Abstract

Gambir adalah sejenis getah yang dikeringkan yang berasal dari ekstrak remasan daun dan ranting tumbuhan bernama sama (Uncaria gambir Roxb.) yang memiliki beragam manfaat untuk kesehatan. Buah gambir mengandung antioksidan yang sangat tinggi, katekin, flavonoid, alkaloid, dan zat penyamak. Buah gambir sering digunakan para ibu- ibu dan nenek- nenek untuk campuran menyirih yang berguna untuk menguatkan gigi sehingga tidak mudah keropos ataupun patah. Buah gambir memiliki banyak manfaat khususnya untuk kesehatan tubuh, antara lain : mengobati sakit kepala terutama sakit kepala sebelah atau migrain, mengobati diare akut, mengatasi penyakit disentri, meredakan penyakit radang tenggorokan, menyembuhkan penyakit panas dalam yang mengganggu kesehatan mulu dan gusi, mengobati luka bakar, serta mengatasi sariawan dan bibir pecah- pecah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menginformasikan teknik pengolahan gambir secara tradisional, dimana diharapkan hasil penelitian ini dapat bermanfaat bagi pengembangan budidaya tanaman gambir serta usaha produksi gambir. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pembuatan gambir dapat dilakukan dengan cara sederhana dan menggunakan peralatan tradisional serta Gambir yang dihasilkan dari pengolahan secara tradisional tersebut berkualitas baik (mutu I).

Abstract

In order to fulfil the high water demand in Banda Aceh City, the Lambaro Water Treatment Plant (WTP) has been operating above its designed capacity. The produced and distributed water quality is decreasing in term of turbidity, as well. It is indicated by some events that the distributed water exceeds the allowed limit. The additional burden is that due to rainy season and human activities at river upstream, the raw water turbidity is higher than expectation in several occasions. This study is conducted to evaluate the influence of production flow rate and raw water turbidity on distributed water turbidity. The data used in this study is acquired from the SCADA system with time range from January to May 2014.

Abstract

QSAR studies had done on derivatives of triazolopiperazine amide as inhibitors DPP IV enzyme that causes diabetes mellitus type 2. The studies had began by modeling the structures of the derivatives of triazolopiperazine amide and calcutating the descriptors of QSAR by semiempirical AM1 method which available on HyperchemÒprogram. QSAR analysis had done by multilinear regression method analysis which is available on SPSSÒprogram using electronic and molecular parameters. The best QSAR equation model for method of semiempirical AM1:-log IC50 =  152.252 + (18,.295*qC1) + (2.343*qC5) + (2263.448*qC9) +  (1662.252*qC10) – (350.806*qC15) + (639.687*qO25)+ (6.515*EH)n = 18; r2 = 0.712; adjusted r2 = 0.510; Fhit/Ftab = 1.124; PRESS = 0.006 The main side of the compound can be determined through the equation. It can be used to study in preventing the disease of DM2 by inhibiting of enzyme DPP IV.

Abstract

This research studies about measurement of environmental physical characteristics such as temperature, humidity, and solar radiation which had done in strawberry field of Purbalingga, Jawa Tengah. The measurement had done to determine physical data values in the field and to give additional data for increasing the harvest productivity. The data had been aggregated by direct measurement in the field as long as 24 hours. Thus, the data are converted into a model which shows interpretation between the charracteristic parameter and time. Its result is used to make nonlinear interpolation in order to predict unmeasured values in this study. The study also measures the mass of the fruits for several sample. The results are analized comprehensively in environmetal physical characteristics and the fruits quality based on the additional data. These show that the ideal elevation field is 1297 m msl, temperature about 17.1-24.7 oC, humidity about 40.2-90.5 %, solar radiation ± 11 hours which gained at 06.00-17.00 WIB is 0-38x103 lxand fuits average mass in 16.779 g/fruit

Abstract

Degradation of malachite green has been done. In this research, degradation process of malachite green was done by ozonolisis method, using TiO2- anatase and ZnO catalyst. The residu of malachite green was centrifuged and measured by spectroscopy UV / Vis at 200-800 nm after degradation. 6 mg / L malachite green diozonolisis for 5 minutes obtained pH optimum at pH 7. 6 mg / L malachite green was added 0.025 mg TiO2-anatase catalyst, and 0.025 mg ZnO at pH 7 with a variation time obtained optimum time of 5 minutes. Percent degradation of malachite green is generated by the addition of 0.0250 grams of TiO2-anatase 99.77% and 0.0250 grams of ZnO 93.59%. Percent of the results showed that the degradation of degradation with the addition of TiO2-anatase is greater than the addition of ZnO, because of the stability of TiO2- anatase is large.

Abstract

Conducting data analysis on a large set of documents is not an easy task. The common stages are document filtering, document selection, and document clustering. Clustering is a technique used in data mining to find groups of data that do not have a natural grouping. There are many clustering algorithm have been introduced, and two of them are K-means and K-medians. Both methods classify documents based on the proximity of words weighting between documents. This study aims to compare the quality of the clusters produced by K-means and K-medians. The results show that K-medians obtain a better cluster quality when compared to K-means. However, it takes more time to cluster.

Abstract

Rangka (tulang) merupakan struktur penting penyusun tubuh manusia. Terdapat beberapa penyebab yang dapat mengakibatkan kelainan-kelainan pada tulang yang kemudian menggangu efektifitas fungsi tulang. Dalam hal ini patah tulang (fraktur) dan pengapuran tulang (osteoporosis) merupakan 2 kondisi yang sangat sering ditemukan. Pada penelitian ini akan dilakukan pengujian metode pengolahan citra digital dengan analisis tekstur pada penentuan kondisi tulang femur. Secara umum, sistem pengenalan kondisi tulang femur tersebut terdiri dari dua bagian utama, yaitu ekstraksi ciri menggunakan analisis tekstur yang menghitung nilai-nilai statistik citra bersasarkan histogramnya serta klasifikasi dengan metode K nearest neighbor (KNN). K-NN merupakan metode pengenalan objek berdasarkan perhitungan jarak terdekat dengan data pembelajaran. Pada kondisi fraktur ekstraksi ciri dengan operasi morfologi menunjukkan adanya diskontinuitas, hal ini yang kemudian akan menjadi indikasi pada kondisi femur fraktur, begitu pula dengan pengenalan morfologi pada kondisi lainnya. Adapun hasil pengujian dan analisis simulasi sistem menunjukkan bahwa pengujian secara terpisah pada masing-masing kondisi memiliki nilai akurasi yang lebih tinggi dibandingkan pengujian secara bersamaan. Untuk pengujian osteoporosis memiliki nilai akurasi tertinggi yaitu 90%. Perbaikan metode pada tahap pre-processing diharapkan mampu meningkatkan nilai akurasi yang diperoleh begitu juga dengan penambahan jumlah data yang digunakan. Kata kunci :

Abstract

Telah dilakukan perluasan model black hole schwartzchild dengan pendekatan metrik yang gayut waktu. Selain itu, dianalisis pula konsekuensi fisis akibat black hole bergerak dengan kecepatan seragam terhadap pengamat. Hasil yang di luar dugaan adalah ternyata horizon peristiwa terus mengalami perluasan bagi pengamat bila black hole mengalami gerakan dengan kecepatan seragam. Perluasan model ini pada akhirnya menunjukkan terjadinya pergesaran biru (blue-shift).

Abstract

Grid computing provides high computing power, enormous data storage, and collaboration possibilities to its users. Grid computing is currently in the midst of evolving standards, inheriting and customizing from those developed in the high performance, distributed, and recently from the Web services community. Grid computing is widely regarded as a technology of immense potential in both industry and academia. Which this interest, security become necessery to provide authentication, authorization, resource protection, secure communication, data integrity, trust management and network security. This paper tells about progression of the security system on grid computing by conducting a survey of existing paper and applications have been developed.

Abstract

Indonesia merupakan salah satu produsen karet terbesar di dunia yang kini menempati posisi kedua setelah Thailand. Lateks yang diperoleh dari pohon karet dengan cara penyadapan selanjutnya di olah untuk berbagai keperluan. Rendahnya mutu bahan olah karet di Indonesia mendorong para peneliti untuk dapat meningkatkan kualitasnya. Salah satunya dengan memanfaatkan berbagai bahan untuk menggumpalkan lateks sebagai proses penanganan setelah penyadapan. Penelitian tentang pemanfaatan bahan-bahan seperti ekstrak buah-buahan yang memiliki pH asam, nira aren ataupun penggunaan limbah cair pabrik tahu yang juga sebagai bentuk penanganan limbah telah dilakukan. Hasil dari beberapa penelitian yang dilakukan menunjukkan bahwa bahan-bahan tersebut dapat digunakan sebagai penggumpal lateks.
