Abstract

Malang is one of the industrial centers of tempe chips. To maintain the quality and food safety, analysis is required to identify the hazards during the production process. This study was conducted to identify the hazards during the production process of tempe chips and provide recommendations for developing a HACCP system. The phases of production process of tempe chips are started from slice the tempe, move it to the kitchen, coat it with flour dough, fry it in the pan, drain it, package it, and then storage it. There are 3 types of potential hazards in terms of biological, physical, and chemical during the production process. With the CCP identification, there are three processes that have Critical Control Point. There are the process of slicing tempe, immersion of  tempe into the flour mixture and draining. Recommendations for the development of HACCP systems include recommendations related to employee hygiene, supporting equipment, 5-S analysis, and the production layout.

Abstract

Penelilian  clikawasan  indusrri  pengecoran  logam Klatett  ini, memberikan masukan bagi posisi perusahaan Firma Sidodadi  (FS) menghodapi  persaingan, dalom menghasilkan  produk logam, sehingga manajemen  Firma Sidodadi  dapat mempersiapkan  strategi  yang  aktif bagi kelangsungan hidup perusahaan.  Perusahaan Firma Sidodadi  mempunyai  pesaing  terdekat yaitu Bonjor  Jaya  (BJ), Inti Baja  (lB) dan Solo Casting  (SC). Berdasarkan analisis rnatrik Boston Consulting  Group.  perusahaan  Firma  Sidodadi  berada pada  posisi Dogs,  dimana  pangsa pasar produk rendah  dan pertumbuhan  posar rendah.  CV Bonjor Jaya poda posisi Stars, pertumbuhan dan pangsa pasar  tinggi  dengan pesaing cukup  tinggi. CV Inti Bajo dan CV Solo Casting berada pada posisi Question Mark,  dimana perturnbuhan  pasar relatif  tinggi dan posisi  persaingan relatif rendah sehingga perusahaan  dapat menciptakan  kiat untuk menjadi market  leader. Berdasarkan  hasil analisis matrik SWOT  dan diagram  hubungan, perusahaan Firma Sidodadi sedini mungkin,  harus mempersiapkan  kemampuan  yang dimiliki,  baik  faktor internal  dan  faktor eksternal, berupa ; peningkatan  kegiatan promosi dan segmentasi  pasar,  peningkatan kerjasama dengan para  kolega, pengembangan keanekaragaman produk, penciptaan  kualitas  produksi. Pelayanan  yang  optimal  pada pelanggan,  dan peningkatan  kerjasama dengan  pesaing.

Abstract

CV. Gracia has offset printing machines that often have downtime due to engine failures. The low effectiveness of the offset printing machines could cause losses to the company. Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) method is a tool to determine the success rate of Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) based on categories of availability, performance, and quality. The OEE average value of the company in 2014, 57%, is relatively low. In this study, causes of this low OEE is analyzed using Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA) and fishbone diagram. Improvements such as relocation of raw material and colourful catalog were subsequently proposed and implemented during April - May 2016. The implementation resulted in OEE average value of 60%.

Abstract

The formulation of performance indicators is good and meaningful must meet the criteria CREAM (clear, relevant, economic, adequate, and monitorable). In practice, it is often found performance indicators can not be applied because it has a variety of interpretations in the criteria of measurement. The problem is discussed using focus group method (FG). The results of the discussion have succeeded in identifying and consensusing the six criteria for measuring the key performance indicators (KPI) for the implementation of competency-based training, ie training needs analysis, syllabus curriculum, modules, training implementation guidelines, evaluation of training, and evaluation of training implementation (satisfaction and learning). The use of the FG method in this study is effective enough to generate many ideas and the participation of internal stakeholders in solving the problem. The success of FG is highly dependent on pre-discussion planning, especially the deepening of the issues studied and the determination of data sources or participants, who understand the issues being discussed.

Abstract

Problems related to the storage of shoes include discomfort in putting shoes and shoes are still dusty. Shape shelves are generally open. Shoe rack products need to be developed using integration of axiomatic design method with house of quality or called axiomatic house of quality (AHOQ). AHOQ is a modification of HOQ that aims to reduce errors arising from the translation of user statements that are not appropriate in the needs of the product. With the customer requirements are clear, then can determine the functional requirements and design parameters are more appropriate. This research produces dimension specification of shoe rack according to anthropometry data of Indonesia and for material used. Shoe rack is also designed to have a door made of acrylic tansparan, so in addition to protect shoes from dust, facilitate in finding and finding shoes to be used. Testing using ANSYS software, obtained the ability to receive maximum pressure and product safety factors.

Abstract

Produk hasil pengolahan ikan, terutama ikan asap di Indonesia terus meningkat dari tahun ke tahun. Peningkatan jumlah produksi ikan asap ini harus diimbangi dengan peningkatan kualitasnya agar dapat bersaing di pasar bebas ASEAN (MEA). Selama ini produk ikan asap dalam negeri kurang begitu diminati oleh konsumen serta identic dengan tingkat higienitas dan aspek sanitasi yang kurang baik. Untuk itulah perlu dilakukan identifikasi terhadap kebutuhan konsumen ikan asap untuk dapat meningkatkan kualitasnya. salah satu caranya adalah dengan menggunakan metode QFD (Quality Function Deployment) yang selama ini telah sering digunakan. Dari hasil penelitian yang dilakukan, didapatkan hasil bahwa  variable yang paling fiinginkan dan dibutuhkan konsumen adalah kebersihan dan keamanan untuk dikonsumsi. Sedangkan untuk karakteristik teknis pada ikan asap yang perlu untuk dikembangkan lebih lanjut adalah sistem pengemasannya.

Abstract

Sarong goyor becomes one of the excellent product of Sukoharjo city. Most of the production centers of small medium enterprise (SME) sarongs have been exported overseas, especially to African countries and the Middle East. The business of making this sarong is a hereditary business that is still maintained until now, which in the production process is still done manually using non-machine loom (ATBM). This study aims to determine the relative efficiency of SMEs gloves by using the integration of fuzzy concepts and Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA). The input variables considered include raw material costs (CMTR), direct labor costs (CDHR), and other costs (FCST). The output variables analyzed consist of sales (REVN) and profit (PRFT). The results show that there are four SMEs as an inefficient Decision Making Unit (DMU), in one DMU operating on decreasing return to scale (DRS) and three DMUs operating on increasing return to scale (IRS).

Abstract

The cement distributor has a cement warehouse in Pasuruan. Cement warehouse always ready to be shipped to a regular customer. Current demand from customers remains unfulfilled because the number of corporate modes of transportation is not proportional to the number of cement demand. Thus, the company plans to add the truck with two alternatives of buying new trucks or renting Hino Ranger FG 235 JJ. To determine the best alternative, an assessment of the criteria for the addition of trucks is required. In this study AHP is used to determine the level of importance among the criteria, assess the criteria of discounts, shipping security, corporate attributes listed in vehicles, cost, age, administration, maintenance, risk of damage, availability. The result of the criteria weighting is used as the input for the selection of the best alternative in the TOPSIS method. The results obtained from the calculation of TOPSIS for alternative purchase of a new truck and renting that have value of 0.599 and 0.401.

Abstract

This research aims to investigate, identify and describe the performance level and the factor which impacts to the performance of the Perpustakaan Tun Seri Lanang (PTSL) using Balanced Scorecard approach. The descriptive analysis was used to proceed data on 4 perspectives, were financial, customer, internal business process and learning and growth, respestively. The questionnaires were distributed to 24 employees and 120 questionnaires were distributed to customers. The finding shosw that performance level of PTSL is in good category by the total score 41.75. Performance level of another perspective shows financial performance is very good by the total score 9, customer performance is good by the total score 3.62, internal business process performance is very good by the total score 8.79 and learning and growth performance is good by the total score the 19.34. Based on findings recommendation is formulated in order that PTSL should focus on employee productivity and customer satisfaction.

Abstract

One of the noodle sohun industry is located in Daleman Village, Klaten District. The process of making is done manually and using a simple tool, through 4 workstations, namely: palm sugar mill work station, palm juice cooking station, cooking station, and printing station. The purpose of the research is to find out the complaints of workers using Nordic Body Map (NBM) , the risk of work posture using the Manual Task Risk Assessment (ManTRA) method, and provide a safe solution to implement. The results of the NBM questionnaire showed that the categories with the very right shoulder pain were 36.4% and the left wrist was 36.4%. The results of the ManTRA method are: the printing work station has the highest musculoskeletal risk, while the lowest risk is on the arsenic squeeze work station.
