Abstract

Lack of medical personnel in Indonesia led to many patients who need intensive care and their conditions are not monitored in real time as well as patients’s room with the doctors office away from each other. So this activity aims to facilitate monitoring of blood oxygen saturation levels,  cardiac signal and temperature of the patient even though the doctor is not in place. ECG circuits that is made had HPF circuit wich pass frequencies above 0.05 Hz, LPF circuits which pass frequencies below 100 Hz, and Notcoh filter circuit that can eliminate the grid. At oximetry sensor circuit built using red LED (Light Emitting Diode) and infrared LED. In the temperature circuits,  IC LM-35 is used as a temperature sensor. All three circuits were combined with a microcontroller to a PC and  processed by a program has been designed and accepted by smartphones. The results that have been obtained from the test on each parameter there are no real difference to the oximetry, ECG, and temperature calibrator tool.Key Words: ECG, Oximetry, temperature.

Abstract

Nowadays, depletion of food source, disease outbreak, and alternative energy occur as global challenges. With little public awareness, life science actually has answers for the core problem and the solution. Therefore, there should be easy and attractive ways to alter public’s view and add their knowledge about life science. Indonesian culture is accustomed with oral tradition so musical could be an alternative method for reaching out public awareness. Songs about life science has been previously made and for PKM KC, booklet and video were made for making the songs easier to be understood and were put on web so people can access our works. Our works were made with Adobe Illustrator, Adobe After Effect, Adobe Dreamweaver, and iMovie software. Publication was held through school and radio roadshow and public’s response was observed. To date, we haven’t found any works with life science content that has comprehensive variety except our works. Students and public enjoy our works with accepted message about life science. Abstract

Currently, the effort to overcome the tidal water disaster is merely raising the ground level which tend to be difficult and ineffective. The solution is done by using the water as drinking water with the help of water purifier. The purpose of this program is to characterize tidal water, prototyping tools, and characterize the resulting water. This water purifier is designed to use three kinds of macro filter namely silica sand, activated carbon, zeolite, and the membranes Reverse Osmosis. In addition, the tool is equipped with a photocatalyst that functions to neutralize organic compounds. Reverse Osmosis Membrane equipped with backflush process to extend the life of the membrane. Tidal water test results in Laboratory of PDAM TirtaMoedal shows some parameters that exceed drinking water quality standard, dissolved solids is 1848 mg/lt of quality standard of 500 mg/l, levels of Chloride is 1692 mg/l of quality standard of 250 mg/l, Ammonia levels is 1.28 mg/l of quality standard of 1.5 mg/l, levels of Manganese is 0.522 mg/l of quality standard of 0.1 mg/l. Then the results of lab tests show that the water output of this tool is potable, it’sindicated by dissolved solids was reduced to 10 mg/l, Chloride level is 5.98 mg/l, Ammonia level is 0.1 mg/l and Manganese level is 0,006 mg/l. Thus, it can be concluded this water purifier is capable of purifying water rob into potable water.Keywords: Tidal water, rob water, water purifier, reverse osmosis, potable water

Abstract

Sistem monitoring merupakan suatu proses untuk mengumpulkan data dari berbagai sumber daya secara real time. Dalam peningkatan kinerja evakuasi cepat pada emergency response maka dibutuhkan sistem monitoring yang tepat guna. Teknologi Intelligent Transportation System (ITS) merupakan suatu cara untuk mengintegrasikan antara infrastruktur transportasi.  Dari kebutuhan tersebut maka digunakan Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) sebagai wahana untuk melakukan monitoring pada jalan tol. dengan penggunaan teknologi ini dihasilkan prototype yang bisa memberikan kinerja lebih efektif dibandingkan dengan CCTV karena wahana tersebut terlepas dari kepadatan di jalan kendaraan bermotor. Dengan adanya sistem ini, perusahaan pengelolaan jalan tol bisa mengetahui kondisi jalan tol serta pengguna jalan tol bisa mengakses kondisi terbaru melalui aplikasi android. Aplikasi pada sistem operasi android ini membuat pengguna jalan tol bisa mengetahui kondisi secara real time. Pada kegiatan ini juga menghasilkan graphic interface unit (GUI) untuk aplikasi sederhana untuk mengendalikan UAV sehingga dapat meningkatkan kinerja evakuasi cepat pada emergency response Kata kunci: UAV, android, evakuasi cepat, jalan tol, sistem monitoring

Abstract

Technology advances very rapidly and currently can be implemented into every aspect of human life needs. This research seeks to take advantage of advances in technology to help meet human needs in the field of health. This tool uses the flowmeter sensor to measure the human breath that passes the sensor as input values will be processed by the system. Human breath volume value unit searched the time by using the principle of Bernoullis law of physical to detect any abnormalities in respiratory function in humans. With the possibility of it detects early these abnormalities will increase the effectiveness of treatments that can be given to sufferers. Measuring instrument is then integrated with database systems with cloud computing using the web server, so that the data collected through such tools can be sent directly to the database server and displayed through a Web page. Thus, parties concerned who have access rights to view this data can access that data anytime and anywhere. Making it easier to do preparation handling or even do prevention because it is an indication of the risk of disease can be detected early. The data can also be used as a record of statistical data for penilitian and logging that can be beneficial in the field of health. The results of this research is the integration of the two subsystems for measuring air flow and a data base of cloud computing. Abstract

More than 60% or 3,257,483 km2 of Indonesia is covered by sea. Sea transportation is extremely important for economic integration and for domestic and international trade but unfortunately besides natural factor,  the biggest factor causing accident in the sea is human error. TEKWAN (Teknologi Wireless Automatic Nahkoda) for Ship is an autopilot system for ship and long distance controlled. TEKWAN for ship is a smart solution for Indonesia’s sea problems, equipped with two cameras for computer vision and automatically avoid other ship or obstacle in ship’s track. There are some supporting systems such as GPS navigation, compass, radar systems, online systems and visualisation of digital maps which is connected to operator in TEKWAN.

Abstract

An industrial gas leak will cause material losses and impede the gas distribution of the company. In addition, it can also threaten human lives if the gas leaked is of toxic and inflammable gasses. Thus, to overcome these issues, the researchers had developed an automatic gas leak detection system through this prototype. In this journal, the researchers described how to make a prototype of a robot for monitoring the gas leak. The designed robotwasof Out-Pipe Robot type anda PVC pipe was used as the real replica of the pipe. This study was conducted for three purposes: (1) Determining the design; (2) Describing themaking processand(3) Explaining theperformance test ofthe prototype of pipe tracking robotusingelectricnosetechnologyasthe gas leakdetector. The workingsystem of this pipe tracking robotis by trackingthe pipe usingthe HC-SR04 ultrasonicsensor. If the MQ-6gassensordetects the presence ofa gas leak, thegas sensorwilldetectthe gasandconvert itintovoltage. Then, the gas sensors will transmit the input voltage to the Arduino microcontroller, after which the output of the Arduino microcontroller will release the data to the LCD and display it in the form of digital figures in accordance with the level and type of the leaked gas. Besides, the buzzer will start soundingonce it detects the presence of the gas. The results of the study were: (1) The device is able to track the pipe which was  ± 10 cm in diameter, (2) The device is able to detect gas other than clean air, (3) The flashing LCD screen indicating that it detected the presence of gas, (4) The ideal distance to be maintained between the pipe and the mobile robot was 5 cm. With the ideal distance, the mobile sensors could easily track over a pipe installation without getting distracted by other objects. (5) The time reference used as the detection range was 1 minute. Abstract

Indonesia is a tropical country that have two seasons, dry and wet. So many problems come in the wet season, one of them is the difficulty to dry up the clothes, for example drying up the uniform for student. By the decreasing temperature and the less sunlight intensity in wet season results on the reduction of water vapor on the wet clothes so it would take longer time to dry the clothes. Beside that, the difficulty to get dry clothes also brings the trouble for the scholars. The excessive activities of the students results on the desirability for students to get everything instantly. The scholars are also willing to get dry clothes quickly and instantly. Knowing that fact, to answer the problems above, an innovation called the Quidy (Quick Tidy) is made. Quidywas made with purpose to provide solutions for the difficulty to get dry clothes in wet seasons. This is to answer the problems faced by the households and scholars. In the making of Quidy, we have some processes, e.g. the selection of tools and materials to build Quidy, the terms used for designing Quidy, the designing process of Quidy, look performance from the design of Quidy and the last, evaluation stage. From the results obtained, we expect that Quidy could be a product that solves the problems in dying the clothes in any season. Because of the simplicity the Quidy offered, it is expected  thatQuidy will be the answers for the difficulty to dry clothes. Besides, by the presence of Quidy, it is expected that Quidy could benefit every people in the society, both for the high ends, the middles and the lows.Keywords : Quidy, Dryer, Chlothes, Heater

Abstract

Increasingly sophisticated technology enables the creation of material and goods with very small size and flexible. The problems that arise with such a small item storage is negligence in causing impaired daily activities. Solutions to overcome these problems are made of GULALI (Gantungan Anti Lali) which can detect small sized goods with frequency. GULALI is containt of a remote control (transmitter) and the hanger as the recipient (receiver) equipped with speakers mounted on a small sized objects. Abstract

Currently, the development of technology is already quite rapidly with many new discoveries were found, but of the many technologies invented yet applied or utilized for agriculture. Technology expulsion of rice pests automatically environmentally friendly (solar powered) with high efficiency is needed to save money, energy and time. In the study conducted to optimize the testing tool carefully gradually from the collection of materials and materials, design tools and programs, making tools, testing tools, data analysis and conclusions. To support this process and get the appropriate calculation is done using the first simulation software simulator with high accuracy. With the establishment of rice pest repellent technology automatically solar powered, could create an automated tool to repel pests of rice, rice pest population control, energy saving, power, cost, time, effective, practical, environmentally friendly and has a high efficiency in its use, so that farming communities can develop their business evolve towards better and produce maximum production of agricultural products. Keywords: Midges, automatic
