Jurnal ini sudah terbit sejak tahun 2002 dengan frekuensi dua kali dalam setahun, yaitu bulan Juni dan Desember. Marwah merupakan media komunikasi ilmiah antar peminat dan pemerhati kajian gender, perempuan dan Islam. Dengan tujuan mengangkat harkat dan martabat perempuan dan terpublikasinya bahan bacaan/rujukan tentang kajian-kajian perempuan.

Abstract

There are differences of opinion about the permissibility of women's political opposite. This is due to understand the Qur'an partial and still gender bias. The divergent views associated with differences in understanding the sources of Islamic teachings, especially the verses of the Koran that talk about politics. This paper discusses how the actual political rights of women in Islam, so that people can understand and are not taboo for women in politics. Based on the identification and classification and analysis of the texts of the Qur'an and the Hadith about politics in al-Qur'an. It was found that women in politics have the right according to Islam. Men and women are obliged to commanding the good and forbidding the evil through several ways including the political media. Islam does not distinguish between men and women in individual rights and the rights of the main civic political rights. However, that should be noted is that all these rights must be placed within the limits of natural as women.

Abstract

This research is a library research which have purpose to integrate religion and Science in learning. There are three questions to be answered, first circumstances of integration between religion and Science, a description from the example of integration between religion and science come out  form the Moon and the theme of nature and explanation in the Qur'an. With analysis and normative content of the Qur'an explain the phenomena of nature with science and science context. The first research results, the integration of science with nature is a necessity and it is becoming important in the development of sciences as theology which also containing common knowledge.

Abstract

This paper is a summary of research conducted in New Market, Pangkalan Kerinci, in referring to the empowerment of women traders in the pattern of ownership (Power of Ownership) on market access, management scheme (Power of Management) and the structuring of the market, as well as making patterns utilization and gains (Power of Utility) more balanced between women traders and merchant men. Empowerment is to reduce direct several factors inherent in a merchant family, poor women are (1) do not have a place to sell permanent (2) the level of buying and selling low, (3) low health, (4) capital is too small, (5) ability to hire los or kiosk, (6) the advantage is not sufficient for basic needs, (7) low wages. Required number of strategic actions in order to empower them, which include short-term actions and long-term action. Programs that need to be done include: a. Prioritizing budgets and resources, in order to achieve the goals and objectives of empowerment of poor traders. b. Setting priorities and achieving the targets of the merchants perempuan.c empowerment program. Evaluating the achievement of targets and implementation of development programs. d. Facilitate market conditions that support through the establishment of local regulations on empowering merchants. e. Motivate and strengthen the organization's participation in the empowerment of trader traders women to achieve independence.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine how the achievement of the MDGs relating to child and maternal health in the province of Riau. Samples were used that the MDGs program in Riau Province on the health aspects of the achievement of the MDG's in the province of Riau. The data collected will be described by using descriptive and cross tabulation techniques. The results showed the infant mortality rate per 1,000 live births in the province of Riau have under any other limitation of the MDG's are nine infant deaths per 1,000 live births MDG's target of 23 deaths per 1,000 live births. To decrease mortality rate per 1,000 live births Riau province is also under the limit, which is 5 mortality per 1,000 live births. For reducing maternal mortality by three-quarters of Riau province to reach its target in 2015, while for the achievement of maternity coverage attended by health personnel in the province of Riau has almost reached the target of the MDG's in 2013. The percentage of married women aged 15-49 years is still shows low considerable progress.Expected to further enhance the performance of the government in the field of maternal and child health.

Abstract

This study was to determine the religiosity of women traders in traditional markets Riau Province. This is a qualitative descriptive study, the research subjects were women traders, while the object is religiosity women traders in traditional markets. Collecting data using interview and observation techniques, the collected data were analyzed with descriptive qualitative analysis. Religiosity in mostly women traders in traditional markets can be categorized as good (obedient) and there are still some that are categorized less good (less obedient), this can be seen in the implementation of praying the Zuhur and Asr on time or not for the Moslems, go to church or not for Christians, as well as other religions if they carry out rituals or not when they are trading, friendly or not in the buyer, honest or not in weighing goods, and others.

Abstract

This article aims to unravel the history of the political movement Muslim women in East Sumatra in the early 20th century to show that the socio-religious identity of Muslim women have been forged through a number of socio-political, and show the different features of the relationship between Islam and women colonial period. This paper describes how the role Islam played in providing transformative power to fulfill the roles and develop the status of Muslim women in this area, is realized with the adoption of Islam such as hijab dress code, to provide education for them, organize themselves as an important means of political struggle of identity. Original argument in this study is that the new Islamic discourse is always born of a desire to challenge the conservative understanding of the role and status of women in different historical periods.

Abstract

Feeling of inferiority adalah salah satu gangguan psikologis yang dialami oleh siswa obesitas.  penyebab terjadinya inferiority complex pada siswa obesitas dapat berupa konsep diri negatif dan lingkungan yang tidak kondusif. Adler adalah ilmuan yang secara khusus membahas kondisi fisik sebagai salah satu penyebab munculnya inferiority complex pada manusia.Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengetahui gambaran rasa rendah diri siswa obesitas dan menemukan sebab terjadinya inferiority complex pada siswa obesitas.Adapun hasil penelitian ini adalah Feeling of inferiority siswa obesitas di SMPI Khaira Ummah Padang berada pada kategori tinggi.Faktor penyebab Feeling of inferiority siswa obesitas di SMPI Khaira Ummah Padang adalah kondisi lingkungan yang melakukan penekanan dan penolakan terhadap kondisi fisik mereka melalui verbal.Disarankan konselor sekolah membantu siswa obesitas tersebut untuk membentuk konsep diri baru dengan merancang dan melakukan kegiatan konseling kelompok heterogen.Kegiatan ini terbukti efektif untuk memberikan dukungan pada kasus-kasus serupa

Abstract

Gender mainstreaming is a globally accepted strategy for promoting gender equality. Mainstreaming is not an end in itself but a strategy, an approach, a means to achieve the goal of gender equality. Mainstreaming involves ensuring that gender perspectives and attention to the goal of gender equality are central to all activities - policy development, research, advocacy/dialogue, legislation, resource allocation, and planning, implementation and monitoring of programs and projects. Gender mainstreaming is, therefore, becoming a collective awareness and concern in most countries since it is viewed as one of the most appropriate, comprehensive and representative approaches to solve both the problem of gender inequality and the problem of violence against women and children including in Indonesia in general and Aceh in particular.  This study is aimed at exploring how gender mainstreaming initiatives, attempts to integrate a gender equality approach to post-tsunami and post-conflict reconstruction and development efforts in Aceh, take part in the social and political reconstruction by both reproducing and subverting gendered images of temporality and spatiality as well as promoting a holistic gender equality in all aspects of life. The method used in doing this research is a library method in which all related data and library resources are collected, examined and finally analyzed. The result of this study suggests, among others, that gender mainstreaming should be based on a holistic approach, not only in spirit and conceptual basis but also in practical and social reality basis, such as empowering women in having equal access toward education, access to economic resources, access to the right of possessing property, etc. Moreover, one of another important result of this study is that the violence against women and children that still commonly occur almost everywhere in the world should be viewed as collective enemy and challenge which needs to be faced and eliminated collectively as well.

Abstract

Nabi Adam dan Hawa keluar dari surga dikarenakan memakan buah yang dilarang oleh Allah untuk dimakan, peristiwa itu disebabkan Hawa merayu suaminya sampai terpedaya mengikuti keinginan istri. Lalu kejadian ini dijadikan asal mula bentuk pengkhianatan istri terhadap suami yang diungkapkan Rasulullah. Pemahaman hadis secara tekstual adalah Hawa diidentikkan sebagai pengkhianat istitusi keluarga pertama dan perbuatannya ini menjadi identitas perempuan tukang pengkhianat suami sepanjang hidup manusia. Namun hadis ini harus dipahami secara kontekstual dari kata “seandainya bukan” adalah bertujuan untuk taubikh (pernyataan jelek), pengkhianat perempuan sebagai kalimat majazi bukan untuk merendahkan martabat perempuan. Ungkapan pengkhianatan dalam hadis bukan perbuatan fahishah tapi sebatas melanggar larangan Allah. Dalam konteks ini, Islam mendudukkan kaum perempuan pada posisi yang terhormat dan tidak ada namanya dosa turun temurun. Asumsi misogini dalam hadis tidak beralasan dengan mengemukan hadis-hadis kemulian perempuan dan hubungan suami istri adalah ikatan dunia akhirat.

Abstract

In article 7, paragraph (1) of Law No. 1 of 1974 on marriage mentioned that the maturity of a child is if the man was 21 years old and 18 year old girl. In article 7, paragraph (1) of Law No. 1 of 1974 on marriage states that marriage is only allowed if a man has reached the age of 19 years and women have attained the age of 16 years. That is, the law allows minors to enter into marriage. On the other hand, the law looks acknowledge a violation of the provisions of the age and maturity limits candidates to enter into marriage. It is accommodated in article 7, paragraph (2) of Law No. 1 1974, that court or other officials appointed by the parents of the male and female can give dispensation to the minors to enter into marriage. Inconsistency Law 1 1974 about the age limit can be interpreted as accommodate marriage of underage marriage. Moreover, in Article 7 of the law as well as in his explanation did not mention the reasons that can be used as the basis of given dispensation, so that everyone can easily obtain it. Law's provision is very loose, but when viewed from various aspects, a lot of harm caused by the underage marriage, particularly for women.
