstract

Abstract one of the national manufacturing industry company engaged in the manufacture of military products with the resulting product is plastic box 260. To minimize the waste that occurs lean manufacturing approach is assisted by one of the tools in the concept of lean value stream mapping (VSM) aims to describe the overall Information from the flow of raw materials to finished products. Waste identification begins with the waste relationship matrix (WRM) and waste assessment questionnaire (WAQ) to determine the percentage of waste with the 3rd largest rank. Further analysis is done by analytical hierarchy process (AHP) aims to know the criteria of weighting from waste that has the highest ranking. The recommendation of improvement based on the analysis of waste with the 3 largest (unccessary inventory, overproduction, motion) and takt time calculation is to apply 5S, to apply forecasting, to add a working facility in the form of cooling room, to do maintenance activities such as preventive maintenance, addition of tools and machine, Setting laser machine, and layout design of production floor layout.

Abstract

Customer loyalty is the key to customer retention, so that customer loyalty needs to be accomplished before reaching customer retention. Customer satisfaction is considered as an important factor and a positive effect on customer loyalty so far. Several previous studies have revealed that, besides customer satisfaction, there are other factors that determine customer loyalty. Until now, research on other factors that determine the customer loyalty give varies results. This research will develop a model of customer loyalty in the Islamic banking institutions, especially the Bank Syariah Mandiri (BSM) where data trends of satisfaction and customers loyalty is not proportional, by using the PLS-SEM in data processing. The aim of this study was to develop a model of customer loyalty in banking institutions, especially the Islamic banking (Bank Syariah Mandiri). The results showed that customer satisfaction is not significantly affect customer loyalty, and only the quality of services that significantly affect customer loyalty. Switching barrier and customer trust is also proven not affect customer retention both on the main effects and on the interaction effects with customer satisfaction. The result is expected to be a managerial reference to increase customer loyalty.

Abstract

Halal products become more popular in the world market today that increase the demand of other halal services especially in halal distribution system. These services are designed not only for profitability but its ability to serve customers to maintain the integrity of their halal products. The important decision of designing halal distribution system is determining the location of facilities. In this paper, a halal and non-halal demand constrains with vehicle flow formulation of an uncapacitated location routing model is presented. Halal and non-halal goods are not mixed on a same transportation vehicle. Its a clear difference in transportation of halal and non-halal goods. A location routing problem used to minimize total cost simultaneously. A heuristic algorithm is developed to solve minimum cost considering halal aspect. This paper conduct some numerical experiments to show the behavior of this algorithm.

Abstract

Time is one of the factors to assess a worker's performance in utilizing the available resources. Operator in his work requires efficient time to improve work productivity. One of factory in produce a shrimp feed in Surabaya has a large production level. In the production process, the packaging department in this company still uses human resources in their production process and the company define the standard of production without using standard time. This paper investigates the opportunity a logical analysis in determining the standard time in this company. The determination of the standard time in the packaging process requires comprehensive analysis. Objects observed are four operators in the packaging department that carried out the activities of filling bag the shrimp feed with 40 replication for each data. The work measurement was conducted by direct method using Stopwatch Time Study (STS) with snap-back method. The results of this study indicate the standard time value of the four lines packaging is not much different or almost the same. Sequentially the standard time workers line 1 to line 4 is 7.325 seconds, 7.240 seconds, 7.225 seconds, and 7.065 seconds. Allowance used for workers is 8%. However, the existing production rate of company is higher than the production rate of work measurement calculation. This is due to the difference of definition in employee allowance rate and performance rating.

Abstract

IKM genteng Talangsuko is a roof tile producers that was founded in 1980. They can produce 300-350 roof tile in each day. However, the accumulation of material happens frequently due to the limited capacity of drying space. This problem causes the production process to be obstructed, so they need an equipment that can increase the production capacity of the roof tile. Accordingly, the purpose of this research are to determine the design and spesification of the equipment and to determine whether the equipment could increase the production capacity of roof tile. This rearch proposes design of the equipment using the AHOQ method. The result of this research is the specification of the equipment that consist of three components which are rack body, wheels, and the last part is slope arranger for each level of rack. The design of material handling equipment is in the form of multilevel racks with wheels. This equipment may increase the production capacity of roof tile in IKM Genteng Talangsuko especially for the drying process to 2 times from 300-350 to ± 750 roof tiles.

Abstract

The human stress level is rather intangible, and therefore cannot be directly measured. However, this stress can be correlated to external and/or internal factors, which are rather tangible things, such as heart rate, Systolic-Diastolic Blood Pressure, salivary α-amylase, and skin temperature. These factors measurements are provided in wide ranges and vary individually lends itself naturally to fuzzy sets and fuzzy logic. This research is aimed at assessing respondents stress level through the changes of physiological factors above over time. The subjects of this study are 10 healthy adults, aged between 23-35 years old. The measurement time divided into four periods, namely pre-stressor, stressor-I, stressor-II and post stressor period. Pauli-test and mental arithmetic test was used as stressors. Obtained data were analyzed using Fuzzy Inference System (FIS) toolbox in MATLAB. By using fuzzy inference system model, the system succeeds to predict subject stress value/index based on subject physiological value. The result showed that the changes in human factors affects human stress value/index, although the subjects stated that their stress level on the same level their physiological factors were changed during measurement, and the models showed the changes of subject stress value during different period of measurement time. Keywords:
