Abstract

Kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk memberikan pelatihan tentang pengembangan media pembelajaran berbantuan Microsoft Excel bagi guru-guru SMP di MGMP matematika MKKS Rayon 6 Banyumas, sehingga pemahaman dan keterampilan dalam membuat media pembelajaran berbantuan Microsoft Excel semakin baik. Materi pelatihan terdiri dari pengembangan media berbantuan Microsof Excel pada meteri pembelajaran operasi hitung sederhana (penjumlahan, pengurangan, perkalian, pembagian, dan kombinasinya), statistika dan peluang, program linier, matriks, dan sistem persamaan linier dua variabel (SPLDV). Pelatihan ini menggunakan metode ceramah, demonstrasi, diskusi, latihan, dan bimbingan langsung. Berdasarkan pengamatan, hasil kegiatan dapat disimpulkan bahwa: 1) pemahaman guru tentang penggunaan Microsoft excel dalam pembelajaran matematika semakin meningkat tidak sebatas pada fungsi statistic sederhana dan 2) guru semakin termotivasi untuk mengembangkan media pembelajaran berbantuan Microsoft excel.  Kata kunci: Media Pembelajaran, Microsoft Excel

Abstract

Abstrak. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan perbedaan kemampuan komunikasi matematis mahasiswa pada mata kuliah Telaah Kurikulum SMP ditinjau dari gender. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Subyek penelitiannya adalah mahasiswa semester III kelas B tahun ajaran 2016/2017 yang menggambil mata kuliah Telaah Kurikulum SMP. Instrumen yang digunakan berupa tes kemampuan komunikasi matematis. Pemilihan sampel menggunakan teknik purposive sampling, sehingga diperoleh 3 mahasiswa laki-laki dan 3 mahasiswa perempuan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa 1) baik mahasiswa laki-laki ataupun mahasiswa perempuan kurang mampu dalam menyajikan masalah dari bahasa verbal ke simbol matematis dan dalam penggunaan simbol kurang tepat, 2) mahasiswa laki-laki lebih tepat dalam menyajikan masalah ke bentuk diagram dari pada mahasiswa perempuan, dan 3) mahasiswa perempuan lebih tepat dalam memberikan alasan  atas suatu pernyataan dibandingkan mahasiswa laki-laki.Kata Kunci: Kemampuan Komunikasi Matematis, Gender, Telaah Kurikulum SMP  Abstract. This study aimed to describe the differences of mathematical communication ability of students on the subject Telaah Kurikulum SMP viewed from gender. This research is a descriptive study with qualitative approach. The subject of his research is the third semester students of class B in the academic year of 2016/2017 who took the subject of the Telaah Kurikulum SMP. Instrument used was in the form of mathematical communication ability tests. The sampling method was by purposive sampling technique, then it gained 3 male and 3 female students. The results showed that 1) both students of male or female students are less capable of presenting the problem of verbal language to mathematical symbols and the use of symbols is less precise, 2) male students is more appropriate in presenting the problem in the form of a diagram than female students, and 3) female students are more precise in giving reasons for a statement than male students.Keywords: Mathematical Communication Ability, Gender, Telaah Kurikulum SMP

Abstract

ABSTRACT: The space geometry is one of the major subjects, which must be taken by the students of the mathematics education. The aim of the courses is to make students are able to master the form geometry in three dimensions. Competencies must be mastered include the ability to draw space, the ability to draw the slice field, and the ability to determine the extents of the slice field. Based on the competencies, the material of the space geometry was not an easy matter to be mastered by students. Students needed their imagination to visualize the shape, which came from the two-dimensional images shaped into a three dimensional or vice versa. These difficulties did not only occur on the students, but also the mathematics teachers, who had the learning process in the schools. This research belonged to qualitative descriptive study, in which the subject of this research was the class A second semester students of Mathematics Education Study Program of UMP (Muhammadiyah University of Purwokerto) in Central Java, Indonesia, in academic year 2015/2016, which belonged to the class of the shape geometry. The instruments which were used were the observation sheet and the documentation in the form of photographs or videos. The research procedures consisted of the steps in the lesson study in 3 cycles. Each cycle consisted of plan, do, and see steps. Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah mendeskripsikan kemampuan pemahaman konsep mahasiswa dalam pembuatan rencana pelaksanaan pembelajaran. Jenis penelitiannya adalah deskriptif kualitatif. Subyek penelitian adalah mahasiswa pendidikan matematika yang mengambil mata kuliah Dasar Proses Pembelajaran Matematika Semester III Kelas A Tahun Ajaran 2017/2018. Instrumen yang digunakan yaitu tes dan dokumentasi. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian disimpulkan bahwa mahasiswa dengan kemampuan prestasi rendah masih mengalami kekuarangan dalam kemampuan mengklasifikasikan objek-objek berdasarkan persyaratan yang membentuk konsep penyusun RPP. Kekurangan tersebut yaitu pada unsur susunan secara keseluruhan, identitas RPP, kompetensi inti, kompetensi dasar, indikator, media pembelajaran, kegiatan pendahuluan, dan kegiatan inti.

Abstract

This research aims to increase the active participation of students through lesson study courses in the geometry of space subject. This type of research is a qualitative descriptive study with the subject is the class A students of the fourth semester  in academic year 2015/2016 who are in the geometry of spaces subject with the number of students are 35. The instruments used are observation sheets of the students' active participation and documentation in the form of photographs and videos. The research procedures based on the stages of the lesson study were 3 cycles in which each cycle consisting of the activity plan, do, and see. This study shows that the results of learning process with the lesson study designed by the model lecturer and the observer can increase the students' active participation, particularly on the subjects of geometry of space. Abstract

Each person has a different mathematical communication ability. Mathematical communication ability is a person's ability to convey information about mathematical concepts and ideas both in spoken and written form. This study aimed to describe the mathematical communication skills of students of Grade VIII of SMP Negeri 2 Purwokerto based on extracurricular activities. The type of this research was descriptive qualitative. The subjects used in this study were students of Grade VIII B SMP N 2 Purwokerto in the 2019/2020 academic year. Data were collected using the form of tests, interviews, and documentation. The test used in this study was a written mathematical communication skill test. The research subjects consisted of 2 students with academic extracurricular activities, 2 students with non-academic extracurricular activities, and 2 students with both academic and non-academic extracurricular activities. The results of this study indicated that: 1) students who only took academic extracurricular activities and students who took both academic and non-academic extracurriculars were able to present mathematical ideas in the form of images, mathematical symbols, and provide arguments for problems that were presented appropriately, and 2) students who only joined non-academic extracurricular activities, in general, had not provided arguments for a problem that was presented properly, but they were able to present mathematical ideas into the form of images and mathematical symbols appropriately.Keywords: Mathematical communication skills, extracurricular activities.

Abstract

AbstractMathematical creative thinking ability is a critical ability in learning mathematics, especially in solving mathematical problems. This research is a qualitative descriptive study that aims to describe the mathematical creative thinking skills based on the mathematical resilience of grade VII F students of SMP Negeri 1 Banyumas. The research subjects were grouped into 3 categories, namely high, medium, and low mathematical resilience categories. The sampling technique used purposive sampling by taking 3 people each in each category to become respondents. Data collection was done by giving questionnaires, written tests, interviews, and documentation which were carried out online. The data analysis technique was done by reducing the data, presenting the data, and drawing conclusions. The results showed: (1) students in the high mathematical resilience category were able to provide a variety of different solutions, as well as come up with new ideas with systematic and detailed answers, (2) students in the moderate mathematical resilience category were able to provide more than one different solution with systematic answers but not detailed, and (3) students in the low mathematical resilience category can solve mathematical problems with systematic.Keywords: Mathematical Creative Thinking Skills; Mathematical Resilience AbstrakKemampuan berpikir kreatif matematis adalah kemampuan yang penting dalam pembelajaran matematika, terlebih dalam penyelesaian permasalahan matematika. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif kualitatif yang bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan kemampuan berpikir kreatif matematis berdasarkan pada resiliensi matematis siswa kelas VII F SMP Negeri 1 Banyumas. Subyek penelitian dikelompokkan menjadi 3 kategori, yaitu kategori resiliensi matematis tinggi, sedang, dan rendah. Teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan purposive sampling dengan mengambil masing –masing 3 orang pada setiap kategori untuk dijadikan responden. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan pemberian angket, tes tertulis, wawancara, dan dokumentasi yang dilakukan secara online. Teknik analisis data dilakukan dengan reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan: (1) siswa kategori resiliensi matematis tinggi mampu memberikan berbagai penyelesaian berbeda, serta memunculkan ide baru dengan jawaban yang sistematis dan terperinci, (2) siswa kategori resiliensi matematis sedang mampu memberikan lebih dari satu penyelesaian yang berbeda dengan jawaban yang sistematis namun tidak rinci, dan (3) siswa kategori resiliensi matematis rendah mampu menyelesaikan permasalahan matematika dengan jawaban yang sistematis.Kata Kunci: Kemampuan Berpikir Kreatif Matematis; Resiliensi Matematis

Abstract

This study aimed to 1) create students' worksheets (LKPD) for mathematics learning based on Open-Ended Problems on students' mathematical creative thinking skills that meet the validity aspect. 2) create students' worksheets (LKPD) for mathematics learning based on Open-Ended Problems on students' mathematical creative thinking skills that meet practical Aspects. 3) create students' worksheets (LKPD) for mathematics learning based on Open-Ended Problems on students' mathematical creative thinking skills that meet the aspect of effectiveness. This research used 4D development, modified into three stages, namely Define, Design, and Develop.  The trial was carried out in MTs.  Wathoniyah Islamiyah Kebarongan with research subjects of 9 students in Grade IXA. The research found that the mathematics learning worksheets that had been developed met the validity aspects as measured by the assessment of the validation results of experts with an average score of 4.1. The practicality of the LKPD was measured based on the observation of the implementation of the LKPD which was shown to be fulfilled in the fully implemented category.  The teacher's response indicated an average score of 4.0 meaning that the mathematics worksheets are practical for learning activities. The effectiveness of the LKPD was shown by the fulfilment of the established effectiveness indicators, namely the average N-Gain normality test, the results of which were carried out through the results of the pretest and posttest. The N-Gain normality test got an average score of 0.5130 which was interpreted as moderate. Thus, the development of mathematics worksheets effectively affects students' creative thinking abilities. It can be concluded that the LKPD developed is valid, practical, and effective

Abstract

This study aims to produce a contextual-based module to improve students' mathematical critical thinking skills on whole numbers and fractions that have aspects of validity, practicality, and effectiveness. The subjects used were seventh-grade junior high school students. The type of research is research and development (R&D). The development model is ADDIE, consisting of analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation stages. Instruments include questionnaires and tests. Data analysis includes aspects of validation, practicality, and effectiveness. The results showed that the contextual-based mathematics module fulfilled the essential elements, namely valid and practical. In addition, the contextual-based module can be used to develop students' mathematical critical thinking skills (effectively).

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memperoleh gambaran kemampuan representasi matematis ditinjau dari peminatan saat jenjang pendidikan menengah mahasiswa semester I Program Studi Pendidikan Matematika FKIP Universitas Muhammadiyah Purwokerto. Jenis penelitian digunakan adalah penelitian deskriptif kualitatif. Prosedur penelitian ini meliputi tiga tahapan utama yaitu: tahap persiapan, tahap pelaksanaan, dan tahap analisis data. Pada tahap persiapan meliputi: (a) mempersiapkan soal tes kemampuan representasi matematis; (b) menentukan subyek penelitian, yaitu dengan cara purposive sampling, sehingga diperoleh 9 Mahasiswa, 3 mahasiswa dari jenjang SMA IPA, 3 mahasiswa dari jenjang SMA IPS, 3 mahasiswa dari jenjang SMK teknik untuk diwawancarai tentang kemampuan representasi matematisnya; dan (c) membuat pedoman wawancara. Tahap pelaksanaan meliputi: (a) mengambil data jenjang pendidikan menengah mahasiswa; (b) melaksanakan tes representasi matematis; dan (c) melaksanakan wawancara. Tahap analisis data meliputi: (a) tahapan reduksi data, (b) penyajian data, dan (c) penyimpulan data. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan oleh peneliti melalui beberapa cara, yaitu: tes dan wawancara. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (a) mahasiswa dengan latar belakang SMA IPA mempunyai kemampuan representasi matematis, (b) mahasiswa dengan latar belakang SMA IPS belum memiliki kemampuan representasi matematis, dan (c) mahasiswa dengan latar belakang SMK sudah memiliki kemampuan representasi matematis, walaupun belum sempurna.
