Abstract

Sambungan FSSW dengan material yang berbeda banyak digunakan pada kendaraan. Namun, masalah muncul ketika material tersebut tidak tersambung dengan sempurna. Penggunaan interlayer Zn mampu meningkatkan kemampuan sambungan. Variasi penggunaan dwell time dan diameter shoulder digunakan untuk memperjelas peranan interlayer electroplating Zn. Pengujian tarik geser yang telah dilakukan membuktikan bahwa penggunaan interlayer electroplating Zn memiliki kemampuan sambungan yang lebih baik. Nilai maksimal pengujian tarik geser sebesar 3.8 kN. Nilai maksimal sambungan tanpa interlayer elektroplating Zn 2.5 kN. Pengujian kekerasan menunjukkan nilai yang lebih besar 63 HV dari pada sambungan tanpa menggunakan interlayer elektroplating Zn.

Abstract

Deregulasi sistem kelistrikan memperhatikan letak konsumen pada jaringan distribusi tenaga listrik, maka titik konsumen yang terdekat pembangkit atau titik awal penyulang akan membayar energi listrik lebih rendah dibandingkan titik konsumen yang letaknya jauh. Hal ini disebabkan semakin jauh titik konsumen maka diperlukan biaya investasi saluran lebih besar, juga terjadi rugi daya sepanjang saluran, serta biaya pemeliharan tambahan. Pengalokasian rugi daya sepanjang saluran distribusi radial pada penelitian ini didasari metode penelusuran hilir ke hulu.Dimulai dari hasil aliran daya sistem yang berupa rugi tiap saluran dan data saluran serta beban tiap titik konsumen. Penelusuran dari titik konsumen terujung, penambahan daya tiap titik konsumen selain daya pemakaiannya adalah daya akibat rugi sepanjang saluran yang dilewatinya dan terbagi secara proposional diantara titik-titik konsumen sampai pada hulu penyulang. Harga energi didasari  penetapan harga di titik awal penyulang distribusi., penambahan harga energi tiap titik disebabkan tambahan rugi energi saluran antara tiap titik yang ditanggung oleh konsumen yang aliran dayanya melalui saluran tersebut. Model jaringan  standar IEEE 13 simpul penyulang radial dan beberapa model bentuk jaringan  digunakan sebagai model  jaringan  uji penelitian untuk mendapatkan program yang berlaku umum bagi tiap jaringan  distribusi radial.

Abstract

Water supply in Indonesia is facing some problems, such as lack of available water resources, lack of water supply services to the whole community and many water sources are polluted. In this study the water supply system in PDAM Tirta Silau Piasa was analyzed, and the results are used as input data for the evaluation of pipeline simulation using Waternet Software. Results of this study showed that the pipe for water distribution will still function properly until 2015 .

Abstract

Hasil analisa arus zero-sequence yang mengalir di dalam generator netral dan pada penempatan Ground-fault sepanjang generator operasi normal dan selama Ground-faults di dalam gulungan-stator yang di tentukan. Pengaruh dari  perbedaan metode dari meng-ground-kan generator  netral pada arus ini di dalam sirkuit primer untuk parameter generator yang  berbeda, trafo dan kapasitansi tambahan untuk meng-ground-kan pemutus generator. Pengaruh ini dianalisa untuk generator dengan netral tidak di-ground-kan, untuk generator dengan resistansi di dalam netral dan untuk generator dengan menetralisirkan Ground-fault meng-ground-kan generator netral. Analisa telah dilakukan untuk resistansi riil menyangkut kerusakan saluran selama Ground-faults sepanjang keseluruhan panjangnya gulungan-stator generator. Hal itu telah ditemukan  metode yang diterapkan untuk meng-ground-kan generator netral, parameter trafo dan generator, kapasitansi tambahan untuk meng-ground-kan pemutus generator, tingkat kesalahan resistansi dan penempatan Ground-fault mempunyai suatu pengaruh substansiil pada aliran arus di dalam generator yang netral dan pada penempatan Ground-fault di dalam kerusakan saluran secara keseluruhan isolasi gulungan-stator generator.

Abstract

This research proposes a design and implementation of a culvert monitoring system, based on amphibious robots that resemble ship shapes. This robot, enable to work on land or on the surface of water. A robot control algorithm, based on Arduino microcontroller programming designed and modeled as human and robot interaction, so users can interact directly with the robot in movement control. The outputs generated on this monitoring system are images and sound. Images and sounds obtained from Mobius camera installed on the robot. The results of monitoring and control of robots is controlled wirelessly, so it can perform robot control and monitoring of long-distance culvert and different places. The system proposed in this study can be implemented and applied in real terms, as a system that can help and facilitate the monitoring of water tunnel

Abstract

Sugar cane fiber has not optimallybeen used as reinforcement of compositematerial. So far, bagasse has been used as  firewood-substitute, raw material for papers, and brake lining. The purpose of this study is to investigate the effect of fiber volume fraction, Vf, on tensile strength of unidirectional sugar cane fiber/polyester composites. The material being used was sugar cane fiber, 268 SHCP BQTN  polyester resin and catalyst . Fibers were soaked in alkali (NaOH) 5% for 2 hours in order to remove their impurities. Composite panels were made with a printing press and the volume fractions of the fiber were 0%, 10%, 20%, 30% and 40%. Prior to being cut into specimens, the panels were subsequenlypost-cured at a temperature of 60 0C for 4 hours. Tensile testing wa carried out according to theASTM D638 standard, and fracture area photo macrographs of selected sampleswere analysed in order to find out the characteristics of fracture. It was found out that increasing the fiber volume fraction resulted in thedecrease of tesilestrength and strain,butincrease of the modulus of elasticity . The highest average tensile strength and strain was obtained at Vf = 0% (31.44 MPa and 9,11%), and a tensile modulus of elasticity was at Vf = 20% of 426.92 MPa. The observations on the photo macrographs showed thatcomposite fracture predominantly occuredspecimens withVf = 30%, and single fracture combined withfiber pull-out was identified for those ofVf = 0%, 10%, 20% and 40%.

Abstract

Ruangan yang penuh barang-barang berharga memerlukan sistem keamanan  elektronis yang bisa langsung dipantau. Transduser ultrasonik dapat menjadi alternatif solusi untuk mengamankan suatu ruangan yang butuh pengawasan secara otomatis. Transduser bisa dilengkapi buzzer atau sirane yang berbunyi sebagai alarm atau terkoneksi dengan telepon rumah, sehingga akan men-dial up telepon rumah jika ada seseorang yang tanpa ijin memasuki ruangan tersebut. Jadi, selama didalam ruangan tersebut tidak ada benda yang bergerak maka alarm tidak akan berfungsi. Jarak jangkauan maksimum dari alat ini adalah 3,5 meter (tergantung sudut antara pemancar dan penerima) dengan waktu rambatan selama 10,19.

Abstract

Relocation Adisutjipto Airport to New Yogyakarta International Airport (NYIA) within ±45 km from Yogyakarta city center by airport train as a liaison transportation modal, it is needed the research of passenger preferences in transportation modal choice analyze to NYIA. Data collection methods used by stated preference (SP) and analyzed by ordered probit model. The results showed ideal distance of air passengers which willing to use the airport train when the airport distance to the city about 37 km. The airplane passenger willingness to pay (WTP) that state “definite use” airport train is about 56.00% for alternative 8. The WTP of airport train NYIA is IDR 50.067 with priority level of service is punctuality. The congestion condition from Yogyakarta city to NYIA airport will decrease 46.75% because the passenger using airport train.

Abstract

The bustle and activity of our daily erratic make us do not know when it comes to the house, where the lights are supposed to be lit. But it was not turned on because no one was home. This certainly makes us into a panic and anxiety, because it will not start from where we are. Another example is in the office, on the road, and anywhere at the time the house empty or unoccupied. From some of the problems mentioned above, the study sought to realize one of the benefits of the existing mobile phone. Utilization of it is to create a tool that can activate the light there at home by using a mobile phone channels. The system is able to turn on or turn off the lights even though the house empty or unoccupied by long distance. With this system we are and at anytime can menggendalikan home appliances remotely.

Abstract

Nowadays, the environmental problems that often occur are flood in wet season and drought in dry season. This happens because the rainwater runoff cannot seep into the ground well and the ground water level is decreased.  Excessive surface runoff can be reduced by a simple water infiltration wells on the land. To determine the efficiency of absorption well, a model was created using infiltration rainfall simulator unit to create the condition of heavy rain. This study aims to analyze the relationship between times and several parameters: soil moisture, the changes in the groundwater table, the runoff time, the volume of rainfall infiltration, and to determine the reliability of models with changes in water table. The study was conducted using the infiltration model unit which was made of steel plate with a size of 170x170x200 cm3. This model is divided into three spaces. The first space, which its size is 150x150x200 cm3, has two tests. The first one is labeled as A test and filled with medium silt with the elevation of -150 cm. The B test is filled with medium clay with the elevation of -125 cm. The second space, with the dimension of 170x20x200 cm3, is used to control the ground water level. The third space is used for measuring absorption capability and has dimension of 30x30x100 cm3. This model has nine holes on each side for measuring soil moisture and the 12th hole underneath is used for measuring changes in ground water level. After the artificial rain descended for 120 minutes, soil moisture and ground water level changes measured in every 10 minutes.
