Abstract

Productivity is the key to improved standard of living of a Country. Productivity growth represents the key to economic success. In this perspective we could increase productivity, one through human resources productivity that represents a potential contained within each human being. From understanding of human resources, then human health is one factor that important to support good human resources. And stress is one of human health problems that can be classified as dangerous phenomenon that leads to deterioration of people’s total functioning The physiological stressors activate two stress response systems; the HPA axis (hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenal) and SAM sympatho-adrenal-medullary axis. SAM activates two regulatory systems, i.e. systems hormones norepinephrine and direct system sympathetic innervations. Both affect increased secretion of salivary amylase. Increased levels of norepinephrine associated with the increased of blood pressure, heart rate, and skin temperature. In this research we use blood pressure, heart rate, skin temperature and salivary amylase because the four physiological factors can be measured by non-invasive way and without requiring special skills. Ten people volunteered to participate in this study. All study participants were healthy adults and aged between 23 until 35 years old. All of them are not smoker. The subject consisted by five males and five females. All of them will measured their blood pressure (BP), heart rate (HR), salivary amylase, and skin temperature. Further, the experiment data will analyzed using statistical analysis – Ordinal Logistic Regression to know the influence of stress on physiological factors. Two physiological factors namely amylase and heart rate that affected by stress. For blood pressure and skin temperature revealed no effect. No effect in this case based solely on the statement of the hypothesis only. Indeed for the results of the effect of stress on blood pressure and skin temperature result still not clear. Due to it can be both factors at the time of acute stress response. While this study only used to determine the effect of stress on physiological factors immediately.

Abstract

Patchouli oil is the main ingredient of parfume as the binder of the fragrances. Patchouli oil is the distillates of patchouli’s leaves and stems. The distillation produces waste (dry leaves) which nowadays used as fertilizer, myrrh, mosquito coil, compost, and as the fuel of the distillation process itself. Up to today, the use of dry leaves as the distillation’s fuel is by burning them normally. We believe that this fuel can be used by other sectors by forming it as brickets. This research aims to find the right parameter combination of the patchouli’s dry leaves, stems, and other materials with taguchi’s method that hopefully can be used as household and even industrial fuels. Factors that contribute the most to elevates the average value of the combustion’s duration are the adhesive level, patchouli leaves’ carbon particle size, and drying duration. Whereas the combustion duration interval is 44,3036< Upredicted < 61,62.

Abstract

PT SGB is one of the companies that produce Ready To Drink (RTD) beverage as its product and its demand have increased every each year. The company’s supply chain process must be complex, it starts from materials order from supplier, materials storage management in warehouse, producting the beverage itself, finished good storing in the back-off factory then delivering to customers. All those processes belong to company’s supply chain stream and it is mapped as the element of Supply Chain Operation Reference (SCOR). From that complex processes, there were found supply chain risk as the problem. Risks that found in supply chain flow should be solved based on risk priority order. The method that used for analizing the risk is House of Risk (HOR), consist of two phases. The objective of the first phase of HOR is knowing the risk priority that should be mitigated based on the Aggregate Risk Potential (ARP) score, and the objective of the second phase of HOR are generating some preventive strategies and choosing the most effective strategy that suitable to be implemented in the company. Meanwhile, the Pareto chart is used to determine the choosen priority risk to be mitigated. There are 63 identified risk events based on SCOR elements, 43 identified risk agents, and 15 recommended preventive strategies according to the most effective sequence of strategies that applied in the company.

Abstract

By making logistics outsourcing decision, companies have been able to improve the logistics performance, maintain focus on core business, and minimize distribution cost. However in decentralized condition, there is only limited control of the third party logistics service provider (TPLSP), whose logistics service performance affect the products availability, quality, price, and market share. In this research, a model is developed as coordination mechanisms with the implementation of logistics outsourcing in decentralized supply chain. Revenue sharing contract model is developed in the proposed model to coordinate the supply chain consisting of manufacturers, TPLSPs, and retailers. Moreover the incentive and penalty scheme are implemented in accordance to the supply chain logistics service performance, so the risks and the necessary costs could be allocated to all players. To increase the desirability level of the contracts for all players, the contracts parameters are determined so that all players could obtain higher profit than in a common decentralized supply chain conditions, furthermore the win-win condition can be achieved. This paper provides new model of coordination mechanism in supply chain with logistics outsourcing and offers the incentive and penalty scheme into the basic model of revenue sharing contracts.

Abstract

Abstract: Internal combustion engine is an engine that is old enough and today has much alternative energy that is found to shift from the role of motor fuel, The cooling system in internal combustion engine, if not handled properly will cause something that is fatal is the occurrence of overheating. Cooling during this time using the fin and radiator, and research continues to grow in terms of heat transfer, that is by using porous media, with the help of computer simulation then the role of the fin and radiator can be replaced with porous media with porosity variation 10%, 15%, 20% 25%, 30% so that the temperature distribution will be obtained. The result of the research by using simulation shows that the porosity value of porous media, the temperature distribution value is also bigger. The lower porosity of the value of (h) the heat transfer coefficient will increase.
