Abstract

This study aims to analyze the muscle activity in the upper body of the hand posture. Measurements are made when the workers perform the activities of making pottery in a sitting position. Measurements use surface electromyography and differentiate sex between men and women. The research steps were: (1) worker capture resulted in ten postures, (2) determination of muscle influences, namely: extensor carpi radialis muscle, extensor carpi ulnar muscle, extensor of the wrist muscle, biceps brachii muscle, flexor carpi radialis muscle, and (5) calculate using root mean square (RMS) and RMS value index RMS value and deviation index RMS value of male - higher than women in each muscle and in every posture.

Abstract

An algorithm for velocity planning on a continuous-curvature path of a pair of automated guided vehicles (AGVs) that minimizing its travelling time is presented. A class of 3-degree Bezier curves is used as basic form of the path. In addition, constraints of maximum allowable linear and radial accelerations are considered. The velocity plan algorithm is generated based on the characteristics of the path’s control points and maximum allowable radial velocity on some the path’s points. A set of properties of the allowable radial velocity is discussed. The verification of the new algorithm is revealed in the simulation results.

Abstract

This article measures and identifies waste and designs alternatives to reduce waste in one SME in Yogyakarta, thus increasing efficiency. The lean manufacturing approach uses Value Stream Mapping that applies sustainability concepts. The research methodology used in this research is case study strategy. Based on the analysis of Current State Mapping there are many activities that are not important and should be reduced. The sustainability aspect in Gendhis Bag covers the environmental aspect with a 10% limit on skin waste and 15% for PVC waste. Energy consumption for production is 750 watts and labor cost is Rp 32,800 per unit. Safety operators have a very small accident rate, while the largest Physical Load Index score is in the cutting department. Future state VSM shows that NNVA and NVA time can be significantly reduced and lead time can be reduced, so production can increase 12 units per day.

Abstract

PT. "X" is a company engaged in the aluminum foundry industry. Pan is a product that every day is produced by the company PT. "X. This study determines the characteristics of the products that customers want and reduce the presence of defective products in the manufacture of the skillet to the improvement of product quality. Research methods is DMAI in six sigma method as measures to improve product quality pan. The characteristics of the products that customers want is a thick pan. Customer satisfaction PT. "X" is met with production pans that do not have a big hole, a small hole, and the line - the line broke on the surface of the pan so that the consumption or use of the pan into a durable. Sigma level of PT. "X" amounting to 2,785 sigma which means it is still far from the level of six sigma. Improvements to minimize the occurrence of defects porous product skillet needs to be done on the operator that the process of entering the liquid aluminum into a mold to be in a state of fluid color pink, raw materials that take the raw materials that do not melt before the liquid aluminum inserted into a mold and method of production process pan  namely the application of whitewash is done evenly to all parts of the upper surface of the mold.

Abstract

The quality of water as a raw material in the process of food production has an important role. Water quality control is the key in maintaining production. This is the underlying purpose of this study to make improvements in its production activities to reduce the number of defective products in the production process. Water quality control of production is done by specifying several parameters, such as pH, turbidity, and iron. This study uses the concept of Six Sigma DMAIC.Pareto diagram shows water tends to acid, muddy, and contain much iron. Furthermore, the fishbone diagram is used to determine the percentage biggest defect. Improvement performed at the highest RPN value of around 630 in the filter. In addition, the value of sigma level before improvement around 3.3 with the possibility of defects approximately 34491 to a million process. Furthermore, the level of sigma after improvement roughly 4:09 with the possible failure of the process around 5526.

Abstract

Salah satu tahapan dalam proses panen padi adalah proses perontokan padi, yang secara umum masih dilakukan secara manual. Alat perontok padi saat ini tidak ergonomis, yang dilakukan berdiri pada satu kaki dan kaki yang lain mengayuh pedal perontok, mengakibatkan ketidaknyamanan, seperti pegal pada punggung, kaki, leher, pinggang, bahu, dan lain sebagainya. Kondisi kerja tersebut berakibat tingginya konsumsi energi saat ini sebesar 2,61 Kkal/menit, rata-rata waktu proses perontokan lama yaitu 3,76 menit/unit dan tingginya prosentase kotoran padi yaitu 11.72%. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah perancangan ulang alat perontok padi yang ergonomis untuk meningkatkan produktivitas dan kualitas kebersihan padi. Data yang digunakan pada penelitian ini meliputi data keluhan operator, waktu proses, denyut jantung, tingkat kebersihan padi, dan data antropometri. Untuk menguji keandalan dan kesahihan data dilakukan pengujian statistic meliputi uji normalitas, uji keseragaman dan uji kecukupan data. Perangkat lunak Solidworks 2014 digunakan untuk mendesain alat perontok padi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan penurunan waktu proses sebesar 65,69%, penurunan konsumsi energi sebesar 67,43%, penurunan kotoran dalam padi 79,52%, dan peningkatan produktivitas sebesar 205,5%.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui apakah ada perbedaan yang siqnifikan dalam variabel dependen (Y) yang meliputi konsumen sering Beli (YO), Cukup (Y I) dan Jarang Beli (Y2), serta bertujuan mengetahui perilaku konsumen yang benar-benar berbeda, perbedaan dalam  arti perilaku   mereka  sering  membeli, cukup dan jarang membeli. Metode analisis  yang digunakan adalah dengan Wilks Lambda, Pairwise, F test. Canonical  corellation,   untuk  mencari ada dan tidak perbedaan antar group variabel dependen dan  menginterpretasikan     berdasarkan function at group centroid untuk mengetahui variabel independen mana yang   menjadi  faktor diskriminannya. Hasil yang didapat dari penelitian ini adalah  bahwa  variabel  menu  merupakan faktor pembeda (diskriminan).  Artinya konsumen grup (sering  beli,  cukup  dan jarang   beli)  tidak terpengaruh   dengan  usia,  harga,  pendapatan,   dan pelayanan  yang  diberikan oleh RM. Pak Kardi ditunjukkan dengan tanda (+) padafunction I. Jadi  konsumen  yang  membeli  di RM. Pak  Kardi adalah  mereka  yang  benar-benar   menyukai menu  (masakan  khas kepiting) RM. Pak Kardi.  Jarak antara  grup  Sering  Beli  dengan grup  Jarang   Beli  adalah yang  terbesar, yakni 7,350. Sedangkan jarak   terkecil   adalah antara grup  Cukup  dengan  grup  Jarang   Beli  (0.522). Dengan demikian dapat  dikatakan   bahwa  Konsumen   di grup  Sering  Beli paling berbeda  selera  Menu  masakannya. Sebaliknya   Menu yang  disukai  oleh  konsumen di RM. Pak Kardi yang termasuk konsumen Cukup mempunyai perbedaan yang  kecil dengan  mereka  yang jarang membeli

Abstract

This study is concerned with maintenance on a heavy equipment excavator 390D series HE4019, one of the main tools used to support the process of nickel production. Major constraint in using this tool is an insufficiently planned maintenance such that the tool affected operational and production process of nickel. Failure mode and effect analysis (FMEA) method is used to identify the risks of failure of critical components on the performance of the unit. Based on risk priority number (RPN), three critical components are found as leading causes of unit downtime. These are stick cylinder (RPN 288), fuel filter (RPN 280) and oil pan (RPN 240), respectively. Mean time between failure (MTBF) scores of stick cylinder, fuel filter and oil pan are 1,288.91 hours, 334.04 hours and 1,455.77 hours, respectively. Each of making rod of the cylinder covered, periodically flushing the fuel tank and taking on a warning sign on the couplers and coating the gasket with an additional layer during installation, in the meantime, are proposed as preventive maintenance for each the three critical components.

Abstract

PT. Brodo Ganesha Indonesia is a national company engaged in manufacturing with the production of leather shoes. The company has many stakeholders and it is difficult to manage its supply chain, thereby affecting the effectiveness and efficiency of the companys supply chains. The research was conducted to measure the performance of supply chain by using Supply Chain Operation References (SCOR) approach. The initial hierarchy model of performance measurement is tailored to the companys condition to measure its supply chain performance, while the normalization of Snorm De Boer serves to equalize the value of the matrix used as the measurement indicator. The level of importance of performance attributes is measured by weighting with subjective questionnaires. Value of performance attribute obtained reliability 19,74, responsiveness 16,91, agility 11,00; and asset management 12.26. The total performance score of 59.90. This value indicates that the performance of the supply chain is in an average position.

Abstract

Recently, creative industries growth significantly. However, this growth is still constrained by various factors, one of which is the funding. This aspect has not been solved well although there has full government support. This is due among other things: 1) there is no form of financing schemes in accordance with the creative industries; 2) the amount of commitments lending by financial institutions is not adequate. 3) have not been socialized and performing well. This constraint requires more detailed analysis of the aspects most and very influential on the growth of the creative industries. This research was conducted through analysis of the logical framework approach as well as industrial cluster approach to the object in the fashion and design , which is well established in Bandung. Outcomes were include: 1) identification of critical success factors (CSF) in small industry based on the demand and the potential of the locality; 2) the mapping capitalization model of stimulus and treatment of the CSF; 3) analysis of products value-added based on demand and market; 4) analysis of capital policy for the creative industry.
