Abstract

Background of the study: The rapid advancement of artificial intelligence (AI) has spurred growing scholarly interest in its application to library management. Analyzing research trends in this area is essential to understand its intellectual development and identify emerging themes and future directions. Purpose: This study aims to map the research landscape of Library Management Based on AI through a bibliometric analysis. Method: Data were analyzed using Biblioshiny in RStudio and examined through performance analysis and science mapping techniques. Findings: The field shows publication growth, with an average annual growth rate of 40.04%. The highest publication volume occurred in 2021, followed by renewed growth in 2025. China emerged as the most productive and most cited country. Journal of Physics: Conference Series was the most productive source, while Library Hi Tech recorded the highest citation impact. Keyword analysis shows a shift from data mining and library automation toward deep learning, natural language processing, smart libraries, blockchain, Internet of Things, and data privacy. Conclusion: This study contributes to understanding the intellectual structure of artificial intelligence-based library management and highlights future needs for governance, ethics, privacy protection, institutional readiness, and human resource capacity

Abstract

Background of the study: Household recordkeeping supports access to civil rights, public services, and recovery after disruption, yet family records management remains marginal in records and information scholarship. Purpose: This study synthesizes how household recordkeeping practices are described, what factors shape family records continuity, and what interventions are proposed to support households as recordkeeping units. Method: Following PRISMA 2020, this systematic literature review searched Scopus and SpringerLink for open access English-language journal articles published between 2015 and 2025. Inclusion criteria were open access English-language journal articles published in 2015–2025 that addressed household or family-level records, document management, disruption, disaster, service access, or records continuity. After deduplication, 19 studies were included and analyzed using thematic synthesis. Findings: The findings show that family records function as administrative, legal, social, and symbolic resources managed through creation, organization, storage, access, and reuse. Continuity is shaped by information and digital literacy, socioeconomic resources, infrastructure, institutional accessibility, policy arrangements, and social support. Existing interventions remain limited and focus mainly on guidance, training, and service redesign. Conclusion: This review positions household recordkeeping as resilience infrastructure for sustaining family records continuity.

Abstract

Background of the study: Alliance between library services and social capital is undeniable in sustainability studies, especially sustainable development initiatives as an emerging concept. Purpose: This study investigated the relationship among, social capital, and sustainable development initiative, moderated by users’ likelihood to engage in collective actions. Method: A descriptive correlational research design was adopted. A systematic simple random sampling was used to select 439 private university and public library users in Northern Nigeria. Data was collected through Google form distributed via the WhatsApp link. Findings: Results revealed that LSs had a significant relationship with SC at β=.752, t=22.54, p<0.05, SC also had a significant relationship with SDIs at β=0.607, t=13.32, p<0.05. Further results showed that there was a significant relationship between LSs and SDIs with β=0.456, t=9.56, p<0.05, while likelihood to engage in collective action significantly moderate the relationship between social capital and sustainable development initiatives with β=0.109, t=3.069, p<0.05. Conclusion: Beyond information systems status; libraries are social change agents which offer services that boost social capital to enhance sustainable development ideals.

Abstract

Background of the study: Knowledge preservation has evolved from ancient physical mediums (clay tablets, papyrus) to digital formats. Modern practices address media degradation, format obsolescence, and the integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) into knowledge resource management. Purpose: This paper reviews preservation development from ancient Mesopotamia to contemporary AI to understand how technological advancements safeguard documentary heritage. Method: An extensive literature review of 450 peer-reviewed articles, e-books, and reports was conducted. Applying strict inclusion criteria yielded 350 English-language works for full-text analysis across five chronological themes. Findings: The study identifies five distinct phases: early preservation (clay tablets to codices), medieval monastic copying, the print era, public accessibility, and the digital transition. Key milestones include the 1439 printing press, 1928 magnetic tape, 2006 cloud storage, and modern AI-driven metadata and predictive analytics. Conclusion: Preservation practices have evolved through successive technological, institutional, and societal changes that have influenced how knowledge is organized, protected, and accessed. Historical and contemporary evidence suggests that sustainable preservation depends not only on technological solutions but also on strong governance and organizational capacity. Addressing future preservation challenges will require more coordination that combine technical innovation with ethical and cultural considerations.

Abstract

Background of the study: Textile Museum data archiving methods play a crucial role in transforming artifact collections into data. These methods aim to transform memory into knowledge and preserve physical artifacts that are vulnerable to damage. Purpose: This study aims to analyze the archiving methods of textile collections and articulate the utility value of archives at the Textile Museum. Method: This study uses a qualitative approach with a case study design at the Jakarta Textile Museum. This study examines two pillars of archival activities at the Textile Museum: (1) inventory as formal textile data, and (2) collection study program as a process of exploring textile knowledge. Findings: Archival methods, through the integration of inventory and research, yield knowledge of textiles, including their physical materials, motifs, functions, and history. Archives play a crucial role in preserving original artifacts, ensuring they are not continually physically touched. Curators serve as the primary agents, using participatory mechanisms to organize exhibitions and seminars before publishing the results in print and digital formats. Conclusion: This study contributes by offering an empirically integrated model of the information cycle of textile collections that has ensured the intellectual preservation of traditional textile heritage in a sustainable and dynamic manner
