Abstract

Comfort and safety of public transportation, particularly APTB PPD buses, becomes high expectations for its customers. Those expectations must be supported by the application of a good engine maintenance system. By using the method of Reliability Centered Maintenance may be determined appropriate actions to mitigate damage. From the analysis known the failures of the APTB PPD bus are malfunctions of the fuel engine, power transfer systems, difficulty to move the gear lever, and lubricating system for the rough engine noise. The cause of engine malfunction is dirty diesel filter, vehicle acceleration malfunction is due to the clutch plate wear out. Difficulty to move the gear lever indicates that the clutch slips. Rough engine noise caused by the flow of oil to the engine stalled as the result of dirty oil filter. The results of the logic tree analysis show that for each failure requires scheduling of time directed task.

Abstract

Malang is one of the industrial centers of tempe chips. To maintain the quality and food safety, analysis is required to identify the hazards during the production process. This study was conducted to identify the hazards during the production process of tempe chips and provide recommendations for developing a HACCP system. The phases of production process of tempe chips are started from slice the tempe, move it to the kitchen, coat it with flour dough, fry it in the pan, drain it, package it, and then storage it. There are 3 types of potential hazards in terms of biological, physical, and chemical during the production process. With the CCP identification, there are three processes that have Critical Control Point. There are the process of slicing tempe, immersion of  tempe into the flour mixture and draining. Recommendations for the development of HACCP systems include recommendations related to employee hygiene, supporting equipment, 5-S analysis, and the production layout.

Abstract

East Java province is one of the rice granary and is an important national food buffer. In 2014, East Java targeted to contribute 60% of 10 million tons national surplus in P2NB program. Objective of this research is to predict rice availability in 2013 to 2020 and analyze East Java readiness on achieving the target. Research steps starts from cause-effect diagram, stock and flow diagram, math formulation inside the diagram, verification and validation of the model, and simulation of developed model. Result of dynamical system indicates availability of rice in 2014 is 3,944,377.7 tons. With such availability, East Java target to contribute 60% of 10 million national rice surplus in 2014 cannot be achieved.

Abstract

Telah dibuat sistem deteksi daging ayam bangkai menggunakan sensor warna dan jaringan syaraf tiruan. Tujuan pembuatan sistem ini adalah untuk membantu masyarakat umum dalam mendeteksi daging ayam broiler bangkai. Sistem ini dibuat menggunakan sensor warna. Tahapan penelitian meliputi pembuatan perangkat keras, pembuatan perangkat lunak, dan pengujian sistem. Hasilnya, sistem dapat bekerja dengan baik terutama untuk mendeteksi sampel daging bagian dada, tepong, dan paha.

Abstract

Hospitals and clinics are included in the criteria of work places with a variety of hazards that can cause health effects, not only for the employees who work in that place, but also  the patients and visitors of hospitals and clinics. With the application of K3 and ergonomics in any existing facilities in the area of the UMP clinic will result in improvement of service quality, and patient satisfaction.  The methods used in this research are Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI) and the Kano Method. The result shows that the percentage of Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI) is 59.8%, it means that the patients satisfied to the facilities and services. Based on the KANO methods, the following attributes have to improved to increase the customer satisfaction, that are the room temperature, the room tranquility, and lighting conditions.

Abstract

PT. Artha Prima Sukses Makmur memiliki lima mesin dalam menjalankan kegiatan produksi sol sepatu yang berlangsung 24 jam setiap hari, sehingga kegiatan perawatan dan pemeliharaan perlu dilakukan dengan baik dan dijadwalkan agar tidak mengganggu kegiatan produksi yang sedang berlangsung. Kerusakan mesin saat ini masih terhitung tinggi dan memerlukan waktu perbaikan yang cukup lama. Perancangan penjadwalan  maintenancediperlukan untuk mengurangi downtime pada mesin, sehingga tidak menghambat dan mengganggu jadwal produksi. Penjadwalan yang diusulkan adalah preventive maintenance dengan metode age replacement. Berdasarkan prinsip Pareto terdapat dua mesin kritis dari lima mesin yang ada.Hasil perhitungan dari data kerusakan mesin sebelumnya diketahui, jika dilakukan preventive maintenance downtime akan berkurang sebanyak 2.85%, dan terjadi penghematan sebesar 38%.

Abstract

Lemuru fisheries in Bali strait, Muncar, Banyuwangi has strategic role for fish canning industries. Sardinella lemuru has low economic value as fresh fish but high as fish canning. Fisheres production system must be viewed as a whole value added system, starting from landing site at fisheries port to fish processing industries and distributed to the consumers. Lemuru from Muncar fishery port are distributed to canning industries, cold storage, flour and fish oil industries. This research aims to (1) describe fish distribution pattern from landing site to industries, (2) determine fish processing cost in industries, (3) determine the economic added value of lemuru as various products. Data collection method are interview with fisher and industries, direct observation and secondary data from research report and scientific publication. Cost in fish processing industries is classified as investment cost, operating cost and overhead cost. The totalcost will becompared to the product price, from which the differenceis theadded value.  Value-added creation also considers the conversion rate between fresh fish products into finished products. Research  shows that, among the fish processing industries under consideration, canning industry has highest added value in the amount of USD 3.5 million/ton of finished product. For the canning industry, every 1 ton of fish can equal be converted to 1,5 ton of canned fish products. Flour and fish oil industry, in the meantime, generates added value of Rp 2.3million/ton. Finally, cold storage industry has lowest added value of 1.8 million/ton of product. Cold storage industry produces frozen fish and has a function for storing fish production in the harvest season.

Abstract

PT . Gaya Motor is a manufacturing company that is engaged in the assembly and production of automotive components incorporated in the group of PT Astra International.Perusahaan implement inventory control system Just In Time.Kanban’s supplier with safety stock of 0.5 days plus a safety stock of 0.5 extra days beyond the kanban. The study was conducted on the material supply products Main Floor Side LH SA - 001 , SA - 002 , SA - 003 , SA - 004 , SA - 005 , SA - 006 , SA - 007 , SA - 008 and SA - 009. Problems faced by the company are the high amount of inventory caused by inaccurate inventory systems and fault current in raw material procurement procedures. The purpose of this study was to evaluate the companys current inventory control system and propose improvements inventory control system that can minimize inventory costs compared to the cost of inventory at the companys current inventory system.Kanban inventory method supplier company currently has a total cost of inventory of Rp 318.861.462,00. Supplier kanban inventory control methods with safety stock kanban 0.1 days has a total cost of inventory of Rp 158.703.378,00. Inventory control methods Two - Bin Replenishment has a total inventory cost of Rp 98.497.214,00. From the results of these calculations, the minimum inventory cost obtained by using the method of inventory Two - Bin Replenishment, and made proposals related to changes in inventory control system.

Abstract

PT. Mayatama Manunggal Sentosa merupakan salah satu perusahaan manufaktur yang bergerak dibidang pembuatan pengaman kaca (safety glass). Pada tahun 2013, terjadi beberapa permasalahan keselamatan dan kesehatan kerja yaitu kecelakaan kerja yang dialami oleh karyawan khususnya pada area proses produksi. Penelitian ini diawali dengan melakukan identifikasi kecelakaan kerja dan selanjutnya mencari sumber potensi bahaya kecelakaan kerja sehingga dapat dilakukan pencegahan kecelakaan dengan menggunakan metode Hazard and Operability Study (HAZOP). Proses identifikasi dilakukan menggunakan HAZOP worksheet. Berdasarkan proses dari identifikasi bahaya pada proses produksi pembuatan pengaman kaca (safety glass) ditemukan 9 sumber potensi bahaya, diantaranya: kondisi lingkungan kerja, pecahan kaca, sikap pekerja, panel listrik, kabel yang berserakan, udara panas, genangan air dan bahan kimia yang berbahaya, kertas yang berserakan dan genangan air.

Abstract

Salah satu tahapan dalam proses panen padi adalah proses perontokan padi, yang secara umum masih dilakukan secara manual. Alat perontok padi saat ini tidak ergonomis, yang dilakukan berdiri pada satu kaki dan kaki yang lain mengayuh pedal perontok, mengakibatkan ketidaknyamanan, seperti pegal pada punggung, kaki, leher, pinggang, bahu, dan lain sebagainya. Kondisi kerja tersebut berakibat tingginya konsumsi energi saat ini sebesar 2,61 Kkal/menit, rata-rata waktu proses perontokan lama yaitu 3,76 menit/unit dan tingginya prosentase kotoran padi yaitu 11.72%. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah perancangan ulang alat perontok padi yang ergonomis untuk meningkatkan produktivitas dan kualitas kebersihan padi. Data yang digunakan pada penelitian ini meliputi data keluhan operator, waktu proses, denyut jantung, tingkat kebersihan padi, dan data antropometri. Untuk menguji keandalan dan kesahihan data dilakukan pengujian statistic meliputi uji normalitas, uji keseragaman dan uji kecukupan data. Perangkat lunak Solidworks 2014 digunakan untuk mendesain alat perontok padi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan penurunan waktu proses sebesar 65,69%, penurunan konsumsi energi sebesar 67,43%, penurunan kotoran dalam padi 79,52%, dan peningkatan produktivitas sebesar 205,5%.
