Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan representasi bentuk kekuasaan dalam wacana kelas di SMP Labschool Untad Palu tahun ajaran 2015/2016. Pendekatan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah pendekatan kualitatif. Jenis penelitian ini tergolong analisis wacana kritis (AWK). Model AWK yang diimplementasikan adalah model Norman Fairclough. Pengumpulan data penelitian dilakukan melalui; (1) observasi, (2) teknik rekam, dan (3) catatan lapangan. Peneliti bertindak sebagai instrumen utama. Analisis data penelitian dilakukan melalui model Miles dan Huberman, yakni: (1) pengumpulan data, (2) reduksi data, (3) penyajian data, dan (4) penarikan kesimpulan/verifikasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat representasi bentuk kekuasaan dalam wacana kelas di SMP Labschool Untad Palu tahun ajaran 2015/2016 melalui tindak tutur. Tuturan tersebut akan merepresentasikan bentuk, yakni: (1) perintah, (2) permintaan, (3) larangan, (4) persilaan, (5) saran, (6) menilai, (7) memberitahukan. Dari tindak tutur tersebut terepresentasi bentuk kekuasaan yang menggunakan beberapa jenis kekuasaan, seperti: kekuasaan paksaan, kekuasaan absah, kekuasaan imbalan, dan kekuasaan keahlian

Abstract

Language is the tool of communication for the human in their daily activity. As a tools of communication, the existing of language wish can help the human to fluency all of their activities. All of the activities which done by the human will not from whom which conveys the information is mentioned Speaker and speaker group or can be mentioned speak opponent. The speech which have relation with a context most influenced by the situation of speech. Its in the good condition in the people or in the school. In the interact of the school, head master who a person most have done meetings with the teacher. It enables will show that kinds of form directive speech action when the head master interacts with the teacher. The objective of the research is to describe the using of directive speech action which include (1) form, (2) Function, (3), speech strategy of head master in SMA Negeri 1 Kasimbar. The method which used in this research descriptive qualitative. The data accumulation is done with two techniques those are recording and observation. The subject of this research is a head master. The data  Analisys technique in this research is interactive model. The analisys in this include four steps, there are (1), accumulation data, (2), reduction data, (3), serving data, (4), verification/ take a conclude. The result of this research show that directive speech action form of head master to the teacher in SMA Negeri 1 Kasimbar consist of (1), imperative form, request form, (3), prohibition form, (4), giving a suggestion form, (5) statement form and (6) questioning form. The function of directive speech action is found of the research result which consist of (1) imperative function, (2) requesting function, (3) prohibition function, (4) giving a suggestion function. The strategy which used in directive speech action consist of direct strategy and indirect strategy. At the direct strategy, consist of (1) direct strategy in a imperative, (2) direct strategy in a request, (3) direct strategy in a prohibition, and (4) drect strategy in giving a suggestion. While indirect strategy that is (1) indirect strategy in a statement and indirect strategy in a question.

Abstract

The problem of this research consist of two sub-problems. Those are, (1) What is the symbols which found at the Sambulu Gana in wedding ceremony of kailinese ethnic, (2) what are the meanings at the symbols Sambulu gana in wedding ceremony of kailinese ethnic. Design and kind of this research can be categorized as a qualitative research with descriptive approach method. There is the data of this research consist of two categorize, those are (1) symbols which found at the sambulu gana in the wedding ceremony of kailinese ethnic. The technique of data accumulation had done through three steps, they are : (1) direct observation, (2) interview, (3), documentation. therefore, all of the data which found explained and investigated with conclude qualitative descriptive  analisys technique.

Abstract

The objective of this research is to describe the application of SQ4R Strategy in reading intensive and to improve reading intensive skill at fourth grade students of SD Inpres Kalukubula. Kind of this research classroom action research which implemented at fourth grade student of SD Inpres Kalukubula. This research is adopting a model whish developed by Kemmis through classroom action research planning which implemented by a cycle that is planning, implementing, observation, and reflection. Basd on the result of this research, it is known that SQ4R Method can improve at the fourth grade srudents of SD Inpres Kalukubula in reading intensive. The Result obtained at the cycle 1 that is in the sentence logical aspect of cycle 1 is 33,33% and there is in the cycle II is 85,71%. Accuracy aspect of main sentence which found at the cycle I is 57,14 and cycle II is 90,47%. Aspect of sequence sentence in the paragraph at the cycle I is 42,85 a nd in the cycle II is 85,71%. Aspect of compability sentence with the content of the text at the cycle I is 61,90% and in the cycle II is 85,71%. The comparison of the test result at the cycle I and cycle II can be seen is enough significance, except at the logical unsure of sentence. There is an improvement at the result of the student learning at fourth grade student of SD Inpres Kalukubula had done reading of intensive learning with using SQ4R method with the theme “ visiting an orphanage” at the cycle I and the theme “ school coperation” at the cycle II. The students completeness percentage in intensive reading in cycle I achieve 19,04%, with the average score is 69  and less from the standard of completeness which decided that is 70. At the cycle Ii the percentage comleteness happen an improvement tobe 76,19% with the average score is 83,9 and it had complete standard of completeness which decided. The improvement which happen can be seen from the result which obtained that is the percentage is too improve from cycle I to the cycle II.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis hubungan antara kecepatan membaca dan prestasi membaca. Metode kuantitatif dengan desain penelitian korelasi  digunakan dalam penelitian ini. Populasinya adalah 47 mahasiswa Pendidikan Bahasa Inggris Universitas Sintuwu Maroso.  Diantara mereka itu, diambil 23 mahasiswa sebagai sample secara acak. Dua variabel bebas dikorelasikan, speed reading sebagai variabel X dan prestasi membaca sebagai variabel Y. Teks dan pertanyaan tertulis digunakan dalam pengumpulan datanya yang terdiri dari 40 item. Yang mana 8 pertanyaan untuk tiap teks. Datanya dianalisis   menggunakan program SPSS (Statistical Package for the Social Science)18. Temuannya menunjukan bahwa koefisien korelasi (rxy) adalah 0,977,  dengan menggunakan derajat kebebasan df = N-2 dan tingkat signifikan 0,05 atau 5%. Dengan membandingkan nilai r-tabel 0, 413 menunjukan bahwa nilai rxy lebih tinggi  dari rt (0,977 > 0,413). Dengan demikian alternative hipotesis  (Ha) diterima dan null hipotesis (Ho) ditolak. Jadi, ada korelasi yang signifikan antara kecepatan membaca  dan prestasi membaca.
