Abstract

Labuan bajo has several famous tourist such as: Komodo National Park, Lake Kelimutu, Batu Cermin, Kampung Bena, Seventeen Marine Park, Riung Island and Wae Rebo. With the increasing tourist sector in Labuan Bajo, more tourists come. With the increasing number of tourists, accommodation is also increasing and competing. The problem that becomes an issue here first is the existence of homestay residents who are less competitive with existing hotels and cottages. The second is the lack of character of traditional buildings displayed in homestay buildings, hotels, and cottages that already exist. So, this research aims to optimize homestays design to compete with other accommodation facilities. Based on the above problem issues, to solve the problem by analyzing, comparing, and evaluating the sample of tourist residences operating.  The design method used is the Cyclical design Process method in order to get optimal design alternatives. The final result obtained is in the form of a draft proposal that includes the arrangement of the floor plan and the proposal of the appearance of the design that has been adapted to the traditional building character and the needs of tourists.

Abstract

This study aims to assess the performance of teachers in applying all competencies in the learning process, mentoring in school education and planning for continuous professional development for teachers. Where in the process of assessing teacher performance at the school, they still use manual applications with a simple addition method and the lack of speed in processing teacher performance assessments is increasing from year to year. To solve these problems, the Weighted Product method was chosen, this method helps teacher performance appraisal decisions so that they get the best results, then implements the method into an application decision support system to speed up the assessment process. Then the final result of this study with a calculation accuracy rate of 100% based on manual calculations and calculations on the application with the results agreeing to the decision support system made.

Abstract

This photobioreactor research was carried out using Chlorella vulgaris algae as an O2-producing reactor and optimizing light energy as its energy source, with dimensions of 40x50x60 cm with control of pH, temperature, and chemical visibility factors. Variations are given by providing a supply of CO2 in both types of photobioreactors. Then it can be seen the concentration of O2 produced from the photobioreactor and its ability to overcome CO2 gas emissions. The use of glass as a reactor-making material is because glass is able to absorb visible light wavelengths in the range of 400–750 nm where at that wavelength microalgae can live and reproduce well. Before selecting the lamp used for the photobioreactor system. Measurements were carried out on two photobioreactors, namely, photobioreactors supplied and not supplied with CO2, and using three types of light sources, namely halogen lamps, LEDs, and sunlight. The maximum oxygen concentration value was produced by the photobioreactor supplied with CO2. The average percent error of the designed tool is 1.383% which is obtained by comparing the value of the designed tool with the reference measuring instrument.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to utilize residues of the plastic waste pyrolysis process and LDPE plastic as a substitute of cement in the manufacture of paving blocks. The residual pyrolysis process used was a pyrolysis residue of a mixture of polypropylene (PP) and low density polyethylene (LDPE) plastic waste with mass ratio of 100% PP, 75: 25%, 50: 50%, 40: 60%, 25: 75, and 100% LDPE. The mass ratio of LDPE plastic and pyrolysis residue were 70:30%, 60:40%, and 50:50%. The comparison of sand and residual pyrolysis of plastic waste used was 1: 1. The block paving obtained was characterized using SEM and quality tests were carried out with parameters of compressive strength and water absorption. The results of SEM analysis indicate the existence of a bond between sand and plastic pyrolysis residues. The variations in the type of plastic ratio in pyrolysis process indicate the varying of compressive strength and water absorption of the paving blocks

Abstract

Ngoro Subdistrict is an area with potential in the development of Agrotourism in Jombang Regency. which is famous for its agricultural products in the form of superior durian fruit, and is one of the largest durian fruit production areas in East Java. Ngoro Subdistrict has an area of 49.86 km² which is dominated by rice fields (42%), followed by settlements (19%), forests (18%), moor (12%), and others. The soil conditions in the area are textured with napal sand loam or belong to the type of soil in the reddish-brown and lysotol mediteran complexes, where this soil condition is very suitable for planting plantations. The agro-tourism land arrangement in Ngoro District is designed in such a way with a land order that has natural nuances and is also creative. The orientation of the building mass and the laying of vegetation on the site are also considered to form a microclimate as well as support thermal comfort through passive shading and cooling, as well as being an accommodating area in various educational and tourist activities. Bioclimatic architecture has been applied to the design of land orders, namely conditioning the environment and adapting climate as well as human behavior in the interaction between humans and the environment. It is hoped that in the future it can provide benefits for the local community as well as the environment, aiming that local and domestic tourists can also enjoy the facilities in this agro-tourism. On the other hand, the design of durian fruit agrotourism in Ngoro is also to encourage and increase the income and welfare of the people in the area. Keywords: Ngoro Subdistrict; Jombang; Land Order; Bioclimatic; Agrotourism.

Abstract

The Manufacturing Industry is one of the important sectors, over time the competition is increasing where to stay afloat it must be able to provide satisfaction to customers with the required product development, efficient production, and good quality. Electronic Manufacturing Service (EMS) companies compete on quality, cost and customer satisfaction. In the case study, the company tried to meet customer demand with a production capacity of more than 2,000 units per day, a line balancing calculated using the Yamazumi Diagram and several heuristic methods, namely the Largest Candidate Rule (LRC), Kilbridge and Wester Column (KWC), and Ranked Positional Weight. (RPW). The most optimal results are obtained with the LCR which is able to reduce 1 workstation, increase production by 546 units to 2,182 units per day, and increase the efficiency of the assembly line balance by 25%.

Abstract

One of the control problems that is a challenge for an engineer and the chemical industry itself is chemical processes which are closely related to nonlinear processes. The linear method is the choice for many researchers to overcome problems in nonlinear processes, namely the linearization technique. This causes uncertainty whether the controller is able to work on the actual nonlinear process. The purpose of this study is to integrate Aspen Plus Dynamics and Matlab Simulink to eliminate linearization in order to be able to control nonlinear processes optimally. The method used is to perform steady state and continued dynamics simulation in the case study of the deisobutanizer distillation. Then integration of Aspen Plus Dynamics with Matlab Simulink using AMSimulink. The results show that steady-state and dynamics simulations have been successfully carried out. Aspen Plus Dynamics and Matlab Simulink are integrated and able to run together. The controllers used include reflux drum level control, top column pressure control, and reboiler level control. The response results obtained in the co-simulation run well, the process response can perform setpoint tracking.

Abstract

SourceURL:file:///home/nfrozi/itats/ejurnal/iptek/3000-10559-1-ED.docxCurrently, we are entering the new normal era of the COVID-19 pandemic. Attendance activities can be one of the media for spreading COVID-19. Manual attendance activities make people gather in one place. Manual attendance activities also take a long time. By utilizing internet technology, this research combines body temperature measurement with the internet of things (IoT) based and is equipped with a hand sanitizer. The results of attendance data will be displayed on the web server. This device is made using ESP8266, MLX90164 temperature sensor, fingerprint sensor, IR sensor, pump motor, MB-102 power supply module, and buzzer. The tested device requires only input to activate three sensors (one integrity). As a result, this research succeeded in making the device able to work very well. The device can read body temperature with an average accuracy of 97.55–99.67% with the K3S Infrared Digital Pool Thermometer as a comparison. This device is designed to only take three seconds to clean hands compared to washing hands with soap and running water. The web server design works well too.
