Abstract

This study aims to demonstrate the effectiveness of the collector on the fluid mass flow rate variations in sunlight collectors on the configuration of the combined 'parallel-serpentine'. Value of the mass flow rate is 0.09, 0.18 and 0.36 ltr/min. Fluid drained from the reservoir of cold water through the collector pipe and into the parallel configuration serpentine configuration and then stored in the hot water tank. The test results showed that the efficiency of a mass flow rate achieved at the optimum 0.36 liter / min. This result is probably leading to suitable for domestic purposes.

Abstract

The purpose this research first, to know the level of society participation analysis and local institutiontowards planning, developing and generator management PLTMH at Paneki of Pombewe Biromaru DistrictSigi Regency; second, to know the role of local institution in the village in order to support this program.This research is a qualitative descriptive which is supported by quantitative with using of survey method ininformation and data collecting. Sample taking is conducted with non-probability sampling by using ofcensus or surfeited sampling technique. Hypothesis test is done by using frequency distribution table andcross tabulation.The results of this research indicates that, first, participation of society towards a planning, implementation,and management PLTMH in Paneki with the low percentage because socialization process is not so well,understanding degree of society is low, the society is focus in their activity, economic condition and sense ofbelonging on existence of PLTMH in Paneki is still less. Second, the role of local institution in this village tosupport this program is very low, because there is no coordination between village government and localinstitution as the channel of inspiration of society and also the attention of local institution towards thisPLTMH is very low.

Abstract

This paper describes the utilization of waste materials such as Styrofoam, Plastic PVC, coal ash dust and tiremarks on the hot mix asphalt concrete mixtures. The purpose of this paper is to explain that the potential useof waste materials in hot mix asphalt pavement.The data presented in this study is a secondary data from the research at the Laboratory of Transportationand Highways Faculty of Engineering, University of Tadulako that has been done by writers and members ofother researchers. In this paper the variables considered are the stability and durability of asphalt concretemixtures using the waste material.The results of this paper presentation shows the potential for material Styrofoam, plastic pvc, dust and coalash can be used in hot mix asphalt concrete mixtures

Abstract

This study aims to establish a management information system web-based office stationery which is expected to help accelerate the process of reporting the use of stationery, and reducing the error information that willgenerate reports that can be accounted for.Based on the test results can be proved that the management information system web-based office stationery that is built to run well, it is characterized by the existing menus to work properly, the data entered into the database properly stored, and application update, insert, and select the database has been connected to the well too.

Abstract

Perceived service quality and satisfaction by users is important aspects on service decision making of travel mode choice. Ojek motorcycle (MC) is an informal public transport recently tends to increase used for short distance in Indonesia cities. This study aim to investigate effect and the relationships of service quality, satisfaction and loyalty of usage of ojek’s MC. the study employs a questionnaire survey and home interviews for ojek’s MC users in Bandung City. The analysis is conducted by using structural equation modeling (SEM). The study’s results are as follows: from second order confirmatory factor analysis, it’s found that time reliability and accessibility factors are significant reflection of service quality, but environment factor is not significant. From analysis the structural relationships between latent variables, it is found that service quality influence directly and significantly to satisfaction and then affect loyalty. Finally, it concludes that the ojek’s MC is still popularity used for urban passenger’s public transport, especially for short distance in Indonesia cities

Abstract

Analyse of the design discharge in the catchment area can be used by some methods, one of them is Synthetic Unit Hydrograph Nakayasu. In this method applying need presumably studied so that result got well enough. The Synthetic Unit Hydrograph Nakayasu try applied in catchment area Kodina in Central Sulawesi to look for the level of deviation of Synthetic Unit Hydrograp Nakayasu with the measured unit hydrograph. Modification of Equation of Synthetic Unit Hydrograph Nakayasu conducted by degrading basic formula the time peak (Tp) from value Tr and peak discharge (Qp) from equation T03 in the form of value α (discharge coefficient). As the result of research show happened by the big enough deviation to nature of the basic unit hydrograph of namely for the Tp = 26% and Qp = 22,40%. So,  Synthetic Unit Hydrograph  Nakayasu cannot be used direct to calculate the design discharge in catchment area Kodina. It’s required research of a kind to Synthetic Unit Hydrograp Nakayasu to look for the coefficient  from value of Tp and Qp

Abstract

It has built a simulator traffic lights to set the length of time the light is green, yellow, and red on a two-way street. Setting the length of time the lighting is made on the C language program listings using the software (software) proteus to solve traffic management problems. In traffic control simulator output variable is the length of time the green light for two lanes. The output obtained from the listing program using C language software to be used as reference data in the creation of programs to determine the duration of the green light. The program then implanted into the ATmega8535 microcontroller IC.The results of the simulator design a traffic light shows, the C language can be used as decision-makers to determine the length of time the green light depending on the microcontroller as a control.

Abstract

The objective of this research is to know characteristics of bitumen binder mixtures plastic of Polyvinyl Chloride (PVC) powder. This research was done in Highway and transportation laboratory of Civil Department, Tadulako University. Percentage of Polyvinyl Chloride powder content based on weight of bitumen. The percentage of PVC powder in bitumen are 2%, 4%, 6% and 8% respectively and comparison with properties of bitumen without additive material. The properties of bitumen include the following: the penetration value of bitumen, the Ductility value, the softening point value, density of bitumen value, loss on heating of bitumen, flash and fire point of bitumen values.The result of this research indicates that the Polyvinyl Choloride powder in bitumen between 2% to 8% still enough for spesification except on ductility properties of bitumen values. This implies that, increment the Polyvinyl Chloride in bitumen potential influence on asphalt pavement include stiffness and brittle of mixtures

Abstract

Blongkeng watershed area is a sub watershed of Progo, located in Magelang District, Center Java Province. Blongkeng watershed is potential catchment area and it contributes on availability of water surface as well as ground water, either locally and regionally. In accordance with Government Act No. 47/1997 which covers National Planning on Regional Space Arrangement, the middle slope to the up-zone of the watershed has been classified as a conservation region especially on water and soil reserve. This study was conducted so as to determine of hydrology characteristics and watershed critical evaluation. Analytical study covered trend analysis and statistical analysis. The results showed that trend of increasing either maximum and maximum-minimum ratio of stream flow, or trend of declining annually average and minimum stream flow. The evaluation of watershed condition with run-off coefficient (C) analysis showed that the watershed was still normal

Abstract

Asphalt Concrete Binder Course (AC-BC) Pavement is a type of asphalt pavement located between base layer and wearing course.  The study was conducted describing the the effect of the use of rice husk ash onthe characteristics of asphalt concrete AC-BC mixtures. The purpose of this study was to determine thecharacteristics of the asphalt concrete binder course mixtures (AC-BC) which uses rice husk ash as filler,determine the optimum percentage of rice husk filler in AC-BC pavement mixtures. Research materials include coarse aggregate, fine aggregate and rice husk ash. Coarse and fine aggregateobtained from Stone Cruiser of Taipa and Palu River, while rice husk ash obtained fromBiromaru area in Sigi Regency. Asphalt used in this study is Asphalt pen. 60/70 produced by Pertamina.Investigation and testing of these materials has been carried out in the Laboratory of Transportation andHighways, Department of Civil Tadulako University of Palu.Research has been carried out by using rice husk ash filler variation of 0%, 25% and 50%. The datacollected includes characteristics of volumetric and Marshall test characteristics of AC-BC pavementmixture on each rice husk ash content. The data include density, VIM, VMA, VFB, Stability, flow, MarshallQuotient value and residual stability of the mixture. The data is processed and displayed in graphical form,  then do a comparative analysis between the characteristics of the AC-BC mixture that uses rice husk ash andwithout rice husk ash.The results of the study found that increasing the percentage of rice husk ash content in the mix AC-BC tendsto increase the use of bitumen content. It can be seen from the increasing value of Optimum Bitumen Content(OBC) on rice husk ash variation of 0% - 50%. The results also gain an increase in the durability of the ACBCmixtureofricehuskashonthevariationof0%- 5%asindicatedbytheincreasedtheresidualstabilityvalueofthe AC-BC pavementmixtures.Maximum stabilityoccursinrice huskashcontentof25%.Keywords: Asphalt Concrete Binder Course (AC-BC), rice husk ash
