Abstract

This research aims to study the effect of organizational culture toward  employee work discipline at Directorate Production PT Krakatau Steel (Persero) Tbk Cilegon. The subjects of this research are 115 employees from several divisions at Directorate Production of PT Krakatau Steel (Persero) Tbk Cilegon. The data were collected through cluster sampling technique. Instrument used are  organizational culture scale, and work discipline scale. Data were  analized using correlational test regression analysis technique. The result show that there is significant correlation of organizational culture for employee work discipline at Directorate Production PT Krakatau Steel (Persero) Tbk Cilegon. It is shown by correlation coefficient of regression analysis as R=0,534, with effective contribution R square (R2)= 0,285 or 28,5%, and significance level p = 0,000. Thus, it proves the hypothesis in this research is accepted.

Abstract

Individu dewasa awal memiliki dua tugas perkembangan utama, yaitu bekerja dan menikah. Kedua tugas perkembangan ini harus seimbang untuk meningkatkan psychological well-beingnya. Apabila individu tidak mampu menyeimbangkannya, maka menyebabkan stres dan ketidakbahagiaan akan terjadi bahkan dapat menurunkan psychological well-being. Salah satu pendekatan untuk meningkatkan psychological well-being adalah trait mindfulness. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis peran trait mindfulness terhadap setiap dimensi psychological well-being pada dewasa awal yang bekerja dan menikah. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah 200 individu dewasa awal dengan rentang usia 20-40 tahun, telah bekerja dan menikah, serta berdomisili di Jabodetabek. Penelitian ini menggunakan alat ukur Ryff’s Psychological Well-Being Scale (PWBS) untuk mengukur psychological well-being, dan Five Facet Mindfulness Questionnaire (FFMQ) untuk mengukur trait mindfulness. Uji regresi ganda menunjukan trait mindfulness memiliki peran yang signifikan terhadap setiap dimensi psychological well-being, yaitu sebesar 35,3% pada dimensi environmental mastery, 31,7% pada dimensi purpose in life, 31,1% pada dimensi positive relation, 24% pada dimensi personal growth, 18,7% pada dimensi autonomy, dan 17,6% pada dimensi self-acceptance.

Abstract

High school students in the city of Bandung occupy the largest population compared to other cities in West Java, The Central Bureau of Statistic data shows an imbalance between the number of students with rough participation rate and net enrollment rate. The purpose of this study is to determine the influence of peer context to the student engagement of high school students in Bandung with self-system processes as a mediator variable. The method of this research is causality correlation. The sample of 632 students were selected using Random Sampling Techniques from 8 public High Schools in Bandung. The questionnaire measured peer context, self-system processes, and student engagement, which were based on Connell's theory. Data analysis was Partial Least Square (PLS) method. Results show that there is influence of peer context on government high school student’s engagement in Bandung with self-processing system as a mediator variable. There is influence of sense of relatedness, sense of autonomy, and sense of competence on the student engagement. The student engagement of high school in Bandung is in the medium category.

Abstract

This research used comparative study to compare motivation between contracted employee and permanent employee who work at PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia Cimahi branch. Sample are 40  employee represent teller and customer service division. Qualitative study is used with comparative analysis. Instrument used is Motivation Assesment Inventory from Denies C Kinlaw (1981. Data analysis result probalility more than 0,5 so that Ho  is accepted and H1  is rejected. It is concluded that there is different work motivation between contracted employee and permanent employee.

Abstract

The purpose of this research was to analize (1) the impact of work motivation to conflict stress caused by doble roles on career women, (2) the effect of spouse support to conflict stress caused by doble roles on career women, (3) the influence of spouse support to marriage contentment on career women, and (4) The influence of conflict stress of doble roles on career women and their marriage contement. This research employed quantitatif approch. There were 30 employees of BNI Makassar branch taken as subjects based on purposive sampling method. The 4 scale research instrument was applied while regression program of SPSS windows 14.00 was employed to analize the data. Study found that (1) there were negative impact of work motivation to conflict stress of doble roles on career women (r=0,436), (2) there were negatif effect of spouse support to conflict stress caused by doble roles on career women (r=0,745), (3) there were positif influence of spouse support to marriage contentment on career women (r=0,645), and (4) there were negative influence of conflict stress of doble roles on career women and their marriage contement (r=0,429).

Abstract

Changes in the organization is important to retain its existence and continues to grow. This study attempted to see the connection between personality factors (the big five factor), organizational change readiness and the criteria of World Class University at University X. Based on the analysis of qualitative and statistical tests associated with the third link variable, then showed that the personality and organizational change readiness have an important role for the achievement of world class criteria university. This research showed that personality profiles of  extraversion and openess to experience as well as aspects of the vision of change and acceptance phase to be decisive for the index of world class university. This result seems to be supported by the presence of the relationship between extraversion profile with aspects of the vision of change and acceptance. The profile of openness to experience also correlated with aspects of vision of change and acceptance.

Abstract

Sex education is the provision of information about sex that aims to reduce the potential risk of sexual behavior. This effort is still taboo in the community, so parents feel hesitant to provide teaching about sex to children. The purpose of this study is to determine the perception of parents to sex education provided to children from an early age. This research was conducted in Jambesari village, Poncokusumo, Malang by using phenomenology approach and involving 5 mothers. The results show that parents perceive sex education as taboo, vulgar and inappropriate to convey to children, thus affecting the involvement and form of education provided by parents to children. The results also show that the need for the competence of sexual education is important to be done by parents.

Abstract

Young learner education aims to increase belief, personality, and daily worship. This research focus on parents and teachers roles increasing belief of children in kindergarten. Islamic counseling in kindergarten is not spesifically programmed since it is still integrated with religion program. Applying moral and religious values is considered  important including 1) basic belief to Allah SWT, 2) basic personality, and 3) children habit in daily worship. Result shows that some children in kindergarten have not applied daily worship appropriately. Parents support are asking praying together, inviting religion teacher, and providing media. Teacher can make schedule for praying together and making media of praying.

Abstract

Based on phenomena in grade 8 students in Mts. AdDa’wa Bekasi, there are few students that tend to draw themselves from interpersonal relation with students at their age outside their peer group. Many question then arise, if there were any significant reason and its correlation between their self concept and social competency. The method used for this research is a correlation model with sample population of 80 subject participant. The data required for this research then gathered with questionnaire and were measured with self concept measurement test TSCB (Tennessee Self Concept Scale) from William H. Fist. Other measurement test were then created based on Krasnor Theory to measure social competency from those students. After data have been collected with we have a correlation point rs=0,598 with  thit = 6,59 > ttab =1,980 which means that H1 is approved and H0 is denied. According to result of this research, it was concluded that the assumption were proved true that there is positive relation between self concept and social competency in grade 8 students from Mts. AdDa’wa Bekasi.

Abstract

This action research aimed to increase trust of the members of Al Bahar community towards the well water so it could reduce the community’s dependences toward clean water supplies from outside. This program has been executed by using participation techniques and empowerment for approximately 2 (two) months with the active involvement of 15 (fifteen) adolescents by increasing their active participation in investigating the problem as well as looking after the environmental sanitation surrounding the wells. The program evaluation of this intervention has showed some significant indications for changes among the members namely awareness of their responsibilities as the user of the wells, reveal their willingness willingness to take care of the environmental sanitation in the area; coming up with ideas to solve some contextual environmental problems.
