Abstract

The objective of this study is to develop a mobile career learning model for electronics engineering vocational high school and reveal the feasibility of the developed mobile career learning model to develop electronics engineering vocational student's competencies. This research utilized research and development method that refers to the Holistic 4D model, includes four stages of development: define, design, develop and deploy with three levels of holistic design and an interactive cycle, namely analysis, design, and evaluation. The define stage includes the performance analysis observations and instructional needs assessment. The design stage includes the design evaluation stage which involves expert with the background of lecturers, principals, teachers, career experts, software experts and successful alumni. The develop stage involves a review of material experts and media experts as well as a limited trial involving students and teachers of electronics engineering vocational high school. The data collection used observation sheets and questionnaires that have been validated by experts. The data analysis used the descriptive method. The results of the study are as follows. (1) The developed mobile career learning model integrates vocational learning activities and career guidance by utilizing information technology in the form of mobile career learning media applications. (2) The developed mobile career learning model is feasible and can be used for career development of students with electronics engineering competence.

Abstract

Many research has proven the good impact of digital learning resources on the knowledge acquisition by students. However, this research only focuses on factual and conceptual knowledge types. In contrast, the learning process in vocational high schools is dominated by procedural knowledge and practical activities. This research aims to produce a digital handbook appropriate in content, media, and utilization in the learning process of procedural knowledge at an information technology vocational high school. Digital handbook components were arranged based on the context of the Competency-Based Training (CBT) instructional approach and Interactive Media Design subjects. The digital handbook was developed under the Four-D model dan Cognitive Theory of Multimedia Learning. The content, media, and practicality appraisal were carried out to prove that the digital handbook is appropriate as a digital learning resource. The material, media, and practicality appraisal involves subject matter experts, multimedia learning experts, and potential users. The content validity average score is 97.80%, the media validity score is 95.50%, and the practicality score is 90.00%. Based on these, the digital handbook is declared practical and worth using as an interactive digital learning resource for procedural knowledge, potentially attracting students to hands-on or practical activities and guiding students to learn independently.

Abstract

Online learning has become a trend for the current generation of students who have been exposed to advanced information and communication technology. Smart education can use pattern recognition. Manual assessments are subjective and inconsistent. To overcome these problems, pattern recognition can be used in the non-verbal aspect assessment system. This study describes pattern recognition in online learning about the functions, modalities, and algorithms and specifically related to the recognition system of non-verbal aspects of teaching skills. The literature study was carried out through the stages of planning, selection, extraction, and selection. There are 86 articles reviewed. The first result is the functions of implementing pattern recognition in online learning are engagement recognition, attention detection, emotion recognition, learning behavior, learning activity recognition, authentication, teaching training, etc. using four classifications of modality: visual, audio, biosignal, behavioral, and CNN as the most widely used learning algorithm. Secondly, all modalities (except behavioral) and CNN algorithm can be used for assessing teaching skills. Early development of the non-verbal aspect assessment system can use Facial Expression Recognition (FER) and Hand Gesture Recognition (HGR). The future analysis needs to focus on technology characteristics, the meaningfulness of the content, and the proper teaching mode. In the end, hopefully, prospective teachers will acquire technology that can make it easier for them to practice teaching and get objective assessments.

Abstract

Currently, medical practitioners carry out blood type and rhesus examinations by directly observing the agglutination reaction and depending on the examiner's eye. Meanwhile, the effects of eye fatigue and saturation will cause inaccurate data. Therefore, a detection device was made which aims to display information about reading human blood type and rhesus on a digital display which can also store the data into a database. The ABO and rhesus systems were used in this study. This research was made using a real-time method based on the internet of things (IoT). sending data in real-time using WiFi Module ESP-01 and other components such as LCD microcontroller, LDR, LED, battery, and Arduino Uno. based on the results of tool testing, the percentage of success values isĀ  91.67%.

Abstract

This paper discusses the evaluation of the implementation of Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) in student industrial internships. Due to the possibility of the risk of work accidents on industrial internship students are prone to occur. Currently, there are still few who discuss the evaluation of OHS implementation as the basis for carrying out sustainable action efforts. Based on the evaluation carried out, the OHS Implementation in Electronics Engineering Education's Student Industrial Internship has been feasible and follows applicable laws and regulations. The results of this evaluation can provide ideas for increasing sustainable action efforts regarding OHS in Student Industrial Internships.
