Abstract

Preliminary survey result showed the number of employees knowledge about the event held by Undaan Eye Hospital in Surabaya reached 52,8%. It means more than 20% employees are not aware of activity outside the work which that number can affect to decreasing employee commitment to the organization. Job satisfaction factors divided into 5 there are pay satisfaction, promotion, coworker, supervisor and the job characteristic. The aim of this study is to analyze the influence job satisfaction to employee commitment. Observational analytic was used in this research with the cross sectional design. The data was obtained through questionnaire with simple random sampling involving 62 employees as the sample of this research. The data obtained were analyzed using logistic regression test univariate (α=0,05) to examine the influence of Job satisfaction to employee commitment. The test result indicates that job satisfaction significantly influenced employee commitment at significance value of 0,02. Job satisfaction factors that there are influences toward employee commitment are employee’s pay satisfaction (sig=0,001), promotion (sig=0,005), supervisor (sig=0,004) and job characteristic (sig=0,001). On the other hand, the employee’s coworker satisfaction does not influence the employee commitment.Keywords: employee commitment, job satisfaction, job satisfaction factors.

Abstract

ABSTRACT Workload Indicators of Staffing Need (WISN) was a method for calculating the number of health worker in Public Health Center. However, the result from previous studies show that this method had some weakness. Public Health Center in Pacarkeling Surabaya had problem in the shortage of health worker. Previously, Workload Indicators of Staffing Need was applied to assess the health worker. This study identified the weakness of WISN by company to the objective workload. This was an observational study by using total population of medical, midwifery, and nursing staff in Pacarkeling Surabaya Public Health Center. WISN calculation method was performed to get the final result. They were the number of staff needs and the value of ratio. This ratio compared with the result of objective workload calculating to show the weakness of WISN method. WISN method is not appropriate when applied in Public Health Center. There were some weakness in the WISN method that made this method was less accurate. It is because health worker don’t carry out their job based on main duty, the method using data from previous years and don’t pay attention to labor of productivity. Keyword: weakness of WISN, the number of health worker, Public Health                      Center

Abstract

The era of National Health Security (NHS) enacted tiered referral system start in primary health care. High number of referrals at Public Health Center (PHC) X indicates that the implementation of referral system did not go well. The objectives of this study is to confirm implementation of refferal system in PHC in the era NHS based on the regulations and policies. This was descriptive observational research and cross sectional design with implementation research method. This research used triangulation to get deep information toward referral documents include referral data, registration book, medical records, referral letter, interview with refferal officer, and observation without intervention. This research was conducted at PHC X Surabaya on the Februari-March 2017. The results showed implementation of refferal system has appropriate with the regulations and the guidelines. The implementation has appropriate with 7 section on The Regulation of Health Minister No.1 of 2012. The implementation has appropriate with Guidelines of National Health Refferal include requirement to refer patient, refferal clinical procedure, and refferal administrative procedure, however there is not appropriate implementation: informed consent, contact to refferal destination healthcare, and print out of refferal paper. Recommendation for PHC is to do informed consent and print refferal letters 2 copies.Keywords: national health security, public health center, refferal system

Abstract

Workload analysis is a human resource planning activity to determine staffs’ needs, so organization goals can be achieved. Human resource planning at Rumah Sakit Bedah Surabaya is done periodically by using Workload Indicator Staff Need (WISN). Based on the calculation of WISN method, there is a discrepancy between the number of existing and required staffs in the Medical Record Unit of Rumah Sakit Bedah Surabaya. There is an excess of medical record staffs that will impact on employee’s productivity. Therefore, it is so important to measure the workload based on real condition. There are several methods that can be used to analyze the workload. One of them is Full Time Equivalent (FTE). Data of the workload were obtained with interview and daily log which will be analyzed and converted into FTE index. Based on the results, it is found that the workload of supervisor and medical recorder in the morning shift is normal, but those in afternoon and night shift and helpers are underload. The medical record staffs in Rumah Sakit Bedah Surabaya has been sufficient to handle the patient's medical record needs Keywords: full time equivalent, medical record, workload analysis

Abstract

ABSTRACT There are many factors that determine health care service quality. One of them is the internal factor. This research was done to arrange recomendation increasingdental polyclinic utilization based on Dabholkar quality dimention.This was an observational study with cross sectional design of the 70 respondents who are representing dental polyclinic’s patient in a month. Data were collected by questionnaires distributed to respondents to identify the respondent’s assessment and expectation about physical aspects dimension, reliability dimension, personal interaction dimension, problem solving dimension, and policy dimension of dental polyclinic service quality. The conformity between assessment and expectation of respondentson service quality was analyzed based on Dabholkar quality dimension by using spider web. The results showed that most dimensions have been suitable about reliability dimension, personal interaction dimension and problem solving dimension. While the conformity of physical aspects dimension and policy dimension are not quite good. The conclusions showed that physical aspects dimension and policy dimension are the top priority, while reliability dimension, personal interaction dimension and problem solving dimensionneed repairement are still need to be maintained.  Keywords: Dabholkar quality dimension, physical aspects dimension, policy                     dimension

Abstract

The increasing number of health service industry caused an increase of health service demand. Keeping service quality is a main key to give good service to patient. One of service quality measurement methods is through patient satisfaction measurement. To service quality which given by health service facility this research aim to identify patient satisfaction toward service quality in Clinic “X” in Surabaya. The research has been implemented with cross sectional design using quantitative approach. The research use questionnaire which given to 89 patients. On patient service quality satisfaction, patient satisfaction toward interaction, service environment and outcome quality is in stratified category. Total satisfaction in stratified category too. Perceived customer value is in good category. Satisfaction on aspect interaction quality and outcome quality is significantly related to perceived customer value. Total satisfaction is significantly related too with perceived customer value. Keywords: customer value, quality, satisfaction, service

Abstract

Since 2010, Surabaya has a teen integrated service post (Posyandu) to solve teenagers’ problem, but there were still a lot of teenagers’ problem in Surabaya, such as early marriage. This study aims to determine about National Standard achievement of teen health care services at integrated service posts in Surabaya. This research used a cross-sectional design with a qualitative descriptive approach. The interview was conducted in 15 teen integrated service posts in Surabaya, and the respondents were the coordinator of teenage integrated service post. The results showed that the assessments of services and networking standard were difficult to achieve since teenagers’ interest and socialization were not well organized. Also, there were no specific guidelines for teenagers, so the officers should guess and make their own guidelines. Lots of teen integrated service posts in Surabaya did not complete the form of evaluation and did not record and report their activities. The lack of health management in teen integrated service post influences the achievement of PKPR National Standard. Keywords: health care service, integrated service, National standard, teenage.

Abstract

ABSTRACT More than 80.0% maternal deaths occured in hospital in Surabaya between 2012-2014. Most of them who died in hospital were referral patients from midwife, private clinics, and public health centers. This study assessed the effectiveness of maternal referral system based on perspective of public health centers and hospitals in Surabaya. This was a descriptive cross sectional study. Samples were 43 public health centers in Surabaya and two main referral destination hospitals. Data was collected by interviewing one representative midwife in each public health center and hospital. This study showed that a total of 81.4% health centers assess that maternal referral system in Surabaya District was quite effective. While, one of the hospital assessed quite effective, and the other assessed less effective. The reason was because public health centers difficulty to contacting hospitals about referral, hospitals often rejected referral case, pregnant women often do self-referral to hospital, and incompatibility referral reason by most of public health centers. So it was necessary to repair maternal referral system at Surabaya based on identification of each variables in effectiveness of maternal referral system.Keywords: effectiveness, hospitals, maternal refferal system, public health center

Abstract

Background: The turnover rate in RSIA X Surabaya increased during the last two months from January to February 2018. Turnover rate in January 2018 was 1.56% and in February 2018 was 2.38%. The increased turn over rate in RSIA X Surabaya was probably due to poor quality of work life that can be influenced to performance satisfaction and causing employee resign from their job.Aim: This research aimed to analyze the influence of quality of work life toward employee job satisfaction in RSIA X Surabaya.Method: It was an analytical study by cross sectional design. The samples were 57 respondents chosen by simple random sampling.Results: The result of this research showed that quality of work life had an influence toward employee job satisfaction in RSIA X Surabaya with significance value equal to 0.024 or <α = 0.05. It showed that employee job satisfaction increases along with the better quality of work life.Conclusion: In conclusion, there was an influence of quality of work life towards employee satisfaction. The hospital should take more attention to the quality of work life for employees in the future so that employees still continue working in the organization.Keywords: employee, job satisfaction, quality of work life

Abstract

Background: Social justice is a condition of fulfilling material, spiritual and social needs of citizens to live properly and to develop themselves in carrying out the social functions. The social welfare rate in Indonesia was still low amounted to 62.8 in 2016. Children with mental illness problems experience social welfare. The government has provided support both strategic support and operational support for their lives.Aim: The objective of the research is to analyze the government's support for fulfilling child’s health rights for those who suffer from mental illness.Method: This research was descriptive. The data were collected by using policy review and observation. Policy review was used to discover the strategic support given by government to fulfill health needs of mentally illed children. Meanwhile, the observation was to find out government’s operational support for Kalijudan Surabaya Technical Implementation Unit (UPT) in Basic Social Services.Results: The results show that there is a good strategic support for the children with mental illness. The operational support has been implemented, but not in accordance with the existing regulations. However, Kalijudan Surabaya Technical Implementation Unit (UPT) in Basic Social Services has provided the right of health by cooperating with related parties.Conclusion: It can be concluded that the strategic support given includes Law Number 8 Year 2016 about disabled people, Health Ministry Law Number 25 Year 2014 about child’s health support, and Surabaya Mayor’s Law Number 2 Year 2013 about organization of Kalijudan Surabaya Technical Implementation Unit (UPT) at Basic Social Service Department. The Kalijudan Surabaya Technical Implementation Unit (UPT) in Basic Social Services had also given operational supports for mentally illed chidren’s health needs.Keywords: children with mental illness, health right, regulation
