Marwah: Jurnal Perempuan, Agama dan Jender (Online ISSN 2407-1587 | Print ISSN 1412-6095) adalah jurnal yang diterbitkan oleh Pusat Studi Gender dan Anak pada Lembaga Penelitian dan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat Universitas Islam Negeri Sultan Syarif Kasim Riau. Jurnal ini sudah terbit sejak tahun 2002 dengan frekuensi dua kali dalam setahun, yaitu bulan Juni dan Desember. Marwah merupakan media komunikasi ilmiah antar peminat dan pemerhati kajian gender, perempuan dan Islam. Dengan tujuan mengangkat harkat dan martabat perempuan dan terpublikasinya bahan bacaan/rujukan tentang kajian-kajian perempuan.

Violence committed against the husband and wife both physically and psychologically is very difficult to disclose, because the data does not exist, and the problem is considered a private matter. But for example, in the case of nusyuz or wife against husband, there is a religious legitimacy (Alquran 4:34), for a husband to beat his wife on the grounds of disobedience wife. So widespread belief among Muslims arise, that the husband the right to beat his wife. When traced the context of the verse then beating is the last alternative for a husband whose wife nusyuz after mau'izah (give good advice and separate beds.) In fact, the concept of violence in the form of beatings should be avoided and not to be carried out because the Prophet Muhammad as a role model Muslims never do the beating of his wife.

Consumptive behavior today is a phenomenon that is prevalent in many societies. No exception career woman to do the job requires a supporting infrastructure. But in fulfilling these needs are often trapped in Consumptive behavior. The purpose of this study was to analyze the effect of educational level and income level of the Consumptive behavior of career women in the Provincial Government of Riau. This study uses multiple linear regression analysis. To determine the influence of independent variables on the dependent variable partially used t test, whereas to determine the effect of independent variables on the dependent variable simultaneously used F test research population is all women career civil servant status and positions in the Riau Provincial Government amounted to 365 people. While the number of samples using Slovin formula and obtained a sample of 78 people. Data obtained using questionnaires, analyzed with regression at α = 0:05. The results showed that simultaneous two variables level of education and income levels significantly influence Consumptive behavior with α significance level of 0.002. And a variable level of education is partially no effect on Consumptive behavior with α significance level of 0.632, while the variable income levels partially significant effect on Consumptive behavior with α significance level of 0.005.

This paper discusses the phenomenon of strengthening the culture of patriarchy that so long rooted in Islamic education process. In the process of education for example, are in the form of drawings in which the topic of haughty (arrogant) described a group of women who were talking about a woman who overbearing. That during this time the role of women have been cornered by misrepresents the moral values of Islam by scholars in part. This cornered position, has been so strong both the role of women in the political area, in terms of liberating education process, and in terms of interpretation and the hadiths of the Prophet Muhammad. Therefore, the emergence of gender bias in the interpretation of Islamic education came from scholars who tend to provide a significant opportunity for the defense of the masculine; among them is the issue of polygamy, inheritance of women, and women's leadership.

This paper discusses Islam views in women's education and career, by analyzing the verses and hadiths, and examine the history books can be concluded that Islam protects women's rights in education and a career. In the early development of Islam, women's education has not been made formally. It does not prevent Muslim women in his time became a reliable career women in their fields Among women who succeed in a career are Siti Khadijah, istreri Rasulllah. Thus, it can be said Islam does not prevent women to get an education and a career in accordance with the education obtained.

This paper will try to decipher some of the contemporary issues related to the root of the problem of gender bias in the study of Islam. Among the issues which form the basis of the emergence of gender bias in the study of Islam is the First, the issue of the creation of Eve in Sura al-Nisa verse 1. Second, the issue of leadership of women over men. Third, Woman and Sin Heritage. From this context, it can be understood that the teachings of Islam do not subscribe to the ideology that prohibits female lead, also bebrabai myth tentan creation of Eve. Because, it all would give a heavy burden on women. Like the myth of menstruating women as though he had not seen and treated as human beings, because in addition to be consigned should also perform various hard rituals.

Orangtua berperan dalam membantu anak mencapai hasil belajar yang baik dengan memberikan kasih sayang dan pendidikan melalui nilai kehidupandanbudaya. Penelitian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan perhatian orangtua yang berlatar belakang budaya Melayu dan Jawa, serta menguji perbedaan perhatian orangtua antarasiswa yang berlatar belakang budaya Melayu dan Jawa. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif jenis deskriptif dan komparatif. Populasi penelitian adalah siswa yang berlatar belakang budaya Melayu dan Jawa di SMPN 1 Siak Hulu sebanyak 399 siswa, sampel sebanyak 200 siswa, yang dipilih dengan rumus Slovin yang dilanjutkan dengan teknik simple random sampling. Data dianalisis dengan statistik deskriptif danMANOVA.Temuan penelitian memperlihatkan bahwa: perhatian orangtua yang berlatar belakang budaya Melayudan Jawa berada pada kategori bagus,sertatidak terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan perhatian orangtua antara siswa yang berlatar belakang budaya Melayu dan Jawa.

Penelitian ini mengungkap fenomena kekerasan perempuan dan anak di Indonesia. Pertanyaan penelitian yang ingin dijawab adalah (1) Bagaimana perlindungan preventif terhadap kekerasan perempuan dan anak dalam perspektif Hak Asasi Manusia ? (2) Bagaimana penegakkan hukum terhadap Kekerasan Perempuan dan anak dalam perspektif Hak Asasi Manusia ? Perlindungan hukum preventif ini diharapkan akan dapat menanggulangi bahkan mencegah kekerasan terhadap perempuan dan anak yang mana kekerasan tersebut adalah melangar Hak Asasi Manusia. Perlindungan preventif ini dilakukan dengan cara merevisi undang-undang terkait kekerasan perempuan dan anak, dan penanganan khusus kepada pemerintah terhadap korban kekerasan perempuan dan anak. Pnegakkan hukum pemerintah mengupayakan keadilan dan penyelesaian yang tuntas terhadap korban kekerasan ini baik yang diderita oleh perempuan dan anak. Tujuan penegakkan hukum, mewujudkan kepastian hukum bagi korban dan untuk mencegah terjadinya kekerasan terhadap perempuan dan anak. Hasil penelitian ini adalah dapat mengurangi kekerasan terhadap perempuan dan anak bahkan mencegah terjadinya hal-hal tersebut.

Umumnya, penelitian ini menyajikan beberapa apik fikih bias gender yang pengaruhnya terhadap perkembangan misionaris agama. Produk berbasis Fikih cenderung menghasilkan pemikiran yang bias. Al-Jabiri menyebutnya "bayani epistimologi" dan Syahrur menyebutnya al-Qira'ah al-mustabiddah. Beberapa bias gender ada pada ibadah, pernikahan, kepemimpinan publik, dan sebagainya. Semua pengaruh terhadap perkembangan misionaris religius karena tidak semua aktivitas misionaris memiliki kepekaan gender. Begitu. Sangat dibutuhkan untuk mengembangkan produk fikih, yang menjamin wanita dalam kondisi aman dan terlindungi yang membatasi kegiatan dan kreativitas mereka.

Various policies have been made to achieve gender equality still encountering many obstacles. The biggest obstacle lies in the understanding of the perception that men are superior and women identical to inferior. In other words, there is still a stereotype perception that is difficult to be shifted to establish gender equality. Similarly to the learning process in the classroom can not be separated from issues of gender. This condition can be anticipated by applying learning through the process of in-depth dialogue between genders using reveal-capture-effusive techniques. This study was conducted to determine the learning steps using reveal-capture-effusive techniques on social differentiation material and to determine the effect given from the learning process by using the reveal-capture-effusive techniques to minimizing gender stereotypes in the classroom. Learning undertaken consisting of measures in the form of a dialogue with each other and express their own gender advantages and assess the other gender advantages, gender case analysis and dialogue through the mass media, cases of gender analysis and dialogue in daily life, and gender dialogue with gender experts. By using the approach of classroom action research (PTK) with two cycles and research instruments such as observation, field notes, and tests found the results of research that learning by using reveal-capture-effusive techniques can minimize stereotypes between gender groups of male students and female students and increase students’ test results. Observations in the classroom to the indicator of the ability of students to listen to opposing gender argued a number of 12 students (43%) are in a good range in cycle 1 increased to 24 students (86%) in cycle 2. For indicator positive response to expressions of gender opponent shows that the number of 8 students (29%) are in a good range in the first cycle and increased to 22 students (79%) in second cycle. The results of written tests conducted in each cycle showed an increase from an average of 76.5 to an average of 80.1. Implementation of the reveal-capture-effusive techniques can be an alternative out pouring of learning that can appreciate the differences in the group through the process of in-depth dialogue.

Within the Melayu Community, myths or strong traditional belief about pregnant woman is still practiced despite questionable. This study aims: (1) to seek the appreciation of pregnant women in the myths; (2) to interpret the educational value of myths; and (3) to design the educational pattern for pregnant woman's health. This study conducted in the village of Kotobaru, Regency of Kuantan Singingi. The data is gathered mainly from pregnant women (including women with toddler). Observation, documentation, and in-depth interview techniques are used to collect data; while the design of educational patterns is gathered through the focus group discussions. Its process involves professionals in health, education, and community development. The data is then analyzed with interactive analysis techniques. The study found some forms of myths that is still practiced among Melayu community. In addition we found that all the traditional belief or myths can be interpreted broadly to include psychological aspects, health, socio-cultural, and education. Patterns of health education of pregnant women is constructed in the basis of the Community Based Education (CBE) approach, supported by health and religious institutions.
