Abstract

This study aims to determine the implementation of the halal value chain in the Islamic Boarding School business. In this article, the focus of the study is on the oyster mushroom business, starting from the process of cultivating oyster mushrooms to being processed food, and the sales process at the Nurul Amanah Islamic Boarding School, Basanah, Bangkalan.This type of study is a qualitative study with observational study methods. While the data collection methods were carried out through observation, interviews, and documentation.The results of the study on the application of the halal value chain at the Nurul Amanah Islamic Boarding School Bangkalan indicate that the input process for making oyster mushroom raw materials, processing oyster mushrooms into mushroom chips, and product marketing processes. The input process for making oyster mushrooms starts from providing a place, making planting media, making baglog and sterilizing processes, making mushroom seeds and sowing seeds, maintenance, and harvesting. Then the management process into mushroom chips starts from the ingredients, the frying process, drying, product packaging and marketing stages. Everything is in accordance with Indonesian Government Regulation No. 31 of 2019 concerning Implementing Regulations of Law No. 33 of 2014 concerning Guaranteed Halal Products and a List of Non-Critical Materials (Halal Positive List of Materials) for its supporting materials. It can be concluded that the Nurul Amanah Islamic Boarding School has implemented a halal value chain.

Abstract

Increasing income at some point, the community has shifted its consumption pattern from food to non-food. This research is in response to the current phenomenon of society as well as problem solving and evaluation of the shift of public consumption patterns into modern consumption patterns due to increasing income. The focus of this paper is about the concept of Islamic consumption from the thinking of contemporary figures, namely Fahim Khan and Muhammad Abdul Mannan. The method used is descriptive qualitative with library research and a primary source used from the book Essays in Islamic Economics by Fahim Khan and Islamic Economics; Theory and Practice by Muhammmad Abdul Mannan. The results of this study show that the thoughts of Fahim Khan and Muhammad Abdul Mannan have similarities on indicators of Islamic consumption balance, the concept of Islamic needs and the concept of preference in Islamic consumption. And there are differences in surveillance in Islamic consumption, namely on the institutional framework.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the problems that occur around students on Campus that they have a bank account in Bank Syariah Indonesia (BSI), but they have not mobile banking. This study has three independent variables, one dependent variable, and one mediating variable. This study investigates how perceived convenience, availability of Islamic features and risk perception are on intention-to-use BSI mobile banking with trust as the mediating variable. The grand theory of this study is the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM). The population is 3,650 students of the Islamic Business and Economics Faculty of IAIN Salatiga. The sample was taken by distributing questionnaires through purposive sampling technique. A criterion had been determined previously and was calculated using the Slovin formula so that the number of samples was 360 samples. The data was processed with IBM SPSS 23 and then analyzed using instrument tests, hypothesis testing, classical assumption tests, and path analysis. The first (partial) t-test shows that the perceived convenience variable and the availability of Islamic features have a significant positive effect on trustworthiness. In contrast, risk perception has a significant negative effect on trustworthiness. The second t-test results show the same results as the previous t-test for the intention-to-use BSI mobile banking. The path analysis results also show that the trust variable can mediate the perceived convenience, the availability of Islamic features, and the risk perception of the intention to use BSI mobile banking.

Abstract

The purposed of this study was to analyze the influence between income and household consumption on the welfare of potatoes taffy business in Lubuk Nagodang Village, Siulak Subdistrict, Kerinci regency. This study was assessing the welfare of taffy business in Islamic economic concepts and indicators. Field research with quantitative-qualitative (Mixed Method) as the method and approach used in this research. The research data was sourced from primary data, using multiple linear regression equations as a data analysis tool. This study was shown that the income partially has a significant effect on the welfare of potatoes taffy business that assessed from the Islamic economic concept. Then, household consumption partially has a significant effect on the welfare of potatoes taffy business assessed from the concept of Islamic economics. Besides, the income with household consumption simultaneously has a significant effect on the welfare of potatoes taffy business assessed from the concept of Islamic economics with a significance value of 0.000 0.05, and both variables contribute 69.2% together, while the remaining 30 ,8% influenced or explained by other factors not discussed in this study.

Abstract

This study aims to reveal the factors and reasons behind the large number of Islamic Economic Law students using conventional banks which are then analysed with an Islamic law approach.The method used in this study is descriptive quantitative and qualitative study. Data collection by survey and interview methods. The data analysis used descriptive and deductive analysis approach.The results of this study found that most students use conventional banks, although half of them are aware of the concern of usury on interest. Nevertheless, in practice, only a small percentage of them separate bank interest from their savings. The majority of the reasons they use conventional banks are based on facilities, family and work. Under Islamic law, the use of conventional banks is haram, although there are cases where it is permissible under Islamic law.

Abstract

Nowadays, there are enormous challenges toward this era, especially the young generation between 20 and first 30 years old who will face quarterlife crisis phase in which one of the causes is literate or not literate to finance. The grand objective of this research is to analyze gender, income per month, and marital status toward the awareness level to sharia financial literacy in the quarterlife crisis phase for IAIN Palangka Raya Alumni in 2010-2015. Primary data applied in this study are compiled from questionnaires and interviews with mixed methods. This research uses multiple regression with SPSS application, while the interview data uses descriptive analysis. The result reveals that gender and income per month have no significant influence on the awareness level of sharia financial literacy, but marital status has a significant influence on the awareness level of sharia financial literacy for IAIN Palangka Raya Alumni on 2010-2015.
