Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine effectivity of using TGT model to increase activity and mastery of the human circulatory system. The design used was a pretest-posttest non-equivalent. The samples were students of XI IPA 1 and XI IPA 2 taken by cluster random sampling. Qualitative data taken from student activity and responses using TGT. Quantitative data obtained from the average value of the pretest, posttest and N-gain. The results showed all aspects of student learning activities increase (49.96%). Mastery of the material also increased in pretest (30%), posttest (71%) and N -Gain (59%). Students also give positive responses. Based on the results obtained from this study that: (1) The use of cooperative learning model type TGT effective in increasing student activity and mastery of the material in the human circulatory system, class XI Science High School N 13 Bandar Lampung, (2) The use of cooperative learning model types TGT able to increase the students activities in the subject matter of the human circulatory system, (3) Most of the students gave a positive response of using cooperative learning model type TGT on the subject matter in the human circulatory system. Abstract

This research was aimed to know the influence of using leaflet with discovery method in improving student learning activity and material mastery. The research design was pretest-posttest non equivalent group. The research samples were VIIA and VIIB was chosen by cluster random sampling. The qualitative data were gotten by student learning activity observation sheet and student responses questionnaire, that were analyzed descriptively. The quantitative data was the test value average, that was analyzed by U-test. The result showed that the learning activity average improved by good criteria (83,33) with each percentage were work in teams (92,16), discussions (82,35), and presenting of discussion (75,49). The material mastery improve with N-gain average score (50,64). The most of student also responded positively to the leaflet with discovery method. Thus, the using of leaflet with discovery method was influenced to improve the student learning activity and material mastery of ecosystem.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan bahan ajar leaflet dengan metode discovery dalam meningkatkan aktivitas belajar dan penguasaan materi oleh siswa. Desain penelitian adalah pretes-postes kelompok tak ekuivalen. Sampel penelitian adalah siswa kelas VIIA dan VIIB yang dipilih dengan teknik cluster random sampling. Data kualitatif diperoleh dari lembar observasi aktivitas belajar dan angket tanggapan siswa yang dianalisis secara deskriptif. Data kuantitatif berupa rata-rata nilai tes yang dianalisis dengan uji-U. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa rata-rata aktivitas belajar meningkat dengan kriteria baik (83,33), dengan persentase masing-masing yaitu bekerjasama dalam kelompok (92,16), melakukan diskusi (82,35), dan mempresentasikan hasil diskusi (75,49). Penguasaan materi meningkat dengan rata-rata N-gain (50,64). Sebagian besar siswa juga memberikan tanggapan positif terhadap penggunaan bahan ajar leaflet dengan metode discovery. Dengan demikian, penggunaan bahan ajar leaflet dengan metode discovery berpengaruh dalam meningkatkan aktivitas belajar dan penguasaan materi pokok ekosistem. Kata kunci :    aktivitas siswa, leaflet, ekosistem, metode discovery, penguasaan materi

Abstract

This research aimed to determine the effectiveness of slide power point media learning on students learning outcomes. The design was pretest-posttest non-equivalent group. Cluster random sampling was used choosing class X1 and X2 as subjects. The quantitative data were obtained from pretest and posttest values that analyzed by gain comparison, while the qualitative data was obtained from student learning activity that were analyzed descriptively. The results show that the using of slide power point was effective to increase students learning outcomes (gain 0,61), average of students ability from each indicator that was observed had increased with high criteria. Whereas average of student learning activity in all aspects had medium criteria (74,71). Thus, it can be concluded that slide power point media can increased students learning outcomes and student learning activities on vertebrata subject matter.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas media slide power point pembelajaran terhadap hasil belajar siswa. Desain penelitian adalah desain pretes-postes kelompok non equivalen. Teknik claster random sampling digunakan dalam memilih kelas X1 dan X2 sebagai subjek. Data kuantitatif diperoleh dari nilai pretes dan postes yang dianalisis dengan perbandingan gain, sedangkan data kualitatif berupa data aktivitas belajar siswa yang dianalisis secara deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan media slide power point efektif dalam meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa (gain 0,61), kemampuan siswa dari tiap indikator hasil belajar yang diamati memilki rata-rata peningkatan dengan kriteria tinggi (75,5). Sedangkan rata-rata aktivitas belajar siswa di setiap aspek memiliki kriteria sedang (74,71). Dengan demikian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa penggunaan media slide power point dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar dan aktivitas belajar siswa pada sub materi vertebrata.Kata kunci : efektivitas pembelajaran, hasil belajar, mediaslide power point, vertebrata

Abstract

This study was aim to compare of STAD model and Jigsaw of learning activities and mastery of materials the student. This study design was pretest-posttest non equivalent group. Samples were VIIA  and VIIB, chosen by purposive sampling. This research data the form of quantitative which obtained from the average value of test were analyzed by using t-test and U-test and qualitative data which obtained form the observation sheet of learning activities and questionnaire responses of students were analyzed descriptive. The results showed that the use of STAD model and Jigsaw was improve mastery of materials by students, but Jigsaw model (N-gain 68.94) was higher and significantly different than STAD (N-gain 59.17). Learning activities student was also improve with average 82 (Jigsaw) and 73 (STAD). Most students responded positively to use of STAD model and Jigsaw.Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui perbandingan model STAD dan Jigsaw terhadap aktivitas belajar dan penguasaan materi siswa. Desain penelitian pretest-posttest kelompok non-equivalen. Sampel penelitian siswa kelas VIIA dan VIIC, dipilih secara purposive sampling. Data penelitian berupa data kuantitatif yang diperoleh dari rata-rata nilai tes yang dianalisis menggunakan uji-t dan uji-U dan data kualitatif yang diperoleh dari lembar observasi aktivitas belajar dan angket tanggapan siswa yang dianalisis secara deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan penggunaan model STAD dan Jigsaw dapat meningkatkan penguasaan materi oleh siswa, namun penggunaan model Jigsaw (N-gain 68,94) lebih tinggi dan berbeda nyata dibandingkan STAD (N-gain 59,17). Abstract

This study was aim the influence of word square through NHT model to increase the activity and material mastery of students. This study design were pretest-postest non-equivalent group. The samples were VIIC and VIID selected by cluster random sampling. The data were quantitative and qualitative form. Qualitative data were the descriptions of activities and students questionnaire responses. Quantitative data was the average value of test were analyzed  using t-test and U test. The results showed that the activity of working together, giving opinion, giving question, listening discussion, and answering question improved. Material mastery of students was also improve with average N-gain 52,41.  So, the word square through NHT model was given influence in increasing the activity and material mastery of students. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh LKS berbantukan word square melalui model NHT terhadap aktivitas dan penguasaan materi siswa. Desain penelitian adalah pretes postes kelompok tak ekuivalen.  Sampel penelitian adalah siswa kelas VIIC dan VIID yang dipilih secara cluster random sampling.  Data penelitian berupa data kualitatif dan kuantitatif. Data kualitatif berupa deskripsi aktivitas dan angket tanggapan siswa. Data kuantitatif diperoleh dari rata-rata nilai tes yang dianalisis menggunakan uji-t dan uji U. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa aktivitas bekerjasama, mengajukan pendapat, mengajukan pertanyaan, mendengarkan diskusi dan menjawab pertanyaan mengalami peningkatan. Penguasaan materi siswa juga mengalami peningkatan, dengan rata-rata nilai N-gain sebesar 52,41. Jadi, pembelajaran menggunakan LKS berbantukan word square melalui model NHT dapat meningkatkan aktivitas dan penguasaan materi siswa. Kata kunci: aktivitas, LKS berbantukan word square, model NHT, dan penguasaan materi.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the profile of Biology Education, University of Lampung students in preparing worksheets. The research design was simple descriptive with a purposive sampling technique so those 14 students participating in PPL year 2013 which made Biology worksheets taken as subject. Types of data were qualitative such as data conversion worksheets assessment scores, questionnaires, and competency tests. The results showed that students capable enough to make Biology worksheet in terms of format (69.73) and contents (50.45). In terms of format, the composition aspect was categorized enough (49.69), categorized excellent on legibility (92.85) and the categorized good on attractiveness (66.67). In terms of content, categorized either (73.81) in developing appropriate activities and lesson plans, categorized less on elementary Science Process Skills (29.76), and sufficient on advanced Science Process Skills (50,00). Then the students's understanding of the worksheets preparation according to the rules were categorized enough (52.87 and 44.44). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui profil mahasiswa Pendidikan Biologi Universitas Lampung dalam menyusun LKS. Desain penelitian adalah deskriptif sederhana dengan teknik purposive sampling sehingga 14 orang mahasiswa peserta PPL tahun 2013 yang membuat LKS diambil sebagai subjek. Jenis data berupa data kualitatif dari konversi skor penilaian LKS, angket, dan uji kompetensi. Hasil menunjukan mahasiswa berkemampuan cukup dalam membuat LKS Biologi ditinjau dari segi format (69,73) dan isi (50,45). Dari segi format, aspek susunan berkategori cukup (49,69), sangat baik pada keterbacaan (92,85) dan berkategori baik pada kemenarikan (66,67). Dari segi isi, berkategori baik (73,81) dalam menyusun kegiatan yang sesuai dengan KD dan RPP, kurang untuk Keterampilan Proses Sains dasar (29,76), dan cukup untuk Keterampilan Proses Sains lanjut (50,00). Pemahaman mahasiswa mengenai penyusunan LKS sesuai kaidah berkategori cukup (52,87 dan 44,44). Kata kunci : kemampuan, LKS biologi, mahasiswa pendidikan biologi

Abstract

The result of observation and interview with biology teacher in class X of SMAN 1 Pagar Dewa, were found out the output of students have already lowered. This is caused by teachers that using inappropriate learning model. This research aim to understand of activity progress of study also mastery of concept the student by means of application of model learning process of TAI. This study is experimental kuasi with pretest, posttest design of group non-equivalent. The sample of research are students of class X5 and X6 that were chosen by cluster random sampling. The result of study shown that the student activity in every aspects were observed in the experiment class has already increased. The aspect of question has grade 87,5%, the aspect of answer the question is 90,28%, and the aspect to express of ides is 84,72%. Mastery of the concept also increasing, on the average of grades pretest 45, the grades of posttest is 67 and   N-gain is 0,39. In short, learning process by using model of TAI may increasing the activities of studying and mastery of the concept of student. Key words : TAI, activities of studying and mastery of the concept of student.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of clover plants in bioremediation of wastewater out of the seed survival of African catfish at LC 50-96 hours. The parameters measured were survival factors catfish and chemical physics (BOD, COD, pH, and temperature) before and after bioremediation. Data  analyzed using the probit method. Research design using a completely randomized design.The treatment consisted of five variations of clover plant biomass, namely: 0 g (control), 400 g, 300 g, g, 200 g, 100 g, with 3 replications, while the waste volume was 10 liters respectively with actual treatment at a concentration of 50% for each treatment.The results showed that biomass was approaching LC 50-96 h at 292 885 g.The result of the research applied  in schools in the form of worksheets and tested with students' questionnaire responses, where the test results of the questionnaire 96% of students responded positively to the lab Bioremediation using clover.Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh bioremediasi tumbuhan Semanggi pada limbah cair tahu terhadap kelulushidupan benih ikan lele dumbo pada LC 50-96 jam. Parameter yang diamati adalah kelulushidupan ikan lele dan faktor fisika kimia (BOD,COD, pH,dan Suhu) sebelum dan sesudah bioremediasi. Data dianalisis  menggunakan metode probit. Rancangan penelitian menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap. Perlakuan terdiri dari lima variasi biomassa tumbuhan semanggi, yaitu: 0 g (kontrol), 400 g, 300 g,  g, 200 g,  100 g,  dengan 3 kali pengulangan, sedangkan volume limbah adalah masing-masing 10 liter  dengan perlakuan sesungguhnya pada konsentrasi 50% untuk tiap perlakuan.  Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa biomassa yang mendekati LC 50- 96 jam pada biomassa 292.885 g.Hasil penelitian diaplikasikan disekolah dalam bentuk LKS dan diuji dengan angket tanggapan siswa,dimana dalam hasil uji angket 96 % siswa positif tanggapanya terhadap praktikum Bioremediasi menggunakan semanggi.Kata kunci: bioremediasi, kelulushidupan, lele dumbo, limbah cair tahu, semanggi

Abstract

Based on observationin SMAN 3 Kotabumi, student’s critical thinking skill were not optimally developed. Alternative that can be used is picture card media through STAD learning model. This experiment aims to know the improvement of student’s critical thinking skill. This is quasi experiment using pretest posttest group non equivalent design. Sample are students from X3 and X4which selected from population by cluster random sampling method. Quantitative data from the average of pretest, posttest and N-gain which statistically analyzed with t-test using SPSS 17. Qualitative data are student’s critical thinking skill description, learning activities and student’s response about using picture card through STAD model which descriptively analyzed. Result of this experiment showed that student’s critical thinking skill improved significantly in giving reason (48,07%), reconstructing argument (54,28%) and looking for similarity and difference (42,73%). The student’s learning activities in all observed aspects is improved.  Student’s activities in teamwork (89,22%), doing discussion (86,27%) and presenting group discussion result (84,31%). The students also give positive response about usingpicture card through STAD model. So, student’s critical thinking skill improved significantly by using picture card through STAD learning model.   Keywords:  picture card media, STAD learning model, critical thinking skill, Protista

Abstract

Practicum is one vehicle for learning science in the implementation of the curriculum in 2013. Teacher as a model to be able to carry out practical activities. The purpose of this study was to determine the ability of junior high school science teachers in Bandar Lampung to conduct laboratory activities. The research sample were 69 junior high school science teacher in Bandar Lampung. The analysis used is descriptive analysis. The results showed that in general the average 51.7% of teachers have not been able correspondent practicum activities correctly, with details of 65% has not been able to test the activities of food substances; 29% have not been able to perform photosynthesis activity; 62% have not been able to carry out practical activities respiration test. Thus, it can be conluded that the ability of junior high school science teachers in Bandar Lampung on carrying out practical activities are still low catagorize.Kegiatan praktikum merupakan salah satu wahana pembelajaran IPA dalam implementasi kurikulum 2013. Guru sebagai model harus mampu dalam melakukan kegiatan praktikum. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui kemampuan guru-guru IPA SMP se-Bandar Lampung dalam melakukan kegiatan praktikum. Sampel penelitian ini adalah 69 orang guru IPA SMP se-Bandar Lampung. Analisa yang digunakan menggunakan analisis deskriptif. Hasil Penelitian menunjukan bahwa secara umum rata-rata 51,7% koresponden guru belum mampu melakukan kegiatan praktikum dengan benar. Dengan rincian 65% belum mampu melakukan kegiatan uji kandungan zat makanan; 29% belum mampu melakukan kegiatan fotosintesis; 62% belum mampu melaksanakan kegiatan praktikum uji respirasi. Dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan bahwa kemampuan guru-guru IPA SMP se-Bandar Lampung dalam melaksanakan kegiatan praktikum masih berkatagori rendah.Kata kunci: guru IPA, praktikum, uji fotosintesis, uji kandungan zat makanan, uji respirasi
