Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine how the gamification-based OIDECCA learning model has an impact on students' motivation to excel in Natural Sciences (IPA) subjects in grade VII at SMP Negeri 6 Siak Hulu, Kampar Regency, in the 2024/2025 academic year. The OIDECCA (Observe, Idea, Design, Create, Communication, Reflection, and Assessment) model is an innovative approach that combines gamification elements to create an interactive, engaging, and encouraging learning experience. The method used was a quasi-experiment with a design of an unequal control group. The sample consisted of 54 students who were selected through a simple random sampling technique. Data collection instruments are in the form of questionnaires, observations, interviews, and documentation. The results showed a significant increase in achievement motivation in the experimental class with an average final score of 82.34%, compared to the control class which obtained 81.46%. The most improved indicator in the experimental class was learning independence. These findings show that the application of the gamification-based OIDECCA model is able to increase students' motivation to achieve, and can be recommended as an innovative learning strategy in science learning.

Abstract

PT X is a textile manufacturing company known as a prominent producer of woven sarongs. Among its various brands, the X sarong is the flagship product due to its high market value. Despite its large production scale, inefficiencies in the form of waste were detected within the production process. In this study, waste assessment model is applied to detect and categorize different kinds of inefficiencies or waste present in a process. The production flow is visualized using value stream mapping, and the value stream analysis tools are implemented to evaluate each process activity and identify its value added contribution. Root Cause Analysis (RCA) identifies the main causes of inefficiencies, and the 5W + 1H method is applied to formulate improvement strategies. WAM results indicate the highest to lowest waste percentages are: overproduction (22%), defects (20%), inventory (19%), transportation (15%), motion (13%), waiting (8%), and overprocessing (4%). Based on the proposed improvements, 14 non-value-added activities were eliminated, reducing total activities from 133 to 114 and cutting the process time by 139 minutes—from 3,853 to 3,714 minutes. Following the improvements, the Value Stream Mapping (VSM) analysis reveals a rise in Process Cycle Efficiency (PCE), improving from 67.5% to 70%, demonstrating a positive impact in minimizing waste and enhancing production efficiency.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to analyze the influence of leadership, work environment and work discipline on job satisfaction at the Environmental and Forestry Service of the Special Region of Yogyakarta. This study uses a quantitative approach by collecting data using a questionnaire. The population in this study were 77 employees of the main service at the Environmental and Forestry Service of the Special Region of Yogyakarta. The sampling technique in this study used nonprobability sampling, namely by using saturated sampling. Data were analyzed using IBM SPSS Statistics version 25 to see and test the relationship between variables. The results of the partial analysis of this study indicate that Leadership has a positive and significant effect on Job Satisfaction, Work Environment has a positive and significant effect on Job Satisfaction, Work Discipline has a negative effect and there is no significant effect on Job Satisfaction. Simultaneously shows that Leadership, Work Environment and Work Discipline have a positive and significant effect on Job Satisfaction.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of organizational culture, professional competence, and motivation on teacher performance in junior high schools in Jeunieb Subdistrict, Bireuen Regency. The research is motivated by the underutilization of the Merdeka Mengajar Platform (PMM) in rural areas, highlighting the need for a holistic approach to enhance teacher performance. Using a quantitative method with an explanatory survey design, data were collected from 145 teachers through structured questionnaires and analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) with Partial Least Squares (PLS). The results indicate that both organizational culture and professional competence significantly influence teacher motivation, which in turn directly affects performance. The indirect effects via motivation were stronger than direct effects. Motivation emerged as a key mediating factor linking institutional and personal variables to improved PMM engagement. The findings underscore the importance of fostering a supportive work environment, strengthening professional capacity, and enhancing intrinsic motivation to promote meaningful engagement in technology-based professional development.

Abstract

The use of gadgets by elementary school children is a serious challenge that can disrupt their growth and development. Living environments, especially those close to nature such as forests, are believed to have the potential to distract children from using gadgets. This study aims to examine the driving and inhibiting factors of forest environments in reducing gadget use habits among students at SDN 3 Cikakak, Wangon District, Banyumas Regency. This study used a qualitative approach. Information was collected through questionnaires with all students at SDN 3 Cikakak, followed by data collection through in-depth interviews with parents, teachers, the principal, and elementary school supervisors. The results indicated that driving factors include the role of teachers and the science and science curriculum, support from children's social environment, positive family habits, and children's curiosity and enthusiasm for nature. Meanwhile, inhibiting factors include challenging geographical conditions, lack of security guarantees, children's habits that are not familiar with nature, low motivation, and children's continued dependence on gadgets. These findings emphasize the importance of a collaborative approach between schools, families, and parties concerned with forest environmental management to create effective intervention strategies to reduce gadget use among children.
