Abstract

Mastitis is an inflammation internal tissues of the mammary gland and marked by physical and chemical changes in milk quality with or without pathological changes of mammary gland. In subclinical mastitis there are visible sign detected except with a Mastitis detector or mastitis detection methods. Mastitis detection is very expensive for farmers and the reagents are harmful for cows, farmers and the environment. Therefore, it is necessary to develop mastitis detection tool that is easy to use and applicable. This mastitis detection tool using reagents biosurfactant from Pseudomonas sp. which grown in minimum media containing vegetable oil in concentration of 25% and incubation period of 24 hours. M-KID prototype tool made from glass and it is proven that the tool could be use as diagnostic test for subclinical mastitis in dairy cows, it has high level of accuracy and accountable compared to mastitis reagan and mastits tools that have been sold in the market.Key words: Mastitis, Milk, Mastitis detection Equipment, Pseudomonas sp., Biosurfactants

Abstract

Body’s temperature of dengue fever patient in hospital were monitored to draw its development phase where believes obeys the so-called saddle back pattern. It is therefore the aim of this study to build a monitoring system of body’s temperature of dengue fever patient atomatically and in a realtime manner. The built system uses an IC LM35 as a main temperature sensor equipped by a voltage regulator, a DAQ interface unit and package program of LabVIEW 7.1 as an operational system basis as well as a visual display unit. After sets of body’s temperature measurements we found a transfer function as V = 0.01θ − 0.05. This transfer function were then used as main input to acquire the calibration function where to be found as θ = 79.69 V − 7.81 and considered as the sensor characteristic. Later, such calibration function being inputed into formula XI box within LabVIEW 7.1 component diagram blocks which runs the whole monitoring system. Monitored body’s temperature was nicely plotted graphically onto panel front of LabVIEW7.1 and to be set well-operated within range 30 to 40oC. Respond stability of such sensor to be found as 99.8% at the temperature measurement of 35.1oC. Keywords: LM35, The body temperature, LabVIEW7.1

Abstract

Odor Sensor Digital (OSD) is a device used to detect the smell of injuries that reflect the level of infection. How it works OSD in detecting the level of infection is to capture odors contained in the wound, then the result is sent to the laptop and will be translated and summarized by the software (Software). The goal is to determine the level of infection as a basis for determining an accurate diagnosis. OSD will provide convenience for all healthcare professionals who manage patients, both patients with burns and wound infections. Abstract

Have been to be optimized environmentally friendly batteries with the basic ingredients of human urine. Prototyping is done to create a natural energy source of human waste and to overcome the limitations of existing energy sources in Indonesia. The battery is expected to be implemented naturally become pioneers of new energy sources in the future that can be mass produced. Methods of execution in this experiment is dissolving CuCl2 with distilled water. As the battery is used paper media that has been cut to fit the design of the battery. Once the paper is dipped into a solution of CuCl2, then injected human urine and left for a certain time. To determine the presence of voltage on the paper, was measured with a digital Avometer. From the results of measurements that have been made, the value of the maximum voltage of the battery is capable of 616 mV measured in urine composition that has been deposited for 10 days as much as 2 ml and the concentration of a solution of copper (II) chloride by 8 M. With the measured values indicates that the battery that have been made can be implemented as a prototype battery is environmentally friendly natural.Keywords: battery natural, human urine, environmentally friendly

Abstract

The background of this research is information overload which is an effect of ease of information manipulation, storage and distribution. Massive amount of text documents available causes a decline in effectivity and efficiency of an individual when using information. Automatic Text Summarization can solve information overload by producing text document summaries. Purpose of this research is to create an Automatic Text Summarization algorithm and its implementation to create summaries of important information from text documents faster and can satisfy users needs of relevant and consistent summaries. The algorithm is based on sentence features scoring and Genetic Algorithm for determining sentence feature weights. Implementation consists of training phase (read text input, pre-summarization, summarization, and Genetic Algorithm to produce learned sentence feature weights) and testing phase (read text input, pre-summarization, summarization, and saving summary). The algorithm is evaluated by calculating summarization speed, precision, recall, F-measure, and subjective evaluation. The results are Automatic Text Summarization algorithm which is able to text documents by extracting important sentences which represent contents of original text documents. Conclusions of this research are Automatic Text Summarization algorithm can create extractive summaries which represent important information from a single document in Indonesian with faster summarization speed compared to manual process. Abstract

Various regions in Indonesia are often had a natural disaster. Ironically handling of post-disaster still seem indolent and not ready especially fullfill requirement of shelters. Orientation of the above problem, we have an innovations arise to make shelters with various of design concept, include : shelters that can harvest the rain water, earthquake resistant, eco friendly materials, get implementing smart technology system as a puzzle and implement the dynamic wall system. The main materials used in our innovation is bamboo with the economic, low cost and sustainable when it compared to wood or aother materials. Same with implementing of other building work, temporary shelter that we construct need standart tools equipment builders. This activity is divided in two types of work, there’s fabrication site and construction site. On the implementation phase, we can starting from a literature search and discussion, survey tools and materials, permitting laboratories and make a shop drawing. After that, we can make the temporary shelters from the procurement of equipment and materials, work columns, beams, sloof, the walls and floor plate work, trust and roof work, finishing, construction phase and packaging. This product innovation is also equipped with a guide book for constructed, so our expectation is the temporary shelter can construct with effective and effisienly.Keyword : shelter, puzzle, bamboo, disaster

Abstract

Analysis of the total capacity and the cost of the unused power in the electricity network is influenced by the electronic equipment used. It is inevitable that current electronic devices have experienced rapid growth and has become a primary need that can not be separated from public life. The problems faced by consumers PLN, especially in dynamic electronic equipment such as AC (Air Conditioner) that is used is poor quality power factor caused by the electrical load is inductive. Power quality is good if you have more than 0.85 power factor (cos φ> 0.85) thus increasing the efficiency of electric power, voltage drop and power loss unfortunate-. To improve the power factor (cos φ) of the power system with inductive loads required a reactive power compensator. This compensation can be done by adding a capacitor bank that serves as a compensator or memberbaiki Cos value. The results of a prototype of the tool box containing a capacitor bank that can compensate or correct the power factor value automatically.Keywords: air conditioner, reactive power, power factor, capacitor bank

Abstract

In this student creativity competition karsa cipta division, we would like to create an application tool to learn violin instrument named Violin Education Kit (VOEDK), by using application on android to execute scoring process. The main goal of this tool is to help those who wanted to learn violin, especially for children. Also, it could help those who have not be able to read nots, because it has a basic music tutorial. The method uses an Arduino microcontroller to convert digital signal (Digital Signal Processing) from silent violin, then the converted digital signal would be transmitted to Android Tab by using bluetooth. The application on Android Tab would synchronised the digital signal with a certain note, then the result will appear like on a game fiture. This tool is also completed with sound effect and monitor sound, so hopefully user would not be bored in learning. Applicable for solo concert.Keywords: Android, Violin, Bluetooth, DSP..

Abstract

Indonesia is a tropical country with great potential for solar energy is about 4.5 kWh per m2. However, this potential can not be fully utilized due to the efficiency of solar panels is still very low at around 16%. Various research and development of solar panels has been done in order to get a system with higher efficiency. Starting from the development of constituent materials, the selection of topology until the latest is the change construction design of the solar panels. That is a change from fixed solar panel model (fixed solar panels) into a solar tracker. With the discovery of the suns solar panels followers, efficiency solar panels can now be increased up to 16.5%. However, the figure is too low if the solar panel want to be a solar panel power generation technologies that can be utilized by the general public. We tried to develop a solar panel system by utilizing the Fresnel lens that can concentrate sunlight intensity on the solar cell. Then, because of the position of the sun that always changes, we use a solar tracker that automatically adjust the position of the solar panels to always face the sun. So with the combination of the two technologies, solar panel can absorb maximum sunlight intensity.Keywords:Solar Panels, Solar Tracker, Fresnel Solar Concentration.

Abstract

Optical thermometer biasanya digunakan pada target bergerak dengan temperatur tinggi, target berbahaya bertegangan tinggi, jarak pengukuran terlalu besar. Perancangan optical thermometer dengan inovasi apperture setting bertujuan untuk mengoptimasi fungsi optical thermometer pada pengukuran temperatur opaque objek. Inovasi prototype terletak pada feature apperture setting sehingga pengguna dapat mengatur bukaan diameter lensa inframerah sesuai kebutuhan ketika melakukan pengukuran tempertur. Kami menggunakan dua metode yaitu metode desain optik dan desain elektrik untuk perancangan. Desain optik dititikberatkan pada penentuan ukuran dan tata letak lensa inframerah untuk memfokuskan radiasi inframerah yang dipancarkan benda agar secara tepat tertangkap oleh photodiode QSD2030F detector. Sedangkan perancangan elektrik lebih difokuskan pada desain rangkaian elektronik sehingga komponen optical thermometer dapat terintegrasi dan berfungsi sesuai keinginan. Dari percobaan pengukuran yang dilakukan menunjukkan bahwa apperture 6mm memiliki error yang paling besar pada setiap penambahan jarak pengukuran jika dibandingkan dengan apperture 10mm dan 8 mm. Hal ini karena energi radiasi yang ditangkap sensor juga sangat kecil. Hubungan yang didapatkan adalah bahwa setiap ketikan apperture dikurangi 2mm pada setiap penambahan jarak pengukuran, radiasi yang ditangkap oleh sensor akan berkurang sebesar 38.5% dari radiasi sebelumnya. Jika dikonversikan menjadi suhu, didapat nilai fraksi rata-rata 5oC. Nilai ini dijadikan sebagai nilai fraksi penambah ketika setting apperture dikurangi 2 mm.Keywords : Optical Thermometer, Apperture Setting, Desain Optik dan Elektronik
