Abstract

This research aimed to analyze the impact of PBL model towards the learning result of economics at the students of SMA Negeri 1 Palu. This experimental research used a Randomized Pre Test-Posttest Control Design. The subject or population of this research was the students at class XI IPS SMA Negeri 1 Palu. The selected samples were Class XI IPS 5 as the experimental class and Class XI IPS 3 as the controlled class. The technique for selecting the first phase sample was done by using purposive sampling  and the second phase by using random sampling. The independent variable of this research was problem based learning model and the dependent variable was the score fo learning result of economics of the students at SMA Negeri 1 Palu. Data collecting was done through learning result test. Instrument validation was done by calculating the item discrimation and difficulty index, whereas reliability was calculated by using KR-20. Test data analysis requirements included normality testing by using Kolmogorov-Smirnov and homogenity test by using Levene Test. The hypothesis testing was done by using t test on the significance level of 0,05. Based on the statistic testing result of t test, it was found that the score of F count was 1,585 with the score of p 0,000 was smaller than alpha 0,05 which means that zero hypothesis was rejected. The rejection of zero hypothesis means accepting the alternative hypothesis which stated that there was a difference in learning result between the group of students who were taught by using PBL model in the experimental class compared to the group of students taught by using conventional model in the controlled class. PBL and conventional models were significantly different in the achievement of economics learning result. The difference was strengthen by the mean result of each group. The learning in the experimental class by using PBL model had the mean score of 79.10 while the mean for controlled class using conventional model was 58.93. Based on the finding, it can be concluded that there was an impact on the use of PBL and conventional models towards the learning result of sconomics at SMA Negeri 1 Palu. PBL model gave significant impact towards the learning result of economics at SMA Negeri 1 Palu.

Abstract

This study aims: 1) To analyze and determine the simultaneously impact of education, health, employment, government policy and social relations on social inequalities in the business group of table salt processing in Donggala district; 2) to analyze and determine the partially effect of education, health, opportunity, employment, government policy and social relations on social inequalities the business groups of table salt processing in Donggala. There were 80 members as the sample of this study and they are the members of 8 groups of table salt processing businesses in Donggala district. This study applied census as saturated sampling techniques so that all members of population have an opportunity to nominated as respondents. Multiple linier regression methods is used to analyze the findings. This study found that there are simultaneously and partially affect of education, health, and employment opportunities, public policy and social relations on the social inequality in the business groups of table salt processing in Donggala district.

Abstract

In an organization, both formal and non-formal, the human role are very dominant as a driving force in the running of the organization to achieve the goals that have been set. Human resources holds a very important role where human resources is seen as a major driving factor in determining the success of an organization. This study used motivational variables consisting of the factors of motivator and hygiene as independent variables and the employee performance factor as dependent variable. The type of research used in this study was descriptive and quantitative. The research location is North Mamuju Board for Food Security and Counselors. The samples involved in this study were 75 people who were employees at various levels. The data used in this study consisted of primary and secondary data. Questionnaires was used as a medium to get data from the respondents. Data were analyzed using multiple linear regression method. The results of this study showed that motivation comprising the factors of motivator and hygiene simultaneously had positive and significant influence on employee performance. Partially, the motivator factor had positive and significant relationship to employee performance. Meanwhile, the hygiene factor partially did not had relationship to employee performance. The results of this study could be used as an input by North Mamuju Board for Food Security and Counselors in improving employee performance. The results also can strengthen motivation theories that had been studied in several research. Future studies should include other variables in order that generalization of this theory can be strengthened in relation to the performance aspect.

Abstract

This study aims to assess and analyze the effect of motivation on employee performance Regional Inspectorate of Central Sulawesi Province. This type of research using this type of survey quantitative approach, measure theory of motivation by Maslow in Mangkunagara (2005: 63), comprising: physiological needs, safety, social, respect and self-actualization. Medium theory of performance based on the opinions Bernardin and Russel in Sulistiyani (2004: 83) consisting of: quality, quantity, timeliness, effectiveness and independence of work commitment. Based on the results of a simple regression analysis, it was concluded that, on the calculation on the independent variable motivation with the dependent variable employee's performance Regional Inspectorate of Central Sulawesi Province, obtained Fhitung = 58 547 on a real level á = 0.05 or 0.05 ˂ F Siq. The table also shows that the value of the significance F = 0.000. It can be stated that the independent variables (motivation) has influence on variable dependent significant (performance). Thus, the second hypothesis which states that, motivation and positive effect on employee performance significant Regional Inspectorate of Central Sulawesi province, based on the F-test results  proved.

Abstract

AbstractThe goals of this study is to determine and analyze the growth of direct expenditure, indirect expenditure, and equity funds as well as to determine simultaneous and partial influence of direct and indirect expenditure on equity funds. Sample of the study consists of 11 districts/towns in Central Sulawesi that is selected with purposive sampling method. Method of analysis is descriptive and multiple linear regressions. The result find that the average growth of both direct and indirect expenditure is decreased while the average of equity funds has been increasing. The result of simultaneous test indicates that direct and indirect expenditures have significant influence on equity funds. Determinant coefficient of R-Square value of 0,770 that indicates the influence of direct and indirect expenditure on equity funds is 77,00%, while 23,00% influenced by variables that are mot studied.

Abstract

The aim of this study; (1) untuk mengetahui pengaruh simultaneous performance of the service quality of the vehicle testing bermotordi Department of Transportation, Communications and Information Technology of North Mamuju regency; (2) to determine the effect of partial performance of the service quality testing of motor vehicles in the Department of Transportation, Communications and Information Technology of North Mamuju regency. Theory of performance used from Kast and Rosenzweig (2002: 25), while the service quality theory from Parasuraman et al. (1988: 23). This type of research inikuantitatif. This study population pegawaidan society, where the number of employees 32 people, while in 1085 the community numbered drawn using the formula to 92 people. Employees using census sampling, while for people to use simple random sampling, and data analysis techniques using multiple linear regression. The results showed; (1) the effect of simultaneous kinerjaterhadap service quality testing of motor vehicles in the Department of Transportation, Communications and Information Technology of North Mamuju regency is determined by the dimensions of ability (ability), effort (effort), and the chance (opportunity), with the effect of 72.6% and tngkat a very strong relationship. This means that the rise of performance it will improve the quality of service. Descriptive analysis of the cumulative results show the ability (ability) has the highest percentage, especially on indicators of technological mastery, while the cumulative result is a low chance (opportunity) in terms of training opportunities; (2) The effect of partial kinerjaterhadap service quality testing of motor vehicles in the Department of Transportation, Communications and Information Technology of North Mamuju regency determined by ability (ability) significantly affects the quality of service. Effort (effort) significantly affects the quality of service, and the chance (opportunity) significantly affects the quality of service.

Abstract

The problems are formulated as: 1) Has the minumum subsistance wage and the implementation of wage system protected the workers/laborer?, 2) Has the minimum subsistance wage contributed to the workers/laborers’ welfare? It is under the supervision of Yasin Nahar and Surahman. This is normative research using qualitative analysis method. The research aimed at finding out that the minumum subsistance wage and the waging system stipulated by the local goverment have provided protection for workers/laborers in terms of their welfare. Progressive law reviews the legal procedure within different period. Legal procedure refers to the integration of various factors as the elements such as mission of law, paradigm used, the knowledge on constitutional regulation law, the use of specific theories. It also includes attitudes and psychological matters such as intention, commitment, dare, determination, emphaty, as well as compassion. The provincial minumum subsistance wage in Tolitoli Regency has not been fully provided welfare for the workers/laborers and employees due to the fact that some employers interpreted the meaning of minimum subsistance wage that if the workers/laborers have been payed with the minimum subsistance, the employers feel that they already satisfy their obligation based on the statements on the regulations.

Abstract

The purpose of this research was to determine and analyze the influence of the learning organizational consisting of organizational learning, learning at workplace, learning climate and learning structure on the performance of the team simultaneously and partially in the Secretariat Section of Sigi District. This is a causal descriptive research with a survey approach using 74 employees as the sample with sampling technique used Proportional Random Sampling. Data were analyzed using multiple linear regression analysis and the results show that learning organizational variable (X) consisting of organizational learning (X1), learning at the workplace (X2), a learning climate (X3) and the structure of learning (X4) simultaneously give a positivr and significant impact on the performance of the team in Secretariat Section of Sigi District, with a value of F counted 23.826 > F-table value of 1.53 or the Sig-F 0.000 < α value 0.05. Variable of organizational learning, learning at workplace, learning climate and learning structure partially give positive and significant impact on the performance of the team in Secretariat Section of Sigi District with t counted respectively 5.119; 2.486; 2.029; and 2.369 > 2.000 t-table value or value of sig-t respectively 0.000; 0.015; 0.003; and 0.021 < α value 0.05 at the 95% confidence level.

Abstract

This research was conducted in order to examine and analyze employee motivation At Regent Office Tolitoli, this research used Qualitative Research Methods. Informants of this research is a Civil Servant, among others; Regional Secretary, General Administration Assistant III, Head of the General Government Administration, Head and Head of Organization and Management, Head of Public Welfare, Head of Public and Supplies. The technique used in the field of data collection are observation, interview and documentation. Results of research on Employee Motivation Regent Office Tolitoli, if in the review of Motivation Herzberg there are two factors that both motivators and hygiene can be concluded that to achieve the goals of the organization is still need for improvement of motivation high because of unsatisfactory employee. Salary / wage can be said to be less going well, because there are still some employers who are less sensitive and have a sense of empathy towards their subordinates, especially for permanent employees in providing benefits, incentives or other bonuses.

Abstract

This research aimed at analyzing the policy implementation of a driver's license (SIM) issuance at Polres Palu towards traffic violations and accidents in Palu; and to find out factors that influenced those violations, accidents and inappropriateness of a driver's license issuance. All 114 policemen in Palu Police Resort became the population of this research and 30 of them were selected as sample. The data were collected through observation, interview, questionnaire and documentation. The result showed that the policy implementation of a driver's license issuance at Polres Palu which consisted of four indicators: communication, resources, impact and bureaucracy were carried out properly. The occurrence of traffic accidents and violations due to the acquisition of SIM which was inappropriate with the rule and less understood of drivers about traffic rules. Factors affected traffic violations, accidents and public driving license issuance, were the low level of public confidence to the police, bureaucracy effect in solving the cases remained high, resolving the case of violations committed by members of Polri  were not transparent and tend to be protected by corps, and level of welfare and incentives was inadequate and unsupported by budget and adequate infrastructure. All of those factors were considered as the effects of Polres Palu apparatus performance to be less maximum in improving legal services in their area.
