Abstract

Psychology is the science of human and animal behavior. It is also intended to get a clear description of any evidence or behavior of any population. For example,we want to know the correlation of teenagers’ intelligence and their creativity. It is an example of such case that can be described and measured by using some indicators.Measurement in psychology is very important because it is not only an art but also a science. As science it is empirical. It is of course relies on experiment and observation, rather than argument, opinion or belief.Moreover, Morgan (1961) said that the progress of in science often depends upon the development of quantitative methods. Without such methods,science is limited to crude observation and classification. By using them we are able to refine data-based conclusions.There are so many kinds of measurement that can be used in psychological field, such as test, personality inventory,attitude scale,etc. There are some important aspect that should be noted in measurement, such as reliability and validity.

Abstract

Based on the observation of the researcher, the lack of future orientation amongst students, particularly in the area of career, led by  deciding on study program was not deliberately when enroll in the university.  The research intended to obtain empirical data on the effect of the identity status on future orientation of the work area among students of the psychology program. The method used correlation study. The results showed that there was a significant influence of the identity status on the future orientation in working area. R square (R2) was 0.314, it meant 31.4% of the variation of the future orientation in working area influenced by the identity status. Three of the four identity statuses have a significant influence, namely the identity of achievement, the diffuse, and the moratorium. In despite there was correlation between foreclosure identity with future-orientation in working area  however there was not significant effect.

Abstract

Being a prisoner often raise psychological conflicts. Prisoners often experience mental problems caused by social isolation in the prison, and it may leads to inferiority, guilty, and self-rejection. This study aims to examine the effect of Spiritual Emotional Freedom Technique (SEFT) therapy on self-acceptance of prisoners (Lembaga Pemasyarakatan Perempuan Klas II A Malang). This study used pretest-posttest control group design with purposive sampling of 15 participants for experimental group and 16 participants for control group. The results show that there was an increase from pretest to posttest with significant value of .021 (p<.050). This finding indicates that there is an influence of Spiritual Emotional Freedom Technique (SEFT) therapy on self-acceptance of prisoners (Lembaga Pemasyarakatan Perempuan Klas II A Malang).

Abstract

Systemic Lupus Erythematosus is a chronic illness, in which 90% of the sufferers are early adult women. They faced many difficulties which can cause depressions. People with lupus in Syamsi Dhuha Foundation show high positive affect and said that they satisfied with their lives. This research is a population research to 30 people with lupus in Syamsi Dhuha Foundation, using correlational technique. The goal is to examine the correlation between gratitude and subjective well-being of early adult women with lupus at Syamsi Dhuha Foundation. The instrument for gratitude is GRAT-R (Watkins, 2002) and for subjective well-being are SPANE (Diener, 2012), SWLS (Diener, 1987), and Domain Satisfaction Scales (Public Attitudes and Behaviours towards the Environment Omnibus Survey, 2007). The results are: 1) Strong positive correlation between gratitude and subjective well-being; 2) Twenty seven subjects who show high gratitude; and 3) Twenty one subjects report high subjective well-being.

Abstract

This writing proposed conceptual idea about psychological interviewing approach preventing violence and fighting. Low of perspective taking in solving problems is viewed as a reason. Developmental approach is considered to be an alternative approach for effective program designed. Perspective taking ability is not inherited but learned. Developmental of perspective taking training program could be an alternative treatment. This program should be preventive and being part of curriculum. .

Abstract

This journal was made to describe a real condition of family’s affair and all aspects within family life, how to solve family business and discussing hints and strategies to create a sakinah’s family (harmonic family). Adults—in this article—were the subject and are seen as individuals that prepare themselves to step onto marriage life—which would then all fundamental aspects of marriage life and family business must be learned by adults so they can manage their family and marriage life.An ideal family was built upon consensus of vision and basis of knowledge and not just following emotional pressure and lust. Everything has its own way, either in techniques and strategies to implement all ideal theories in real life. A family which has clear vision and orientation of how to solve all family business can make an ideal roadmap regarding family education for its member; they would also can preserve and teach a meaningful moral values, social, tradition and religious values accordingly.

Abstract

This study aimed to study the effect of behavioral counseling teacher leadership and school climate on student character development in the SKB Limboto Gorontalo. The results showed that that there is a significant positive correlation between leadership behaviors and character development. In addition, there is a significant positive correlation between school climate and character development. Leadership behavior and school climate also significantly correlate with with character development. Leadership behavior and school climate contribute to character development.

Abstract

The research will be conducted based on the fact that most of students are lack of capability to study at higher education. It is proved by the unsatisfied result of their first year study (the students of academic-year 2003, 2004 and 2005). Most of them are realize that they are incapable to study the subjects of their major.

Abstract

Future orientation on education could be called as a goal; target, plan and strategy dreamed and strived by individual to achieve. One of many strategies could be used by student to make those dreams of their future on education to become true is to have self regulation in learning style and methods. In this research we can find out that future orientation on education has a significant positive correlation with self learning regulations.

Abstract

This research has observed workers in PT Pindad Persero and it purposes to know how correlation dynamic in groups, because the kind of works in this PT Pindad Persero is works that must be done in group. If one of workers cannot cooperate in doing work, the achieved result will not maximum and the relation between partners will not be harmony because there is an assignment load. The research method used is quantitative research with correlative analysis. Taking sample is done by using purposive technique sampling. The measurement tool used is attitude scale and Need Satisfaction Questioner (NSQ) from Porter (1961). The measurement tool is designed by using Likert scale producing the data with ordinal measurement level. The result of data analysis shows rs = -0,125. After doing significance test with test statistic, it is known that t= -0,88, it appropriates with test criteria. In conclusion, there is a correlation in this research but it not so significant, i.e., about 0,156 percent. Basing on processing the data, it concludes that getting higher the attitude of group cooperation is, getting higher the work satisfactory level will be.
