Abstract

Lately, the needs of energy is increasing but its availability is very limited. Therefore,it is important to do more research on energy reform. Generator is one of the alternative energy which commonly used by the public, but it has a minus value such as the voltage instability and low efficiency of the generator . Based on those issues,so we made an application flywheel in electrical generator, which aims to produce a concept of power efficiency increase, stabilize the output voltage of the generator and begin to process power plant. How to operate it is by connecting the outlet of electricity, then TPDT converted to first position (position I), when the indicator light on the generator turns on, TPDT converted into the second position (position II) and began to process power plant.Making process of flywheel application machine in electrical generator start from designing of flywheel mechanims, find the amount of rotation per minute from generator (by experiments), find element of machine which uses(shaft,pin, chain, sprocket, bearing and flywheel), the value of power and the output value of generator. from the results of design of the machine is needed a 700watt with 1500 rpm motor with a transmission system using chain no.25, 10,5 kg mass of flywheel, and the maximum output power from generator 1200watt for 12 minutes. Abstract

Bacground: Promotion tour area is the activities promoted a tour area to prospective customers / tourists. Means for the promotion of the tourist area with take photo from common camera less attractive from aesthetics aspect.Promotion tour area must make very attractive in other that tourists can interest to visit it. Objectives: Integrating quadcopter with the camera as a device documentation of tourism area with interactive visualizations. Methods: collecting the information, literature and discussions with experts supported aeromodelling especially quadcopter, conducted by making design tool, the main function of the tool implementation and effectiveness of the test tool. Results: Quadcopter creation tool that is integrated with a high resolution camera to get a picture of the tourist area of the air. The workings of this system is the photography with a camera into the air using a quadcopter until it reaches a certain height and is used to take pictures of tourist areas from wider viewing angles. The results of the shooting will be displayed on the website as an attraction partners to increase the number of visitors on the footflag website and attract much the tourists to related tour object. Abstract

Salt farmers have a problem about the low selling price of salt in common, which is Rp 400,-/kg for B quality salt and Rp 550,-/kg for quality salt A. The cause of the low selling price is because the yield of salt mixed impurities from mineral in soil. In addition, other barriers experienced by the salt farmers are can not operate during the rainy season. It is caused due to the use of the conventional method is not maximized so it produces salt with low quality and quantity. These conditions have been experienced by salt farmers in the Madegan village. Therefore the purpose of the PKM-T is to make the tool named “Talang Cerdas” producing high quality salt with crystallization method using stainless steel gutters and lenses as a focus rays. The methods used are literature studies and field observations on a group of salt farmers in Madegan village as a partners of salt producers using “Talang Cerdas”. Then, we made the design and manufacture of equipment. “Talang Cerdas” has three parts. The first part is tank and pump as a container and pump sea water into it. The second part is the gutters and supporting tools as a medium of salt farmers. The third part is the lens for the convergence process. After that, we did test to the tool and the salt result, and also socialiszation to the salt farmers. “Talang Cerdas”produces a greater salt that is 2,67 kg/m2 in 14 days which operates for 7 hours per day. Based on the chemical test, the salt has low water content which is 0,733%, the levels of NaCl, Mg, Ca and SO4 respectively 95,73%, 0,05%, 0,08% and 0,17%.Keywords : Salt, stainless steel, crystallization, saltpond

Abstract

In producing salted fish, Karang Labuang fishing communities still use traditional tools, so that the results obtained are not optimal. The boiled process takes a long time, the short life of the tool used, the heat generated is not maximal, and the quality of salted fish is also not good. Color fading of salted fish also causes the decrease of salted fish price in the market. Consequently, the sales turnover has decreased by 75%. This has an impact on the economy and welfare of the local community because the sale of salted fish is their main income. To improve the effectiveness and efficiency of Karang Labuang fishing community in producing salted fish, there is an idea to create a boiled tool for salted fish that have been modified, either from the raw material of the container and furnace construction used. To apply this technology in the community, the first step is a survey. In survey process, the team went to the targeted place in order to study the character of the local community, so when they are given the socialization and introduction of the tool, they do not pose questions. With this tool is expected that local communities can improve the productivity and quality of their salted fish productions. Abstract

Sumberbrantas is an Agroindustrial village in Malang, East java, with the main commodities are potatoes. One of the farmer groups engaged in potatoes agricultural sector is Anjasmoro farmer groups III. This farmer groups special program is perform independently potato seeding in the greenhouse. But, this process is not optimal because of less lighting so the potatoes seed produced susceptible to disease and has a small size. Therefore, we innovate to apply LUMOS technology. LUMOS is an automatic lighting system based on photoperiodic. The purpose of this program is to determine a method of designing, manufacturing, Lumos application influences and effective way of socialization. Lumos has a size of 25m × 5m. there are 4 18 watt lights, there are control Box size 15cm × 21cm × 5cm, and can be used for 5 years. Making Lumos begins with assembly hardware, sensor calibration and software development. The results showed that potatoes produced has a diameter of 8.128 mm and a mass of 31.3 grams greater than before. This technology is able to produce potatoes seed up to 7,000 seeds/period and profit reached Rp 20,169,000.00 annually. It is expected that this technology into a technology demonstration for other potato farmers in Indonesia.Keywords: automatic lighting, potatoes seeding, photoperiodic

Abstract

There are many ways which can be done by farmers to repel the bird pests, one of them is by using ultra sonic wave (Parcaya, 2008). Among the farmers there are some methods which are used to repel this bird pest such as by making “orang-orangan” (puppet), banners, ringing cans, putting plastic bags ,catapult and even using air rifle. By means of this bird pest repelling device using ultra sonic wave, it will be benefit for the farmers to repel the bird pest. This device consists of several series electronic, such as solar panel, series of battery charger controller , storage batteries, series of light sensor, series of amplifier/intensifier laser IC 555 and series of ultrasonic sensor. The degree of influence of sparrow pest was decreasing by 95%. The method applied for 4 stages, namely collecting data, device design, device construction and device testing/experiment. The result of this research is solar panel prototype design as a bird pest repelling device innovation which is useful for farmers to ease the jobs. Abstract

Automatic Tofu Maker or ATM- Machine (Automatic Tofu Maker – machine) is applied technology to solve problem for traditional tofu factory named Sari Rasa, located in Sindang Sari, Cileunyi, Bandung, West Java. Tofu maker traditionally, producing tofu consist of six steps : milling, boiling, filtering, coagulating, pressing, and colouring. Each step is done separately, by manual operation. With this ATM-Machine, those six steps of producing tofu could be done automatically in a consecutive process. The four process milling, boiling, filtering, and coagulating combine in one process. Compare with traditional one, this ATM-Machine have some advantageous. The production time is shorter, more hygiene, can be operated by one person, and the space used is smaller. Another positive point, traditional boiling systems substituted by used boiler which the fuel needed reduced, and the efficiency of the boiler is between 70% to 90%. Abstract

One of the areas that have the potential untapped river water that is in Nagari Padang West Sumatra Ganting Tanah Datar. This area has a rain-fed agricultural land and cultivation can only 1 time in a year, but often failed harvests due to erratic rainfall while irrigated land can grow crops three times a year. From this condition held a mill that is capable of moving the pump to supply the water needs of rainfed rice fields of society. The method used in problem solving is to design a water wheel pump screw propulsion is environmentally friendly. Planning windmill was adapted to the potential presence of the surrounding area. Utilization of river water into a precision that is possible. Before it is delivered to the public for use in the first trial feasibility. From this activity, the target achievement is a model tool that can irrigate agricultural land to grow crops such as paddy rice 1 hectare to 5 hours of operating time / day (without the help of rain). The results of this turbine design produces water flow capacity that can be pumped by 40 ltr / min, with a torque power large enough to dimamfaatkan propulsion pump with a constant flow rate of an average of 5 m / sec. Pump shaft rotation by comparison magnified 5 times to 1500 rpm. Turbine output shaft rotation on average 550 rpm. This screw waterwheel can work continuously so that the pump can be driven over the wheel rotates. With this condition the water being pumped continuously irrigate the fields which are in terrain height of the elevation angle of 300 and a high-lift can reach 10 m.Keywords: water mill, screw, discharge, planning

Abstract

Indonesia merupakan negara yang kaya akan sumber daya alam. Berbagai aspek mulai dari letak geografis, iklim, intensitas cahaya dan kelembapan sangatlah mendukung semua kegiatan pertanian di Indonesia, Namun dengan melimpahnya produk hasil pertanian harus diikuti dengan pemanfaatan produk hasil pertanian tersebut secara optimal. Untuk menyelesaikan permasalahan pada pengolahan hasil pertanian salah satu caranya adalah dengan cara pembubukan bahan makanan sebelum disimpan, tetapi saat ini cara tersebut masih menggunakan alat dan metode konvensional. Kami merancang suatu alat dengan sistem Cryogenic Powdering yang bekerja dengan teknologi logika fuzzy (Fuzzy Logic) yang mampu mengolah produk pertanian menjadi produk olahan dalam bentuk bubuk yang dapat bertahan lama tanpa bahan pengawet dan juga sangat hemat energi. Metode cryogenic adalah metode pengolahan bahan makanan pada suhu sangat rendah (<- 1900 C). Metode pelaksanaan yang digunakan yaitu dengan studi masalah kemudian melakukan pembahasan dan pencarian solusi, perancangan alat, uji coba, koreksi hasil, penerapan kepada mitra, pelaporan hasil akhir dan dokumentasi. Hasil yang diperoleh dari alat cryogenic dengan dilengkapi sistem fuzzy logic ini yaitu pengolahan bahan makanan menjadi jauh lebih singkat waktunya, lebih hemat bahan bakar atau energi yang dibutuhkan sekitar 30% dan juga hasil olahan yang memiliki kualitas jauh lebih baik dibandingkan dengan bahan makanan hasil olahan dengan alat konvensional dari segi kualitas kadar air, rasa, warna, dan baunya. Penerapan mesin cryogenic ini sangat cocok diterapkan pada masyarakat di Indonesia yang memiliki permasahan pada proses pengolahan bahan makanan dan penumpukan hasil panen.Kata Kunci : Petani, Panen, Cryogenic, Fuzzy Logic, bubuk

Abstract

Indonesia is a country which has plastic waste problem. Based on BPS’s (1999) data shows that in 1995 volume of import plastic trade in Indonesia especially polipropilena (PP) is 136,122.7 tons whereas in 1999 is 182,523.6 tons. Thus, in that particular time the volume of import plastic trade increases up to 34.15 %. In this case, we create a new innovation in the form of injection molding machine to overcome plastic waste problem. Injection molding machine is a waste processor machine which change plastic waste from solid form into fluidaform then take it into a mold by using screw. Moreover, Injection molding machine could change plastic waste becomes valuable commercial products. One of the products is bird cage. In this case, it helps the bird cage maker to overcome the scarcity of rattan and the explosion volume of plastic waste.Keywords: plastic waste, injection molding machine, product, and bird cage.
