Abstract

In electrical engineering technology, especially information technology today can be applied to all areas of life. In this rapid technological developments, information technology can be utilized as a means of information for the primary electrical distribution channels in the form of a geographic information system making it easier for users of the system to determine thecondition of the electrical distribution channel. This study uses a program that comes with ArcView Avenue script programming to implement a geographic information system primary electrical distribution channels in the city of Palu using digital maps. Geographic information system designedand fabricated in this study proved capable of displaying all the information on the primary electrical distributionchannels in which the data taken from the PT. PLN (Persero) rayon branch of Palu city.

Abstract

This study aims to determine how much influence the replacement of lighting (fluorescent or TL lamps, incandescent) with energy efficient lighting towards payment of electricity accounts Untad which has now reached an average of Rp 79,676,246 per month. Data on the number and type of lighting used in this study, obtained from the equipment Untad. From the existing datais known that fluorescent lamps 40 watts of power still dominates its use when compared with energy-saving lamps.Spread usage of these lights in the room numbering approximately 708 rooms in Untad environment. The calculation ofsavings done by looking at the difference in cost between the energy-saving lamps with other lamps for 12,000 hours oflighting the flame. Results showed that by replacing all fluorescent lamps (TL lamps), incandescent bulbs with energy-efficientlighting can reduce electricity Untad payment of Rp 4,396,015 per month or as much as Rp 52,752,180 per year. If adjusted to the age of the lamp will be a savings of USD 253,650,065 while the investment cost of energy saving light bulbs should be issued to replace the entire lamp is only about USD 144.75 million.

Abstract

-Service provider anggkutan common ground (PO), expeditionary passenger land transport executive, in data processing is still done manually. Therefore, when entering and finding data still requires quite a long time. Therefore we need an application system that can simplify and speed up the search or passenger data collection. Ticket Sales Information System Bureau of LandTransport (PO) is a desktop-based applications. This application is created using Visual Basic programming for database processing. Ticket Sales Information System is composed of 3 (three) main menu, the menu is the menu Master, transactions and reports. Menu Master has a submenu that is menu data driver, route fare menu and a menu list of cars. Tansaksi menu consists of 2 (two) sub-menus namely passenger ticket booking and ticket delivery ordering menu. On the menu reports 4 (four) sub-menu that is based on the date of filling the manifest, passenger manifest persopir, perpriode manifestn certain passenger and the passenger manifest month. Report menu is designed to be able to store data to be viewed at any - time and can print the tickets of passengers and passenger manifest.

Abstract

In this study, the algorithm used is Prim’s algorithm—an algorithm in graph theory to seek a minimum spanning tree for a weighted connected graph. The program used is a program created with Delphi 7 programming language used for searching the minimum spanning tree of a graph model with the weight of each form of distance/length connecting the points/vertices. Then display the information search process sequence of minimum spanning tree, the total number of minimum length and the resulting computing time to determine the efficiency of Prim’s algorithm. Based on the results of research, Prim's algorithm computation time in finding the minimum spanning tree of a weighted graph will grow up along with increasing thenumber of points/vertices and the number of sides of the weighted graph.

Abstract

Switching process with the utilization of system LTR (Logic Trunked Radio) begins with the handshake between the mobile datawith a repeater which ensures that the signaling does not occur on the wrong channel and prevents mobile with a strong signal using a channel that has been unused. Determination of the use of home repeater and channel ID in terms of flight safety and interests of users with uniformity throughout the airport which is determined by radio trunking operator. In terrestrialcommunication systems integrated with EF LTR. Johnson's lines of communication that is formed resembles the organizational structure chart so easily developed and communication links between the parts can be easily arranged.

Abstract

A modern control of electric motor’s speed in an industry needs a variable direct voltage. The variable direct voltage can be supplied by semiconductor devices such as SCR. The output voltage of a SCR rectifier depends on the delay angle of theSCR. The aim of this research is to make a SCR rectifier circuit and applying it for observing the characteristics of a shunt directcurrent motor. The result shows the circuit can work to demonstrate the shunt motor characteristics.

Abstract

Stability of electrical system is one of system’s characters that make some machines can operate together in one frequency even there are some interrupts in normal condition or make them back into previous condition either in new or old equilibrium. Some variables that have to be observed are angel of rotor δ, speed of rotor ω, and voltage source of generator vt. In this paper, simulation was done in IEEE 14 bus system at steady state condition, dynamic condition and adding of PSS as a stability tool. The result was PSS could make the system became stable even in new point of equilibrium..

Abstract

The simulation of controlled position dan speed servo motor using Programmable Logic Control (PLC), done by comparate input and output voltage from practical and theory. Controlling position of servo motor has error 2.24% till 22.22% while controlling speed between 0.67% till 2.92%.

Abstract

The study aims to design decision support system using triangular fuzzy number approach in Analytic Hierarchy Process method. The Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) is one of the decision support system method which controls experiences and intuition but critical at coupled comparative scales because it uses crisp. A triangular fuzzy number is used to approach AHP scale so as to obtain more fexible value of coupled comparison. The triangular fuzzy number-AHP method uses analysissynthetic extent in the priority processing implemented on ranking cases of potential acceptors of scholarship of PPA and BBM in Technic Faculty Tadulako University of Palu. The result is the average of mismatch between the result by triangular fuzzynumber-AHP method and the result of manual work which are 23.93% of the PPA scholarship and 27,35% of the BBM scholarship.

Abstract

Harmonic is one of sinusoidal components, one wave period from which having multiple frequency of its fundamental frequency one, leading to electrical power quality problems. Harmonic distortion in term of voltage and current ones, generally is due to non linier impedance. Inverter is one of example of it. There are some items that will be measured. There are value of harmonic at source and value of voltage and current harmonic when inverter does not have any load. IEEE Standard of 519-1992 as a reference in determining maximum limitation voltage and current harmonics. The result of the tests were showed that voltage harmonic distortion at inverter did not exceed the IEEE 519-1992 maximum limitation of 5%. While current harmonic distortion had exceed the maximum limitation of the IEEE 519-1992. The highest results were exceeding 57,52 % when inverter does not have any load. After using passive filter that function for reducing the value of harmonic, the total harmonic distortion (THD) current w only 6,837% when inverter does not have any load.
