Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan multimedia pembelajaran trigonometri menggunakan ADOBE FLASH CS3 untuk pembelajaran matematika siswa SMA kelas X semester II dan mengetahui kelayakan produk multimedia dari aspek kevalidan, kepraktisan, dan keefektifan untuk pembelajaran matematika di SMA Kelas X Semester II. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pengembangan multimedia pembelajaran matematika menggunakan model pengembangan Borg dan Gall yang dilaksanakan melalui tiga tahapan yaitu: pertama, pendahuluan yaitu studi pustaka dan studi lapangan; kedua, pengembangan yaitu perencanaan dan pengembangan produk awal; dan ketiga, uji lapangan yaitu uji pengembangan terbatas, uji coba kelompok kecil, dan uji coba lapangan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa multimedia yang dihasilkan dalam pengembangan multimedia pembelajaran matematika trigonometri adalah baik dilihat dari aspek kevalidan, kepraktisan, dan keefektifan suatu multimedia pembelajaran.Kata Kunci: pengembangan multimedia pembelajaran matematika, adobe flas CS3, trigonometri Developing an Trigonometry Multimedia Instruction Using Adobe Flash CS3 for SMA Student AbstractThis research aims to develop trigonometry multimedia intruction using ADOBE FLASH CS3 for the teaching of mathematics on the semester II class X of SMA and reveal the feasibility of the product in the aspects of validity, practicality and effectiveness aspec. This research is development research use Borg and Gall development models, conducted through three phases: first, introduction that included the study of literature and field studies; second, development that included the planning and development of the initial product; trird, field testing which included a limited development testing, a small group testing, and field trials. The result of research indicating that resulted in the development of multimedia learning multimedia math Trigonometry is good seen from the aspect of validity, practicality, and effectiveness of a multimedia learning.Keywords: development mathematics multimedia instruction, adobe flash CS3, trigonometry

Abstract

Penelitian pengembangan ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan Rencana Pelaksanaan Pembelajaran (RPP) dan Lembar Kegiatan Siswa (LKS) yang valid, praktis dan efektif. RPP yang dikembangkan memuat sintaks PMRI, yaitu memahami masalah kontekstual, mendeskripsikan masalah kontekstual, menyelesaikan masalah kontekstual, membandingkan dan mendiskusikan jawaban, dan menyimpulkan. LKS yang dikembangkan memfasilitasi kemampuan representasi matematis siswa, yaitu kemampuan mengungkapkan verbal ke simbol, simbol ke visual, dan verbal ke visual. Hasil validasi para ahli menyatakan bahwa produk yang dikembangkan mencapai kategori valid. Hasil pengisian angket penilaian kepraktisan oleh guru menunjukkan bahwa produk yang dikembangkan mencapai kategori praktis, hasil pengisian angket penilaian kepraktisan oleh siswa menunjukkan bahwa produk yang dikembangkan mencapai kategori praktis, dan hasil observasi keterlaksanaan pembelajaran menunjukkan bahwa persentase keterlaksanaan pembelajaran adalah 88,89%. Keefektifan produk terlihat dari hasil kemampuan representasi matematis (KRM). Hasil KRM menunjukkan persentase siswa yang mencapai KKM adalah 76,67% dengan nilai rata-sata 77,67% Secara keseluruhan hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa perangkat pembelajaran yang dikembangkan adalah layak untuk digunakan.Kata Kunci: pengembangan, perangkat pembelajaran, PMRI, kemampuan representasi matematis. Developing a Mathematic Learning Device with PMRI Approach Oriented on Mathematical Representation AbilityAbstract This development research was aimed to produce the lesson plan (RPP) and the worksheet (LKS) are valid, practical , and effective. RPP was developed contain PMRI syntax, ie understanding the contextual problems, describing the contextual problems, solving the contextual problems, comparing and discussing the answers, and concluding. LKS was developed facilitate the mathematical representation ability, ie expressing the verbal to symbol, the symbol to the visual, and the verbal to visual.  The validaty of product can be seen from the results of experts validation which demonstrates that the product is valid. The practicality of product can be seen from the result of the teacher practicality assessment sheet which shows that the product is in a practical category, the result of the students assessment sheet shows that the product is in a practical categories, learning implementation observation shows that the minimum implementation percentage is 88.89% and maximum is 100%. The effectiveness of the product can be seen from the results of mathematical representation ability test. The result of mathematical representation test shows that percentage of students who reach the KKM is 76.67% with a mean value of 77.67%. Overall the results of this study show that the developed learning tools are feasibel to use.Keywords: development, learning tool, PMRI, mathematical representation ability.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan keefektifan pembelajaran matematika dengan menggunakan Problem Based Learning (PBL) berseting Team Group Tournament (TGT) dan PBL berseting Group Investigation (GI), serta membandingkan keefektifan pembelajaran PBL berseting TGT dan PBL berseting GI ditinjau dari prestasi belajar, kemampuan berpikir kreatif, dan toleransi siswa SMP. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimen semu dengan desain pretest-posttest non-equivalent comparison-group design. Populasi penelitian mencakup seluruh siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 1 Sleman Yogyakarta yang terdiri atas tujuh kelas, yang dua kelas sebagai sampel acak. Untuk menguji keefektifan pembelajaran, digunakan uji one sample t-test. Selanjutnya, untuk membandingkan keefektifan pembelajaran, data dianalisis secara multivariat menggunakan uji T2 Hotteling’s. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pembelajaran matematika menggunakan PBL berseting TGT dan PBL berseting GI efektif ditinjau dari prestasi belajar siswa, kemampuan berpikir kreatif, dan toleransi siswa, dan tidak ada perbedaan antara keduanya.Kata Kunci: pendekatan PBL berseting TGT, pendekatan PBL berseting GI, prestasi belajar, kemampuan berpikir kreatif, toleransi siswa The Comparison of the Effectiveness of TGT-Set and GI-Set PBL in Terms of Mathematics Learning Achievement, Creative Thinking Ability and Tolerance AbstractThis research aimed to describe the effectiveness of teaching mathematics by using the Problem Based Learning (PBL) setting Team Group Tournament (TGT) and PBL with Group Investigation (GI), and as well as compare the effectiveness of PBL setting TGT and PBL setting GI in terms of mathematics learning achievement, creative thinking ability, and tolerance of junior high school students. This research was a quasi-experimental research with pretest-posttest non-equivalent comparison-group design. The research population includes all students of 8th grade SMPN 1 Sleman Yogyakarta which consists of seven classes. From the population, two classes were randomly selected as the research sample. To test the effectiveness, one sample t-test was used. Furthermore, to compare the effectiveness of teaching, the data were analyzed using a multivariate test of the T2 Hotteling’s. The results showed that the teaching process of mathematics using the TGT-set and GI-set PBL is effective in terms of mathematics learning achievement, creative thinking ability, and tolerance of junior high school students and there is no difference between the two.Keywords: TGT-set PBL, GI-set PBL, mathematics learning achievement, creative thingking ability, tolerance of students

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peningkatan kemampuan pemahaman matematis siswa setelah dilakukan pembelajaran dengan menggunakan pendekatan Students Teams Achievement Divisons (STAD). Jenis penelitian yang dilakukan adalah pre-experimental dengan bentuk One Group Pretest-Posttest Design. Subjek penelitian adalah salah satu kelas dari sebuah instansi di daerah Tangerang yang teridi dari 17 siswa. Instrumen penelitian meliputi tes pemahaman matematis dan pedoman wawancara. Pokok bahasan yang menjadi bahasan dalam penelitian ini adalah materi perbandingan senilai. Data dari hasil penelitian dianalisis secara kuantitatif-deskriptif. Peningkatan kemampuan pemahaman matematis dilihat dari perhitungan N Gain dan hasil wawancara dijelaskan secara deskriptif. Berdasarkan data yang diperoleh dari penelitian, perolehan rata-rata kriteria N Gain adalah 0,69 (sedang). Kemudian, dari hasil wawancara secara terbuka terhadap sampel, respon siswa yang didapat cukup baik dilihat dari antusias ketika mengikuti pembelajaran maupun respon secara terbuka. Berdasarkan hasil tes terlihat adanya peningkatan kemampuan pemahaman matematis siwa setelah diterapkan pendekatan pembelajaran STAD.Kata Kunci: kemampuan pemahaman matematis, perbandingan senilai, students teams achievement division Improved Mathematical Understanding Through Students Teams Achievement Divisons (STAD) Learning Approach AbstractThis study aimed to determine the increase in the ability of students' mathematical understanding after learning by using Students Teams Achievement Divisons (STAD) approach. This research was pre-experimental with form one group pretest-posttest design. The subjects of research were one of the classes of an institution in the Tangerang area consisting of 17 students. Research instruments include mathematical comprehension test and interview guides. The subject matter of the discussion in this study was worth comparison material. Data from the study were analyzed quantitatively-descriptive. Improving the ability of understanding mathematical seen from the calculation N Gain and interviews described in descriptive. Based on data obtained from the study, the average acquisition criteria N Gain was 0.69 (medium). Then, from the interviews are open to sample student responses obtained fairly good views of enthusiastic when following the study and response publicly. Based on the results of test seen an increase in students' mathematical understanding abilities after learning approach applied STAD.Keywords: mathematical understanding ability, comparison worth, students teams achievement division.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan pengaruh pendekatan problem posing dan pendekatan problem-based learning; dan untuk mengetahui mana yang lebih baik antara pendekatan problem posing dan pendekatan problem-based learning ditinjau dari prestasi belajar, dan motivasi belajar mahasiswa Program Studi Pendidikan Matematika FKIP Universitas Dayanu Ikhsanuddin Baubau. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimen semu dengan desain pretest-posttest non-equivalent comparison-group design. Populasi penelitian mencakup seluruh mahasiswa pendidikan matematika Universitas Dayanu Ikhsanuddin Baubau yang mengambil mata kuliah Kalkulus II. Instrumen penelitian meliputi tes prestasi belajar, dan angket motivasi. Analisis yang digunakan, yaitu uji one sample t-test, T2 Hotteling’s, dan uji independent sample t-test dengan data gain ternormalisasi. Setiap analisis dilakukan pada taraf signifikansi 5%. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan: (1) pendekatan problem posing dan pendekatan PBL berpengaruh positif terhadap prestasi belajar mahasiswa; (2) pendekatan problem posing tidak berpengaruh terhadap motivasi belajar mahasiswa sedangkan pendekatan PBL berpengaruh terhadap motivasi belajar mahasiswa; (3) pendekatan problem posing sama baiknya dengan pendekatan PBL ditinjau dari prestasi belajar mahasiswa; dan (4) pendekatan PBL lebih baik dibandingkan dengan pendekatan problem posing ditinjau dari motivasi belajar mahasiswa.Kata Kunci: pendekatan problem posing, problem-based learning, prestasi belajar, motivasi belajar mahasiswa. The Effect Problem Posing and PBL on Learning Achievement, and Learning Motivation Students Mathematics Education AbstractThis study aims is to  describe the effect of problem posing and problem-based learning; and to knowing the better approach between problem posing approach and problem-based learning approach viewed from the learning achievement, and learning motivation of the students of mathematics Education Department of Dayanu Ikhsanuddin University of Baubau. This research was a quasi-experimental study with the pretest-posttest non-equivalent comparison-group design. The population included all students of Mathematics Education Department who took Calculus II. The instrument used including an achievement test, and motivation questionnaire. The test was analyzed by One sample t-test, T2 Hottelling’s and independent sample t-test with gain data normalized each analysis was performed at the significance level of 0.05.The research found: (1) the problem posing approach and PBL approach positive effect the learning achievement; (2) PBL approach affect student’s learning motivation while the problem posing does not; (3) the problem posing approach is equal good to PBL approach in achieving the learning objective; and (4) the problem-based learning approach is better than the problem posing approach viewed from student’s learning motivation.Keywords: problem posing approach, problem-based learning, learning objective achievement, student’s learning motivation.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan letak, jenis, faktor-faktor kesulitan, dan self-efficacy siswa SMP swasta di Kabupaten Sleman, DIY dalam memecahkan masalah matematika berbentuk soal cerita. Penelitian ini termasuk penelitian survei dengan pendekatan kuantitatif dan kualitatif. Subjek penelitian adalah 124 siswa SMP swasta di Kabupaten Sleman, DIY yang berasal dari empat sekolah dengan kategori tinggi, sedang, dan rendah. Sampel penelitian ditentukan dengan stratified proportional random sampling technique. Instrumen yang digunakan berupa tes diagnostik terdiri atas 5 butir soal, angket self-efficacy, dan pedoman wawancara. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kesulitan siswa dalam pemecahan masalah matematika berbentuk soal cerita terletak pada pengetahuan faktual, pengetahuan konseptual, pengetahuan prosedural, dan pengetahuan metakognitif. Jenis kesulitan yang dialami siswa yaitu pada mengingat fakta, mengingat konsep, memahami fakta, memahami konsep, menerapkan konsep, menerapkan prosedur, menganalisis prosedur, mengevaluasi faktual, mengevaluasi konsep, mengevaluasi prosedur, dan mengomunikasikan metakognitif. Faktor-faktor kesulitan yang dialami siswa SMP dalam memecahkan masalah matematika berbentuk soal cerita kelas VIII yaitu siswa merasa waktu yang diberikan tidak cukup, mudah menyerah, kurang teliti, sering lupa, merasa cemas, dan siswa tergesa-gesa untuk mengerjakan soal. Self-efficacy dari 124 siswa berada dalam kategori tinggi dengan rata-rata sebesar 90,4.Kata Kunci: analisis kesulitan siswa, self-efficacy, pemecahan masalah matematika, soal cerita An Analysis of Difficulties and Self-Efficacy of Junior High School Students in Solving Story Form Mathematical Problems AbstractThis research aimed to describe the positions, types, difficulty factors, and self-efficacy of junior high school students in Sleman, DIY in solving story form mathematical problems. This study was survey research using the quantitative and kualitative approach. The subjects of this research were 124 students of private junior high schools in Sleman, DIY, which were from four different school groups in the high, middle, and low categories. The sample was established using the stratified proportional random sampling technique. The instruments which were used namely diagnostic test that consisted of 5 items, self-efficacy questionnaire, and interview guides. The results indicate that students’ difficulties in solving story form mathematical problems lie on factual knowledge, conceptual knowledge, procedural knowledge, and metacognitive knowledge. The types of difficulties experienced by students include remembering fact, remembering concept, understanding facts, understanding concept, applying concept, applying procedure, analyzing procedure, evaluating fact, evaluating concept, evaluating procedure, and communicating metacognitive. Difficulty factors that grade VIII students experience in solving story form mathematical problems include: students feel that the time given is not enough, easily give up, are not meticulous enough, oftenly forget, and are anxious and impatient while solving the problems. The self-efficacy of 124 students can be categorized as high with an average score of 90.4.Keywords: analysis of students’ difficulties, self-efficacy, mathematics problem solving, story problem.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah menghasilkan perangkat pembelajaran statistika dan peluang untuk siswa SMA kelas X semester 2 dengan metode penemuan terbimbing yang terdiri atas RPP, LKS, dan instrumen penilaian yang memenuhi kriteria valid, praktis, dan efektif. Model pengembangan dalam penelitian ini adalah model 4D, terdiri atas tahap pendefinisian, perancangan, pengembangan, dan penyebaran. Analisis data kevalidan dan kepraktisan dilakukan dengan cara mengkonversi data kuantitatif berupa skor hasil penilaian menjadi data kualitatif skala lima. Analisis data keefektifan dilakukan dengan cara menentukan persentase ketuntasan belajar siswa berdasarkan hasil tes dan angket. Hasil validasi menunjukkan bahwa RPP yang dikembangkan memperoleh kategori baik, sedangkan LKS dan instrumen penilaian yang dikembangkan mencapai kategori sangat baik. Hasil observasi keterlaksanaan pembelajaran menunjukkan bahwa keterlaksanaan pembelajaran statisika mencapai 94,12% sedangkan peluang mencapai 84,29%. Berdasarkan hasil tes dan angket, perangkat pembelajaran termasuk dalam kriteria efektif.Kata Kunci: perangkat pembelajaran, penemuan terbimbing, statistika, peluang. Developing Statistics and Probability Teaching Kit with Guided Discovery Learning Method Oriented to Curriculum 2013 for Grade X AbstractThis research aimed to produce statistics and probability teaching kit for grade X students of Senior High School in 2nd semester with guided discovery learning consist of lesson plans, student worksheets, and assessment instruments which valid, practical, and effective. The developing model in this research was 4D model consist of define, design, develop, and disseminate. Validity and practicality were analyzed by converting the actual scores obtained into five scales of qualitative data. Effectiveness analyzed by determining the percentage of students’ completeness in a test and in the questionnaires. Validation result shows that the lesson plans have good category, the student worksheet and the assessment instrument have very good categories. The result of the application shows that the statistics application was 94,12% than the probability application was 84,29%. Based on the test and questionnaires result, the teaching kit was in effective term.Keywords: teaching kit, guided discovery, statistics, probability

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan produk berupa perangkat pembelajaran bangun ruang SMP dengan pendekatan pendidikan matematika realistik yang valid, praktis, dan efektif ditinjau dari ketercapaian kompetensi dasar, kemampuan koneksi matematis, dan minat terhadap matematika. Jenis penelitian adalah penelitian pengembangan menggunakan model 4-D yang terdiri atas empat tahap yaitu tahap pendefinisian, perancangan, pengembangan, dan tahap penyebaran. Hasil penelitian berupa perangkat pembelajaran bangun ruang yang terdiri dari silabus, RPP, LKS, dan tes hasil belajar berupa tes ketercapaian kompetensi dasar (TKKD) dan tes kemampuan koneksi matematis (TKKM) yang valid, praktis, dan efektif. Kevalidan perangkat mencapai kategori sangat baik ditinjau dari penilaian ahli. Kepraktisan perangkat mencapai kategori sangat baik ditinjau dari penilaian guru, penilaian siswa, dan observasi keterlaksanaan pembelajaran. Aspek keefektifan dipenuhi dari tercapainya minimal 80% siswa lulus KKM ditinjau dari ketercapaian kompetensi dasar dan kemampuan koneksi matematis, serta lebih dari 80% siswa mempunyai minat terhadap matematika dalam kategori minimal baik.Kata Kunci: pengembangan, perangkat pembelajaran, pendekatan pendidikan matematika realistik, bangun ruang SMP Developing Space Learning Kit in Junior High School with Realistic Mathematics Education Approach AbstractThis research aimed to produce space learning kits with realistic mathematics education approach in Junior High School which valid, practical, and effective viewed from achievement of basic competence, mathematical connection ability, and mathematics interest. This research was development research used 4-D model that consisted of four phases: defining, designing, developing, and  disseminating. This research produced space learning kit that consisted of syllabus, lesson plans, students’ worksheets, and assessment tests that included test of basic competence achievement and mathematical connection test which valid, practical, and effective. The validity of learning kit get very good category from expert assessment. The practicallity of learning kit get very good category from teachers assessment, students assessment, and observation of learning implementation. The aspect of effectiveness was seen from achievement minimum 80% of the student pass the minimum score for achievement of basic competence and mathematical connection skill, and more than 80% of student have mathematics interest in least good category.Keywords: development, learning kit, realistic mathematics education, space
