Abstract

Lack of interest in learning multiplication math causes a lack of interest in learning math and provides unsatisfactory results. Researchers tried to conduct experimental research in applying the Index Card Match learning model to the learning outcomes of multiplication math at SDN 1 Danyang Purwodadi. The approach used is a quantitative approach with a pre-experimental method with a One Group Pretest Postest design. Data collection techniques used are tests, observations, interviews and documentation. While data analysis using normality test and Simple Paired T-Test hypothesis test. The results of this study are hypothesis testing on pretests and postests which get results of 0.000 <0.05 H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted. From these results, it means that the application of the Index Card Match model has an influence on the cognitive learning outcomes of multiplication math of grade IV students of SDN 1 Purwodadi.

Abstract

Issues about gender seems to be endless in various countries in the achievement of student learning outcomes, even in mathematics learning between male and female students. This qualitative research aims to explore the levels of mathematical reasoning and communication abilities of students who attend language class programs in senior high schools based on gender. Respondents were students who had abilities with different levels of ability, two each representing male and female students. Data analyze from the results of tests of mathematical reasoning and communication abilities and in-depth interviews using method and time triangulation techniques. The results show that female students are superior in reasoning and communicating than male students in solving math problems.

Abstract

Educational math game creates a fun learning experience for students. Following this rationale, this research-and-development study aims to elaborate on the process of developing ICT-assisted instructional media named “GAMA”, an educational math game tailored to Contextual Teaching Learning approach. We analyzed the feasibility of the game media to support the instruction on the concept of numbers at the first grade of elementary education. The subjects of this research were the first-grade elementary school students. The study applied the ADDIE development model consisting of five stages with an evaluation at each stage. The research results demonstrated that the game achieved a decent validity score. The practicality test, conducted through questionnaires and observations, documented a practicality score of 90.36%. In addition, the game satisfied the effectiveness test as evaluated through the comparison of students’ learning outcomes based on the N-Gain score of 0.76. This implied a significant difference between students' understanding before and after using educational math games.

Abstract

This study aims to produce an instrument for assessing the implementation of teaching skills of Mathematics Teachers in cluster 5 of Boawae sub-district. This research is classified into the type of research & development (R&D). Data collection techniques using questionnaire and interview methods. All data that has been obtained is analyzed descriptively qualitative.  The subjects in this study were teachers in cluster 5 of Boawae sub-district totalling 6 people. The outputs of this research are (1) An assessment instrument is produced in the form of an instrument of eight basic teaching skills for teachers in schools, (2) Based on the expert test related to the assessment instrument that has been developed, it meets the valid and practical criteria.

Abstract

This research was carried out at the Faculty of Islamic Religion, Indonesian Muslim University, Educational Study Program, with the aim of this research being to determine the effectiveness of the Educational Statistics learning module. The research method uses a quantitative research type with an experimental One Group Pretest-Postest Design approach, with a sample of 20 students from the education study program at the Faculty of Islamic Religion, Indonesian Muslim University (FAI-UMI). The results of the research show that the results of the analysis, fulfilling the assumptions of normality and homogeneity, as well as hypothesis testing using the paired t test, show that the average value of post-test Educational Statistics learning outcomes is significantly different and much higher than the average pre-test Educational Statistics learning outcomes. So, it is concluded that the application of the Educational Statistics learning module is effective.

Abstract

The research aims to produce an interactive powerpoint learning media based on ethnomathematics of batik kawung motifs on flat building material in elementary schools that is valid and practical. This type of research is development research (Research and Development) with the ADDIE research model. The subjects in this study were media experts, material experts and grade III students from two different schools. Third grade students of SD Negeri Jeruk 2 amounted to 8 people who were categorized as small groups and SD Negeri Girimargo 1 amounted to 22 people who were categorized as large groups. Data analysis used two methods, namely descriptive qualitative and descriptive quantitative. The results of the assessment by the media expert test were 80%, the material expert test by two testers and both obtained results of 76.6%, the expert test assessment was qualified as good. The small group trial amounted to 95.31% and the large group test amounted to 91.9%, the assessment of students was qualified as very good. The pre-test results in the small group obtained an average of 37.5 while the large group was 28.5, both of which were in low qualifications. While the post-test results in the small group obtained an average of 90 with high qualifications, and the large group obtained an average of 75.2 with moderate qualifications. Therefore, this learning media development research is feasible and can improve students' math learning outcomes.
