This study aims to determine whether or not the influence of problem solving abilities is reviewed with the learning style of mathematics education students. Data collection techniques used are questionnaires and documentation. Questionnaire method is used in learning style, while documentation method is semester test result. The sample in this research is students of mathematics semester IV and VI of Balikpapan University. Based on the results of data processing obtained conclusion there is no average difference between visual learning style, auditorial learning style, and kinesthetic learning style, so there is no effect of problem-solving abilities reviewed with the learning style of students of mathematics education University of Balikpapan. This is evident from Fobs < F0,05; 2;47 or 0.2064 < 3.1951 so that H0 is accepted. Seen from the average of learners who have kinesthetic learning style is greater than learners who have auditorial and visual learning styles.

Each teacher is required to have pedagogic, personality, professional, and social competence. Professional competence refers to the ability of mastery of learning materials widely and deeply that enables to guide learners meet the established competency standards. Based on this, every mathematics teacher candidate must have good mastery of school mathematic materials. This study aims to determine the profile of mastery of school mathematics materials students of mathematics education program semester VI. It is important to know the readiness of students to become professional math teachers. This research is a descriptive research. The study sample consisted of 2 classes with 48 students. Data collected through the test. The test results were analyzed using descriptive statistics. The results showed that the mastery of mathematics materials of students school semester VI is very low at 22.5%. This indicates that students as math teacher candidates do not have professional competence. The results of this study is expected to be a source of information for stakeholders to develop learning and curriculum that are able to prepare students who are competent in mastery of school mathematics materials

The aims of this research are to determine the effectiveness of cooperative learning by using modules. The type of this research is quantitative research by descriptive method. This research consisting of experiment class and control class. Students in the experimental class are taught by applying cooperative learning using modules while students in control classes are taught by applying conventional learning without modules. The results suggest that cooperative learning using modules is effective. This can be seen from the average percentage of the students minimum achievement in the control class is 54.92% while in the experimental class is 73.17%. Student activity in the experimental class is excellent with an average score is 4.05 whereas in the control class is good with an average score is 3.7. The ability of teachers in managing learning in the experimental class is very good with an average score is 4.66 whereas in the control class is good with the average score is 4. Thus cooperative learning using the module is effective.

Development of learning tools is a series of processes or activities undertaken to produce a learning device based on existing theories . The purpose of this research is to produce learning tool of NHT model with systematic problem solving strategy , product that produced in the form of Learning Implementation Plan (RPP) and Student Working Sheet (Module ) on Building Material of Flat Space Room that meet valid , effective , and practicalfor junior high school students in Pringsewu . This development research adopted the ADDIE model developed by Dick and Carey and quantitative research methods . The ADDIE model has four stages including analysis , design , development , Implementation , and Evaluation .

The objective of the research is to describe whether there is a difference of students' understanding of mathematical concepts using cooperative learning model of TAI type and Problem Based Learning (PBL) and show the cause of the difference. This study included experimental research with randomized control group design pretest posttest design. The result of the research shows that (1) the understanding of students 'mathematical concepts with cooperative learning model of TAI type is not significantly different from the understanding of students' mathematics concept with PBL learning model; (2) the understanding of students 'mathematical concept with cooperative learning model of TAI type is not significantly different from the students' with conventional learning model, (3) understanding of student math concept with PBL learning model is significantly different with understanding of student math concept with conventional learning model. So that there is effect of cooperative learning model of TAI type and problem based learning (PBL) to the students' math concept.

The objectives of this research are to obtain the procedure of ceramic motif design with through merging some objects flat geometry by concept of transformation. The research method covered the ceramic motif design with axis symmetry pattern and central symmetry pattern, which are constructed from triangle and circle. Finally, we simulate the design of ceramic motif by using computer software Maple 12.

This research aims to describe the improvement of student’s mathematical proving ability applying modified Moore method and conventional learning model in the subject of Algebra Structure. This research is a quasi-experimental research design using a nonequivalent control group design and used purposive sampling is as much as 41 students. The technique of collecting data used the mathematical proving ability test. Data were analyzed using two-step statistical descriptive and inferential statistical analysis. The research findings show that: 1) the mathematical proving ability of students who applying the Moore modified method significantly better than that students of applying the conventional learning model. 2) the improvement of the mathematical proving ability student that applying the Moore modified method of learning with a significantly better and more evenly than that students applying the conventional learning model. Based on these research, it can be recommended that learning algebra structure with modified Moore method can as an alternative method of learning to improve the mathematical proving ability.

This paper presents the definition, samples, and natures of isometric and isometric- m algebra operator for some in Hilbert space. In additions, the relationship of both operators will also be examined. To investigate natures of isometric and isometric- m operators, adjoint operators concepts and natures are required. Adjoint operator concept underlies isometric operator’s natures. Later, according to the concept, isometrc operator is expanded into isometric- m operators for some in Hilbert space. The result unveils algebra natures of isometric and isometric- m operators consisting of composition operators natures and multiplication with scalar. Furthermore, if T operators is isometric then T operators isometric- m for some .

In advanced calculus learning is needed teaching materials that can help students understand the concept. One of the teaching materials that can be used is by applying teaching materials that contains the problem of understanding the concept of advanced calculus. This instructional material can be arranged with inquiry-based. The research design used is Pre-Experimental Design with One-Group Pretest-Posttest Design type. From result of research, obtained t count equal to 11,8 and t tabel equal to 1,645 mean value of concept comprehension after given instructional materials advanced calculus based on inquiry is significantly better than before using advanced calculus based instructional materials inquiry. Based on the results of data analysis concluded that the instructional materials advanced inquiry-based advanced calculus developed effectively can improve the ability of students' concept of understanding on advanced calculus learning.

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui: (a) bagaimana proses pembelajaran materi luas bangun datar berbasis teori belajar konstruktivistik; serta (b) keefektivan pembelajaran tersebut dalam meningkatkan prestasi belajar. Subjek penelitian ini adalah seluruh kelas V SD Negeri Purworejo. Teknik analisis data pada penelitian ini meliputi teknik deskriptif kualitatif, deskriptif kuantitatif, dan kuantitatif uji-t. Setelah diadakan analisis pendahuluan didapatkan bahwa pembelajaran konstruktivistik ini dilakukan dengan multimedia Powerpoint, greenboard, dan pensil-kertas. Berdasarkan catatan lapangan dan observasi dua orang guru didapatkan bahwa pembelajaran telah terlaksana sesuai teori belajar konstruktivistik. Angket respon guru menghasilkan skor 39.5, serta uji-t menghasilkan thitung = 2.016 > 1.645 = ttabel. Artinya pembelajaran berbasis teori belajar konstruktivistik efektif secara signifikan untuk meningkatkan prestasi belajar.
