Abstract

Objective: The aim of the study is to determain the relation between blood glucose level and cognitive function score in stroke ischemic patient at RSUD Dr. Moewardi. Background: . An ischemic stroke is death of an area of brain tissue (cerebral infarction) resulting from an inadequate supply of blood and oxygen to the brain due to blockage of an artery. Cognitive impairmentsthat may be experiencedafter theoccurrenceof strokeincludedifficulty concentratingforthe amountof time, organization, forgetfulnessand being easilyconfused. The state of hyperglycemia is common in the acute phase of stroke caused by stress and an increase in serum catecholamines. This study aimed to proof that their blood glucose levels rise will increase infarct size, decreased cognitive function and clinical output effects are worse, especially in non-hemorrhagic stroke Methods: This analytic study was analytic observational with cross-sectional approach. A sample of 50 study subjects was selected by random sampling from outpatients with stroke ischemic visiting the Neurology Clinics, RSUD Dr. Moewardi Surakarta. The data were collected by interview using a set of questionnaire. The data was analyszed using multiple linear regression model on SPSS version 17 for Windows. Abstract

ABSTRACT Background: Bupivacaine and Bupivacaine-Fentanyl mostly used in spinal anesthesia for prgenancy that need caesarian sections. Bupivacaine and Bupivacaine-Fentanyl influenced haemodynamic condition. One of the haemodynamic is respiration rate. When the respiration rate changed, it could change the oxygen saturation. Methods: Pregnant patients that need caesarean section with spinal anesthesia bupivacaine and bupivacaine-fentanyl were gathered. During the operation, oxygen saturation was observed with bed site monitor and it was noted. The data of oxygen saturation, data from medical record (age, weight, and height), and data of the previous research (bed site monitor) to be analyzed with Mann-Whitney test, Discriminant test, and Saphiro-Wilk test. Result: According to statistic analysis, there were no significant differences on the changing of oxygen saturation that is induced bupivacaine and bupivacaine-fentanyl in every phase (p >0.050 ). And, there were also no significant differences in the changing of oxygen saturation that was correlated with age (p=0.991), weight (p=0.986), and height (p=1.000). Abstract

Background: Inhalative anesthesia with isoflurane and sevoflurane are known to lower the oxygen saturation in patients. Both of these agents reduce the ventilation response to hypoxia. The aim of this study was to compare the effect of giving inhaled anesthetics isoflurane and sevoflurane to changes in oxygen saturation. Methods: This study was an observational analytic study with cross-sectional approach. The study was conducted at the Central Installation of Surgery dr. Moewardi Hospital. Samples were taken by consecutive sampling. There were two groups in this study, the first group received isoflurane anesthesia, the other group received sevoflurane anesthesia. Changing of oxygen saturation during operation was observed for two groups used bedside monitor. The data which have been collected analyzed using the Mann Whitney test and Pearson correlation test. Results: This study revealed a decrease in oxygen saturation for both groups in the induction phase (sevoflurane = 97.42 0.90; isoflurane = 97.00 0.75; p = 0.113). However, the oxygen saturation of isoflurane group was more fluctuating than sevoflurane group after inducton phase (p intubation = 0.001; p incision 5 = 0.117; p incision 10 = 0.001; p incision 15 = 0.048). The further analysis showed no statistically significant difference in oxygen saturation between the isoflurane and the sevoflurane groups (p = 0.113). Conclusions: There are no significant differences in changing of oxygen saturation between the isoflurane and sevoflurane anesthesia on the induction phase, 5 minutes and 15 minutes after incision. Anesthesia with sevoflurane in oxygen saturation is more stable compared with isoflurane anesthesia on intubation phase until 15 minutes after incision. Abstract

Introduction: Uterine prolapse is one of pelvic organ prolapse and become the number two most common cases after sistourethrokel . Epidemiology cases of uterine prolapse in Indonesia showed that uterine prolapse more common in patients grande multipara in menopause, rarely occurs in women nullipara . Over the past decade , the evaluation of pelvic organ prolapse in relation to health , using a comprehensive approach or overall. Instruments developed in this evaluation is the Prolapse Quality of Life Questionnaire (P-QOL). Differences in the treatment of uterine prolapse cases will certainly lead to different perceptions of individuals on their quality of life as measured using a P - QOL. The purpose of this study was to compare the quality of life of uterine prolapse surgery with conservative conducted in hospitals DR . Moewardi Surakarta . Methods: This study was observational analytic with cross sectional method . Samples were examined as many as 31 patients with uterine prolapse who were divided into 2 groups: 15 patients as operative group and 16 patients as conservative groups . Samples taken by accidental sampling . Samples were selected based on inclusion and exclusion criteria. Once approved informed consent, were interviewed using P - QOL questionnaire. The variables studied were the quality of life of patients in accordance with the chosen therapy . Data were analyzed using an unpaired t test Results: Obtained P values ??of 0.001 less than 0.05 . Meanwhile for the t table , look at the table t distribution with ? = 5 % : 2 = 2.5% with degrees of freedom ( df ) n - 2 or 31-2 = 29. By testing two sides ( significance = 0.025 ) results obtained for t table of 2.04. As for t obtained amounted to 3,81. Calculated t > t table ( 3.81 > 2.04 ) and P value ( 0.001 < 0.05), then Ho is rejected and H1 accepted, meaning that there are differences in the quality of life of patients with uterine prolapse between operative group with conservative groups . Conclusions: There are differences in the quality of life of patients with uterine prolapse surgery with conservative conducted at Hospital Dr. Moewardi Surakarta. Keywords: Uterine prolapse, quality of life, surgical, conservative.
