Abstract

The aim of this article is to investigate heating value of candlenut shell Char briquette by experimental andtheoretical means. The experimental performs the High Heating Value HHV by Bomb Calorimeter PARR12611, and investigation in the theoretical ones by using Dulong’s formula.The result shows that the heating value of HHV is 10697,4 Btu/lbm, and by Dulong’s formula is10549,Btu/lb. There is 1,16% deviation of the two means because in the Dulong’s does not includedissociation effect

Abstract

The aim of this research for knowed residents behavior pattern in to land use settlements camprises behariors and land use spatial variation on riverside settlement at downtown section. The result of this research show that the settlements land use by residents as maximal (has an intensive) for residential activity, working and social interaction executed. The openspaces are forms dominant space at used until to become orientation and activity residents center. Because the land so lack that increasing houses spaces also on the result spaces at houses site without considerating to safety factor, healthy and settlement neighborhood condition with suitable to settle. Construct the public fasilities neighborhood with result space used on the main roads or the common spaces because the fasilities also using together or group

Abstract

Changes to the system activity around Palu Gulf Coast such as, the occupancy of hotel infrastructure, shopping centers and leisure facilities will impact on the Level of Service of Malonda street, in the present and the future. The aim of this study is to provide an alternative solutions that may be done to maintain level of services of Malonda street.The research data includes the data of traffic volume, travel time data of vehicle passing through the road segment is observed. Analysis and assessment level of services using Indonesian Highway Capacty Manual1997 and US-HCM 1994.The result found that the Level of Services of Malonda Street at this time is LOS C, while for the next 5 (five) years is LOS E. Solutions can be done to maintain the performance Malonda street is doing widening the carriageway width of 1.8 m.Keywords: Level of Services, Malonda Street, Palu city

Abstract

The congestion of traffic stream resulting in increased vehicle operating costs and the loss a lot of time forusers. Fuel compsumption will increase and will indirectly increase air pollution due to exhaust emissionsfrom vehicle traffic. Overall congestion caused inconveniens for road users.Flyover at Bundaran Dolog designed to solve the problem of congestion in Bundaran Dolog caused byconflict of traffic movement between Jalan Ahmad Yani that serves as a primary arterial road with JalanJemursari that serves as primary arterial road and a crossing with the railway track in the side east JalanAhmad Yani. LHR Volume forecast made during the life of the plan was first opened to vehicle traffic in2009, ie until the year 2009. Flyover design plans in Bundaran Dolog taken from the Final EvaluationReport Detailed Spatial Plan Area Siwalankerto 2006. Flyover plan this age 20 years olad, which is assumedto be done for development in 2008 and opened to traffic in 2009. Planned each direction of motion consistsof 2 lines, so that reporting requirements per lane ROW per direction of motion is about 10 meters.Based on the results of that analysis, feasibility analysis of development in Bundaran Dolog flyovereconomically feasible. It can be seen from the value NPV= Rp. 177,974,154,514.15 and BCR= 1.99

Abstract

Settlement is the place where human being spent their lives. Its’ environment should be balanced with natural environment together with dweller. Settlement infrastructure is the basic needs besides of food and cloths and its the most important thing dweller. The aim of this study is how to ge detail information through the analysis of settlement infrastructure particularly in the slum areas of down town. Local theory based on the environmental condition of Pasar Masomba and surroundings which is place in the Tatura Utara where lying in Palu river banks. The result of this study showed that some infrastructure i.e., health, education, public area space, roads, and waste are needed
