Abstract

The aim of the study are, to analyze the effectiveness of IG Linear Algebra Learning in which is indicated by a. completion mathematic reasoning; b. a positive effect of activities to the mathematic reasoning; and c. the mathematic reasoning skill of experiment class is better than expository class. The results are Investigation Group based learning is effective as shown in point a. The mathematic reasoning skill is completed classically in which it reaches 71.69 upper than 65 normal point and reaches upper than 75 % individual; b. Motivation and activities of the students provide positive influence the mathematic reasoning for 91.7 % contribution altogether; c. Mathematic reasoning of experimental class is 71.96 better than the average score of 64.42 expository class. Keywords: Investigation Group, mathematical reasoning

Abstract

This study is aimed to describe how the efectivenees of PBL to develope mathematical problem solving skill in inferensia statistics learning. This study was a quasi experiment conducted on the odd semester in the academic year of 2014/2015. The research population was all the 3th semester of mathematics education department, Muhammadiyah University of Purwokerto ion inferensia statistics topic. From the population, two classes were selected as the sample. The selected classes were Class III B and Class III C. Class III B dealt with the PBL, and class III B dealt with the direct instruction. The instrument to collect the data was an essay test to measure the mathematical communication and problem solving skills. Kolmogorove-smirnov test was used to test the normality of the data and to homogenity test using Levene’s Test. The data were analyzed using independent t-test. The results of the study show that PBL efective to develope mathematical problem solving skill of the 3th semester of mathematics education department student, Muhammadiyah University of Purwokerto in inferensia statistic learning. Abstract

This research is a experimental research. The aim of this study was to determine whether the mathematical problem solving ability of students who get learning with exploration method is better than the students who get expository. The population of this study was all students of class VIII SMP in Cimahi. Sampling studies selected by strata. The first step is to choose a school in the town of Cimahi random, then choose two classes at the school by random. The instrument used in this study include the test instrument and the instrument of non tests. Test instruments used in the form of an evaluation sheet consisted of pretest and posttest, whereas the non-test instrument used was the questionnaire. Analysis is conducted quantitative data analysis. The results showed that the mathematical problem solving ability of students who received learning by exploration method is better than the mathematical problem solving ability of students who received expository. Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir tingkat tinggi mahasiswa pendidikan matematika Universitas Muhammadiyah Purwokerto. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di kelas III C semester ganjil tahun pelajaran 2013/ 2014. Jenis penelitian ini yaitu Penelitian Tindakan Kelas yang dilaksanakan dalam dua siklus dimana setiap siklusnya terdiri dari dua kali pembelajaran dan satu kali tes. Hasil penelitian ini yaitu pada sisklus I rata-rata skor tes 3,66 artinya masuk kriteria baik. Dengan rata-rata kemampuan analisis 4,54 , evaluasi yaitu 2,76, dan kreasi 2,83. Hasil penelitian Siklus II yaitu rata-rata skor tes 4,16 artinya masuk kriteria sangat baik. Dengan rata-rata kemampuan analisis 4,60, evaluasi 4,12, dan kreasi 2,88. Dari hasil tes kemampuan berpikir tingkat tinggi mahasiswa pada siklus II, terlihat mengalami peningkatan dari siklus I dan minimal masuk kriteria baik, sehingga penelitian dikatakan berhasil. Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk meningkatkan partisipasi aktif mahasiswa pada mata kuliah Analisis Kurikulum dan Materi Pembelajaran Matematika I dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe StudentsTeam-Achievement Division (STAD). STAD adalah salah satu tipe pembelajaran kooperatif dengan langkah-langkah meliputi Presentasi kelas, pembagian tim/kelompok, kuis, menentukan skor kemajuan siswa, dan rekognisi tim. Penelitian ini merupaka penelitian tindakan kelas. Subjek penelitian adalah mahasiswa program studi pendidikan matematika Universitas Ahmad Dahlan tahun ajaran 2014/2015 yang menempuh mata kuliah Analisis Kurikulum dan Materi Pembelajaran Matematika I. Objek penelitian meliputi seluruh proses pembelajaran dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe STAD dan partisipasi aktif mahasiswa pada mata kuliah Analisis Kurikulum dan Materi Pembelajaran Matematika I. Instumen penelitian meliputi peneliti, lembar observasi, dokumentasi, dan pedoman wawancara. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe STAD dapat meningkatkan partisipasi aktif mahasiswa dalam mata kuliah Analisis Kurikulum dan Materi Pembelajaran Matematika I. Hal ini ditunjukkan dengan peningkatan skor keaktifan mahasiswa dari 36,81 pada siklus I menjadi 44,38 pada siklus II dari skor maksimal 50. Abstract

The purposes of this study to determine: (1) The different improvement of students proficiency of mathematics understanding who were taught through STAD, Jigsaw and the students who were taught through conventional study, (2) The different improvement of students proficiency of mathematics understanding who were taught through STAD, Jigsaw and the students who were taught through conventional study, (3) How the process of problem solving by the students who were taught through STAD, Jigsaw and conventional study. This research was aquasi-experimental study. This study population of this study are the students of XI IPA in Medan. The school are selected randomly as the subjects research, those are SMA Negeri 17 Medan and SMA Dharma Pancasila Medan. The first experimental class was treated by STAD, the second experimental class was treated by Jigsaw and the control class was treated by conventional study. The instruments used consist of: (1) The proficiency test of mathematics understanding, (2) The proficiency test of mathematics communication and (3) The observation sheet. These instruments have fullfilled the essential of content validity and reliability coefficient used were 0.91 and 0.91 for mathematics understanding and mathematics communication. The data analysis was done by using variance analysis (ANAVA). The results showed that (1) The different improvement of students proficiency of mathematics understanding who were taught through STAD, Jigsaw and the students who were taught through conventional study, (2) The different improvement of students proficiency of mathematics understanding who were taught through STAD, Jigsaw and the students who were taught through conventional study, (3) The process of problem solving by the students who were taught through STAD, Jigsaw have many variations if it was compared by the process of problem solving by the students who were taught through conventional study. Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menggambarkan penguasaan kemampuan matematika siswa pada materi fungsi, dan mendeskripsikan kemampuan penalaran dan komunikasi pada setiap skor dengan menggunakan rubrik penilaian unjuk kerja. Metode deskriptif kuantitatif digunakan dalam penelitian ini dikarenakan terdapat relevansi pada proses awal sampai kesimpulan yang tersusun. Adapun, sampel yang diambil adalah sebanyak 77 mahasiswa tingkat satu pada salah perguruan tinggi swasta tahun akademik 2014/2015. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa: 1) kemampuan matematis mahasiswa secara klasikal telah mencapai ketuntasan yang ditandai dengan nilai rata-rata diatas Kriteria Ketuntasan Minimum (KKM), sebaliknya ketuntasan secara individual hanya mencapai 63%. 2) Kemampuan mengkomunikasikan gagasan ke dalam bentuk digram matematika secara keseluruhan hampir lengkap, jelas, efisien, dan tidak ragu-ragu. Sedangkan, untuk kemampuan menggunakan ide-ide dan prosedur penalaran matematika untuk menarik kesimpulan yang telah dibuktikan, secara keseluruhan sebagian besar adalah benar, walaupun, masih terdapat kesalahan perhitungan yang serius. Kata Kunci : penalaran matematis, komunikasi matematis.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memperoleh gambaran kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa MTs Negeri Bojong pada materi statistika. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kualitatif. Subjek penelitian adalah siswa kelas kelas VII C MTs Negeri Bojong pada tahun pelajaran 2014/ 2015. Data diambil menggunakan tes uraian kemampuan komunikasi matematis dan wawancara untuk mendapatkan informasi yang mendalam sehingga diperoleh gambaran kemampuan komunikasi matematisnya. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa : 1) siswa pada kelompok rendah hanya mampu menafsirkan suatu persoalan secara sederhana; 2) siswa pada kelompok sedang sudah mampu menyatakan persoalan dalam bentuk tabel maupun diagram serta sudah dapat menafsirkan suatu persoalan secara sederhana; 3) siswa pada kelompok tinggi sudah mampu menyatakan persoalan dalam bentuk tabel maupun diagram dan menafsirkan suatu persoalan secara kompleks.
