Abstract

The  Indonesian  Law  No.  14  Year  2005  on  teacher  and  lecturer  and Government Regulation No 74 Year 2008 on teacher, have mandated the government to carry out certi? cation for teachers of all subjects who have met the requirements. Based on a survey conducted by the Directorate General of Quality Improvement of Teachers and Education Personnel  (PMPTK) in 2009, the certi? cation program has not been able to improve the competence and professionalism of teachers signi? cantly so it has not given positive in? uence on improving the performance of teachers. The purpose of this study is to determine the effectiveness of the model of professional competence  improvement  of  biology  teacher  based  on  initial  competence  test  in Surakarta.This research uses R & D approach developed by Borg and Gall (2007), which includes six procedures or stages of development: (1) determine the product; (2) conduct a theoretical and empirical study; (3) development planning; (4) the development of early models; (5) validation of the model; and (6) the discovery of the ? nal product. The ? rst up to the fourth stage has been done in previous studies, and this research is  the  ? fth  stage  namely  the  stage  of  model  validation  through  limited  experiment with  one-group  pretest-Posttest  Design.  While  the  data  analysis  uses  traditional descriptive quantitative approach.The results of the study on the effectiveness of implementation of the model of increasing Biology  teacher  competence  based  on  CPD  on  a  limited  scale  test  show  that  the classical absorption of pretest is 27.78%, while the classical absorption of post-test is 72.22%. It means that Biology teacher competence based on CPD has increased in a limited test scale of 44.44%. The results of a statistical analysis of the increase of pre- test and post-test absorption on each competence shows that the greatest increase of percentage in absorption was on the competence: ?understanding the concepts, laws, and theories of biology and ? exible implementation? for 38.89%. While the lowest increase of percentage in the absorption occurred on the competence: ?conducting action research to increase professionalism? with only 13.27%.

Abstract

The purpose of the study is describing the achievement motivation, charac- ter education, and learning achievement. The research subject are 30 students of VII D grade, SMP Negeri Teras Boyolali. Data collection method used observation, ques- tionnaires, documentation, and testing. Data analysis used a critical and comparative analysis. Indicators of learning success is passing grade, Research procedures and 100% class attedance used cycles. Results of research and discussion shows that: 1) Consrtruc- tivism approach,  help optimising the readiness of teachers in the learning of the initial conditions to the first cycle of 17.1%, then from the first cycle to cycle II, an increase of 30% as well as from the initial condition to a second cycle of 47.1%; 2) Through consrtructivism approach can optimize the preparation class for learning from the initial conditions to the first cycle of 26%, then from the first cycle to the second cycle there is an increase of 22% as well as from the initial condition to the second cycle by 48%;3) Through consrtructivism approach can optimize the achievement motivation of the initial conditions to the first cycle there is an increase student achievement of grade of 23%, from the first cycle to cycle II, an increase of 20%, and of the initial conditions of the second cycle to an increase of 43%; 4) Consrtructivism approach can optimize the educational character of the initial conditions to the first cycle there is an increase of 13% grade achievement, from the first cycle to cycle II, an increase of 20%, and of the initial conditions of the second cycle to an increase of 33%; 5) Consrtructivism approach can optimize student achievement of the initial conditions to the first cycle there is an increase of 20% grade achievement, from the first cycle to cycle II, an increase of 20%, and of the initial conditions of the second cycle to an increase of 40%; 6) through kon- srtruktivisme approach can optimize achievement motivation, character education, and mathematics achievement assemblage material, because students are able to construct their own knowledge, although it can not be separated from the guidance of a teacher

Abstract

The research?s goal is to know the contribution of teacher training, organization climate, and teacher perception about managerial skill of headmaster towards teacher skill in learning activity at SMK N in Semarang by simultant and partial. This research is including ex post facto qualitative research. The population in this research is SMK N teacher in Semarang counted 763 official state teachers (PNS) from 11 schools, with 5% guilty level so that the sample is 257 teachers. It is gain from Isaac and Michael table. In taking research sampling used sample \ random sampling. In this research, data collecting method used anquette or questionnaire. Data analysis technique is done by doubled linier regression with prerequisite test that is normality test, multicolinierity test, autocorrelation test and heterokedasticity test. Research?s result shows that (1) there is contribution of teacher training, organization climate, and teacher perception about managerial skill of headmaster towards teacher skill in learning activity at SMK N in Semarang by simultant, it is shown with significant value 0,000<0,05 with R2 counted 0,382 it means that teacher training, organization climate, and teacher perception about managerial skill of headmaster variables by together can explain teacher skill variable in learning counted 38,2% while the rest 61,8% is explain by another feature that is not researched. (2) there is contribution of teacher training towards teacher skill in learning activity at SMK N in Semarang, it is shown by significant value = 0,000 < 0, 05 with effective contribution that is given to teacher skill in learning activity counted 13,18%, (3) there is contribution of organization climate towards teacher skill in learning activity at SMK N in Semarang, it is shown by significant value = 0,000 < 0, 05 with effective contribution that is given to teacher skill in learning activity counted 16,87, and (4) there is contribution of teacher perception about managerial skill of headmaster towards teacher skill in learning activity at SMK N in Semarang, it is shown by significant value = 0,000 < 0, 05 with effective contribution that is given to teacher skill in learning activity counted 8,14%. Result of classical assumption test shows that regression model is not experience of classic assumption problem or diffraction, so that expressed BLUE (best, linear, unbiased, estimator. The Most Impact given by the organizational climate variables in learning skill teacher at SMK Negeri Semarang as indicated by an effective contribution amounting to 16,87 %.

Abstract

The aim of research to describe:  Empowerment in providing merchandise Production , distribution of merchandise and reporting results poduction units merchandise program marketing expertise Stores in Vocational High School 1 Surakarta. This study used qualitative methods. Data were collected through interviews, observation and documentation. The validity of the data using credibility. Results from this study are: 1) Empowerment in the supply of merchandise can be done by: getting  from the sales,  the grocery store, and congsinyasi Checking on goods that have been purchased and distributing of goods and correctly 2)  Empowerment of distribution of goods can be done by: Human Resources and Facilities optimize existing infrastructure, designing organizational structures, systems Applying pick up the ball, and the Door to Door Sales Program. 3) Empowerment of reporting the sale of goods can be: for writing for all the transactions that occur ,reported to the head of the production unit and headmasterr regularly, distribution of profits based on the AD ART and giving rewards to the  customers.

Abstract

The purposes of this study are: to describe the planning design and the implementation of the system as well as describe the public response to the school. The methods used in this study is a qualitatif approach, that is by interviewing, observing, and documenting as the data collection techniques. The planning of system design, is begun by doing a needs analysis that will be ?shared? through SMS access, i.e student?s attendance, the student?s scores, and the notices to the student?s parents. The system implementation is applied to two users groups. They are internal user and external user. From the results of the test of system implementation it is obtained that the timeliness rate is 6.8 seconds, the accuracy of the system is 100 %, and reliability rate is 100%, and the operating procedure is quite easy and familiar. While the public response fully supports the implementation of academic information system, because it can be accessed anytime, and averywhere through SMS, as well as can foster a public positive image to the school, because of the changes and improvements made by the school especially in the academic services as a new breakthrough in the field of technology.

Abstract

The purposes of this study were: to analyze the influence of teacher perceptions of principal leadership to teacher profesionlisme, 2) to analyze the influence of achievement motivation to teacher, and 3) to analyze the influence of teacher perceptions of principal leadership and teacher achievement motivation teacher profesionlisme Elementary School District as Batang Warungasem. The quantitative approach is used in this research with population consists of all elementary school teachers as Warungasem Batang district with the status of civil servants, amounting to 190 people. The Sample are 148 people. Data collection method in this study is conducted through a questionnaire. The validity and reliability instrument have been test and that result is significant on 5%. The results showed that: 1) the teachers? perceptions of principal leadership have a positive and significant effect to the teacher professionalism at 5%, 2) the teachers achievement motivation have a positive and significant efect to the teacher professionalism at 5% and 3) the teacher perceptions of principal leadership and teacher achievement motivation have a positive and significant effect on teacher professionalism elementary School District as Warungasem Batang at 5% significance level.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to find out the level of the content validity and con struct validity of the questions of the national assessment of Indonesian language subject for junior high school / MTs. The Research method applied in this research was qualitative research method. This research employed the qualitative analysis. To support this qualita tive research, the writer used some tools in the data analysis. They are 1) to figure out the content validity, the writer had matched the test items with the indicators listed in the SKL (Graduation Standard Competency) of the Indonesian Language subject 20102011 aca demic years; 2) For the construct validity, the writer used the evaluation format of multiple choice test items by applying material aspect, construct aspect, and language and culture aspect. After the research was conducted, it can be concluded that the questions of the National Assessment of Indonesian Language Subject for Junior High School / MTs in the 20102012 academic years have high content validity and construct validity. The content validity, the entire indicators in the SKL (Graduation Standard Competency) has been ap plied in the test items. However, the writer found that there are two indicators that are used in four test items. In fact, each indicator should be applied in one test item. The construct validity, by using analysis method of the evaluation format of multiplechoice test items, the writer figured out that 56% 100 % test items are appropriate with the aspects. Meanwhile, the test items which are not deal with the aspects are 16 ? 44%.

Abstract

Most  of  Muhammadiyah  universities  in  specific  region  of  Yogyakarta  have  not implemented yet the quality assurance, exactly it demands both in the society and government that cannot be avoided . Therefore, this study aims to find a specific model of quality assurance in the university environment Muhammadiyah as an attempt to answer the demands in this atas. This research is qualitative research with a target of six colleges in the Muhammadiyah state uni- versities in specific region of Yogyakarta and Central Java. Those are Muhammadiyah University of Yogyakarta, University of Ahmad Dahlan, Muhammadiyah University of Magelang, Muham- madiyah University of Surakarta, Muhammadiyah University of Purworejo and Muhammadiyah University of Purwokerto. The procedure adopted to find the model of quality assurance through theoretical studies, collecting data from informants about the aspects that should be subjected to quality assurance, modeling and verification of quality assurance models. Data collection was carried out with questionnaire, interviews and documentation. Data analysis was performed with a description of the data, the analysis of flows (Flow Analysis), and contingency. The results of this study consist of two models: Model for quality assurance in learning and quality assurance models for lecturers. The  forms of quality assurance is a combination of a standard element of the quality of academic and ideologies of Muhammadiyah, while the quality assurancer are the Muhammadiyah Central Leadership, Daily Executive Agency (BPH) and the Directorate General of Higher Education. The quality assurance models found through networking opinion, in-depth interviews and document the aspects that should be subject to quality assurance to college Mu- hammadiyah Yogyakarta and Central Java. The advantages of the quality model assurance are efficiency in cost and simple in the tools and mechanism that fit to the character of Muhammadi- yah state universities. The mechanism of the model is done by committed leadership begins, then formulate the quality standards by the elements of quality assurance later implemented through institutional self-assessment and faculty independently. The development and ideology of the aca- demic community is done through the assessment.

Abstract

The reseach?s purposes are (1) to describe the characteristics of biology learning plan at SMP Negeri 1 Boyolali, (2) to describe the characteristics of biology learning process at SMP negeri 1 Boyolali, (3) to describe the characteristics of evaluation of biology learning process at SMP Negeri 1 Boyolali. This is a descriptive qualitative research which is carried out at SMPN 1 Boyolali. The subjects of the reseacrh are the principal, biology teacher and student of SMPN 1 Boyolali. Data collection technique used in this research are observation, interview and documentation. Data analysis technique used are data collection, data reduction, data presentation and conclusion.In this reseach, the validity of the data consists of credibility, reliability, and objectivity.The result of this research are (1) the characteristic of biology learning plan at SMP Negeri 1 Boyolali is started by arranging syllabus, followed by arranging annual plan, semester plan, and lesson plan.(2) the characteristic of biology learning process at SMP negeri 1 Boyolali is started by doing aperception, and carried out with some learning methods which are able to increase the learning achievement. The methods use are tutorial, discusion, demonstration, CTL and task giving teaching aids used in the biology lesson are LCD, computer, worksheet which of course, match the teaching material given (3) characteristic evaluation at SMP 1 Boyolali carried out in the form of daily test, mid semester test, semester test, and practice result of the student.

Abstract

This aimed of the researceh is to descript: (1) The implementation of cooperative learning model STAD in IPS learning can improve learning increase of the students in grade  VII B SMP Negeri 1 Kedawung on the second semester of academic year 2014/2015, (2) The implementation of cooperative learning model STAD in  IPS  learning can improve learning Achievement of student in grade VII B SMP Negeri 1 Kedawung on the second semester of academic year 2014/2015. This research use classroom action research method. Subjects of this research are the  students of  grade VII B SMP Negeri 1 Kedawung Sragen. Data collection technique in this research are interviews, tests, observations, and questionnaires. Mechanical checks the validity of the data by the method  triangulation techniques. Technical analysis has done by means of data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The process of research carried out three cycles, in each cycle includes four stages of action planning, action, observation and reflection.       The results showed that: (1) The implementation of cooperative learning model STAD in IPS learning can improve learning increase student of the students in grade  VII B SMP Negeri 1 Kedawung on the second semester of academic year 2014/2015, (2) The  implementation of cooperative learning model STAD in IPS learning can improve learning Achievement of the students in grade VII B SMP Negeri 1 Kedawung on the second semester of academic year 2014/2015. The increase students learning interest can be seen from the results of student interest questionnaire after implementation of the action, in the first cycle  reaches 50%, the second cycle increased to 68.75%, and the third cycle increased to 87.50 %. While student achievement on initial conditions shows that the average value of 68.28 with classsical completeness of  53.12%, after the action on the first cycle increased the average value becomes 74.53 with classical completeness of 65.62%, second cycle increased with an average value of 76.56 with classical completeness of 78%, and the third cycle has increased again, with an average value of 81.56 reached with classical completeness reached 87.5
